Thank you Caos for your quick and precise answer! -
Un -huh, I’ve seen the main site many times. I already rent Kasper Total. I am NOT looking for more stuff to buy , I am looking for the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. After reading every word in the entirety of the link you provide, still has no “privacy Policy” nor a “Terms of Use”. Those I have managed to find after trudging through dozens of pages, also link to the front sale page. Some pages MAY have the policies, but are buried under the “ACCEPT AND CLOSE” cookie plopper. Shouldn’t we be permitted to read the policies BEFORE we “ACCEPT”? If it helps, the link you provided which I was permitted to extract is “https://www.kaspersky.com/web-privacy-policy”. As soon as I hit that page, the page redirects me to the main page (most all do this) - that being “https://www.kaspersky.ca/” I did manage to find one page that wasn’t covered up with the ACCEPT or leave option, but there was no policy of any kind on that page. ~h~ Thanks for the quick response though. -
Full scan report shows strange number of files scanned.
homer1959 replied to homer1959's topic in Kaspersky Security Cloud
Flood, Berny Problem solved 😉 , i decided to re-install KSC Free and voila , the comma are now at the right place giving me a number making way more sense, the last scan returned 1,616,919 yeah !!! The scan last 4hr 28 mn !!! Its a lot of files and I am surprised about that since other AV never returned that amount, not even close . But maybe this is why KSC is the best free AV available to home users ? 🤔 I have scheduled a full scan once a week is it too much ? I dont mind to work my hard drive intensively for 4hrs 30 a week but only if it is necessary . I have also scheduled a daily quick scan . anyway , merci beaucoup to you both for your support its really appreciated to have people like you in this community , have a great week !!! -
Kaspersky detects as Trojan: RoboForm: c:\windows\system32\tasks\Run RoboForm TaskBar Icon
zivshosh replied to zivshosh's topic in Kaspersky Anti-Virus
Thank you FLOOD for a quick answer of course all programs are licensed but I renewed KAV 2019 just a month ago. I was expecting to be on 2020 version but I stayed on 2019. How do I upgrade to KAV 2020? Would KAV20 work with the same license I received only a month ago? BTW, I would have believed you without the attachments -

"error in graphics driver occured", avpui.exe The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception
Guest replied to evjlsrain's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
Somehow my problem is solved 😂 Well, I didn’t do anything special, it’s just like in 1 normal day the quick tour screen appears indicating that the problem is solved. Also, i noticed that the application is still working despite the error. It still updates according to the taskbar icon and the anti-PUP feature still works -
About product registration. Multiple OS on a single device? [Solved][Closed]

Quick question. Would multiple OS on one PC counted as a single device? For example, for bootcamp users on a mac based computer. -

Kaspersky falsely identified as Avira by Windows 10 Update? [Closed]
ch53e_de replied to ch53e_de's topic in Kaspersky Security Cloud
Hi Flood, thanks for keeping this going. Not sure I understand your question "...what was connected to the computer?" It's a Sony Vayo Laptop in its docking station, external mouse, keyboard and monitor connected to the docking staion. That's it. Yes, I told MS. I got lot's of procedures from them, and followed them. Basically: cleanup system (delete everything unnecessary, temp, restore points, win update downloads etc.) and make sure Avira is totally removed. I followed a procedure by Avira themselves that MS recommended. That way I found some more Avira folders (in C:\programdata e.g.) and they proved extremely hard to delete. Deleted all of them in the end. Still: my search tool says, it still cannot access a lot of places, when looking for "Avira", so there still might be something very very hidden. hosts file: congrats, you are thorough! Forgot about that: changed the host files myself upon recommendation; was supposed to reduce annoying behaviour of that application. Can change back if important. Now following your recommendation, total removal of KSC with tool. On it. Thanks, will report. ch53e_de -
Add Logitech presentation device to "Trusted Devices"

Yes it does. When I plug the pointer's USB transceiver into the computer, another "HID Keyboard Device" entry appears under "Keyboards" in Device Manager. -

Hi, Could you please clarify is this device detected by OS as keyboard type device? -
OK, browser cache cleared (Firefox) and temporary files deleted using Windows Utility tools. Computer restarted and nothing has really changed. By that I mean when I press the Windows logo key on my keyboard + R and type in service.msc there is no entry for Windows Update. In summary then, the situation as it stands at this moment is that: (a) I have no restore points. (b) Windows Update is not working (c) Many files over the past few days (.exe plus .swf and several others files not recorded by KIS although deleted by KIS) have simply disappeared. I am firmly of the opinion that the fault lies at the door of KIS as there is always a pop-up from KIS advising that files cannot be disinfected and are being deleted. It might be worth noting that no programmes have been manually update by me (including Adobe Flash) that would account for any of this. I make mention of this because swf files are associated with the latter mentioned.

