  4. Hello, I try to update my clients on ksc from kes 11.1 to 11.2. On most clients I get two errors messages and update failed (translated from french) : Error 1 : Patch installation error, file C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\KES\Patches\kes11\kes11_2\aes256\fr\kes_win.msi not found Error 2 : File use error, task launch not possible. How can I solve these errors ? System on clients is Windows 10 64bits 1909. Thanks by advance.
  5. Thank you for your quick response. The version is 1903 (OS Build 18362.476) I’ve had in on here for 3 years or so. I can’t remember how it was installed. Steps 2 and 3 sound too complex for me. Thank you for sharing; KIS 2016 Runs as 32 bit on 64 bit Windows 10 I don’t need to read that, I just was asking if that was the reason it ran hot because sometimes thats the problem. I have the Microsoft Windows Defender protection on but it uses no power and no memory, so I was wondering if the stats I gave you were high or if that is just how hot KIS runs. So if there is a way to get it to use less power then please let me know. Otherwise I’ll have to live with it.

The information about the version will be available in the window opened. How long has KAVF been installed ? Were System requirements & Software compatibility checks performed before installing KAVF? Please run a GSI & Windows Logs, upload the folder to cloud & post back the link please? Please run Windows in SafeMode with Networking, test if the issue is replicated? Please let us know?   7. Hello @Lemarque, KIS patch f is currently being distributed, if (your) KIS is yet to receive the patch, perform a regular shutdown of the computer. There may not be any indication a patch is “waiting”, the patch is applied by shutdowning down and restarting the computer. KIS Release Notes: Patches A – F for version 20.0.14.1085 Vulnerability Report: List of Advisories, issued on 25th November, 2019 Also, KIS 2020 has new software compatibility requirements, it’s worth doing a quick check to ensure there’s no conflicts.     KIS got postponed [Closed]

    Hi @FLOOD Everything seems to be fine (synched and checked as correctly working). It’s just that one time in which KIS couldn’t even start - clicking on KIS’ icon did nothing at all - that got me quite scared. But if that could have been just a temporary conflict (as a simple reboot did the trick) with windows, well, I can stop freaking out (XD). Thank you very much for the quick answer!

    Cloud item ignored in scan

    Thank you for the quick replies. Also yes, this is the first time that the report showed “x ignored cloud” . Recently I did a clean installation of windows, formatting my pc, and before I did that KIS never showed me that “ignored cloud” message. It’s actually quite probable that I missed some updates, previously, either from the Windows side or from KIS and that the ignored cloud is just 1drive. I’ll try to ask TS about it and update the result here too. Thank you very much for all the help and the willingness (in answering my questions)

    Welcome. Please post the full, complete detection details. Full file name, full path, full location, detection verdict. Post screenshot of Reports > Detailed reports > Detected objects. Main Kaspersky window > More Tools > Reports > upper right > Detailed reports > at the upper left, drop down from All Events to Detected objects.   12. Hello @Roy, Welcome! (1) On Android: sign into your online MyKaspersky account, make sure your password data is available. (2) On PC, sign into your MyKaspersky account, make sure your device and MyK account are connected, synced. (3) If (1) & (2) are correct, automatic synchronization of data occurs as per the following advice: When you add data to your vault on one device, the application automatically sends this data to cloud storage, then from cloud storage to your other devices that have Kaspersky Password Manager installed and that are connected to My Kaspersky using the same My Kaspersky account. Keeping your data up-to-date and consistent on all your devices also helps restore your data if you replace or lose a device. The status of data synchronization is displayed in the synchronization window. Sync data manually Unlock the vault by entering the master password and tapping Unlock. If your device is running Android 6.0 or later, supports fingerprint authentication, and fingerprint authentication is enabled in the app settings, you can use it to unlock your vault instead of entering the master password. In the main app window, tap or swipe the screen to the right. The quick access bar appears on the left. On the quick access bar, tap Sync. In the window that opens view the status of data sync and tap Sync now. Kaspersky Password Manager starts data sync. Thank you. Sync data across devices