Kaspersky rescue disc don't work.
Andrey Kirzhemanov replied to Bboylubsko's topic in Kaspersky Rescue Disk
Hi, Bboylubsko Thank you for KRT core files! KRT crashes because it can't connect to XServer display. And all other applications can't be started due to same problem. XServer can refuse connections to existing X display if hostname has been changing on Wi-Fi connection. Please, provide screenshot with results of following test: 1) Run terminal 2) Execute command - echo ${HOSTNAME} 3) Try to connect to problem Wi-Fi network (don't close terminal) 4) In terminal execute command again - echo ${HOSTNAME} 5) Make screenshot (press Prt Scr button on keyboard) If values of HOSTNAME is different on step 2 and step 4 try to execute command in terminal - echo ${HOSTNAME} > /proc/sys/kernel/hostname and try to start any graphical application (KRT for example). -
Kaspersky AV 19.0.0.1088(f), Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, Real VNC® Server 5.3.2 (r19179) x64 Accessing my PC remotely using RealVNC, I made a change to AV settings and got the confirmation required popup and was annoyed to find that I couldn't click the "Continue" button from the remote client. Fortunately, I was just upstairs in the den, so coming down to use the keyboard and mouse wasn't the end of the world. -

Hi Flood Thanks for your quick reply. Win10 version & build? (select Windows 🔎 Search, type winver press enter, the popup will display the information) 1909 (Build 18363.628) KSK license & version ? Premium, 1.0.5.1360 Has a KSK/system requirements check been done? yes Is “after entering the password & pressing enter, the screen goes black” a new problem or has always existed? It is a new problem. It doesn’t happen with each login, only about each 2nd. It does not happen if I de-install KSK. It re-appears if I re-install KSK. Have you deleted & recreated your son’s Windows profile & rechecked? yes. If a “dummy” child profile is created, at login, after entering the password & pressing enter, does the screen black ? Not tested. What would be the difference between a real profile and a dummy profile? Has KSK been uninstalled & reinstalled? yes. Any idea? best Slooti

Pasword Manager does not open sites using the System Default Browser
Dzomlija replied to Dzomlija's topic in Kaspersky Password Manager
Thanks, @FLOOD for your trouble. My first primary issue was with KPM using Edge as default and not Firefox. This has been resolved. I’ll just wait awhile for the official KTS add-on for Chromium Edge, which isn’t my default browser anyway. Thanks again. Your quick responses to my queries is precisely why I continue to use and recommend Kaspersky products to everyone. -
I would like to configure the KES 11 "Device Control" module but would like to use "Best Practice" or recommended methods so that I am not creating any issues. Can someone share screen shots of their settings or point me to a document. Specifically I want to control the USB ports on devices by limiting to an AD Group or User. But yet always allow some devices (Example had held scanner and Keyboard/mouse) for all users. Is there a Kaspersky service to assist us doing this? We are a MSA Plus customer.

Network path blocked, Cannot create file "\\servername\something\something.ini
Flood and Flood's wife replied to JanezJ's topic in Kaspersky Anti-Virus
Hello @JanezJ , Thank you for the quick reply and the comprehensive information👏! Regarding the licenses, that’s perfectly fine, from the topic detail, it sounded as if you may have been using Kaspersky commercial software, it’s good it’s licensed as Kaspersky free software has configuration limitations & no Technical Support, which would make this harder to solve, all good👌 Have you tried adding exclusions for the blocked network path🤔 Please let me know? Thank you🙏 Additionally: if the Community cannot solve this, it would be a good idea to request help from Kaspersky Technical Support, they will need GSI & Windows Logs, as more than one operating system is involved, run the GSI tool for both systems, & they may need Traces, they will guide you to collect these if needed. After you submit the request, you’ll receive an automated email with an INC+12 digits reference #, then, normally, within 5 business days, a Kaspersky Lab human🕵 will contact you, also by email, you may continue to communicate with them via reply email & or by updating the INC in your MyKaspersky.com account.