Hello @Dinsdale1, You’re very welcome, I’m delighted the issues are resolved🤸 Thank you for the additional information and for thinking of others who’ll read your post👏 Autorun, is a good/recommended setting.In my image, the tiny ? highlighted red, selecting a question mark in any Kaspersky software will open a browser to the help document specific to the application window; the ? on this screen, Launch Kaspersky Internet Security at computer startup (recommended) If KIS does play up, and it’s not due to any other 3rd pty software, hardware, or environmental issues, selecting Restore settings may help, otherwise, reinstalling, can be a successful solution, & always ask, we’re here to help, if we can’t, the Kaspersky Technical Team will (for licensed software). Regarding Windows, 1909 is the latest version. Best regards.

    'Facebook New Feature' Scan, Android.

    Hello @Safety Seeker, Welcome! Please tell us: (A) Android version? KIS version? Facebook version? Do you have an image of the 'Facebook New Feature' please? Do you have an image of the Kaspersky msg “new app and required the premium version to perform the scan”, please?I’ve checked the KIS Free version, there are no scan limitations, Quick Scan, scans installed apps, including new apps, Full Scan, scans entire device. There is a new Facebook Protect feature, using 2FA🤔(B) My suggestions: Go to Google PlaySore, check your account, select My Apps & games, verify the Facebook application version installed including the last update date & version? Go to Phone Application Manager, check Facebook application, ensure the version information matches that of the Facebook application in Google PlayStore. If the information does not match: Uninstall Facebook application. Reboot phone. Run KIS (manual) Database Update. Run KIS (manual) Full Scan. Download & install Facebook application. Reboot phone. Run KIS (manual) Database Update. Run KIS (manual) Full Scan. Monitor for any issues?Please post back? Thank you
  15. I recently installed Kasperksy Internet Security for my Android mobile phone. I swiped into my phone yesterday, 16th November. It showed a notification of an update for 'Facebook New Feature'. I found this strange as I’d have expected it to just show ‘Facebook’. So I clicked on it to start a scan, but Kaspersky would not scan it and said that it was a new app and required the premium version to perform the scan. Nothing suspicious has happened on my phone since that time. I performed a quick scan, then a full scan later. Both returned no issues. The Application Manager shows Facebook installed, but no ‘Facebook New Feature'. Should I be concerned about this? If so, what should I do? Why would Kaspersky not scan this update/installation? Does Kaspersky scan apps installed on the phone, after the date which Kaspersky was installed? Could this be a database virus update regarding some vulnerability in Facebook?
  16. @Mike89, KIS & KAV are different. The table I posted earlier shows the Components & Features available in KAV. KAV: Kaspersky Protection extension/addon (shield) provides: On Screen Keyboard. Open the Kaspersky Protection extension/addon (shield), please post an image?Thank you.

Hello @display10, Thank you for replying and the image👏 Yes, you have the Kaspersky Protection addon installed👌 “secure keybord input” working is good✅, however, a heads up, according to Kaspersky Lab Technical Support, Sent: Tuesday, 15 October 2019 15:44 “the “secure keybord input” feature requires script injection by Kaspersky, we have received news that Mozilla will be applying a restriction in Firefox, resulting in the loss of the virtual keyboard icon.” The Lab have not provided an ETA for this change. (A) Referring to your image, please select the 3 horizontal dots, that will show you the Kaspersky Protection addon version and will show if Kaspersky Protection addon has “permission” to run in Private browser? (B) Also, please select/open the small (Kaspersky) green shield, in the top of the FireFox browser - highlighted red, please post an image for me? (C) Please show an image of KIS AntiBanner settings? (D) Please show an image of KIS Web AntiVirus settings? (E) May I have an image please, of a “search for Kaspersky Community”, refer my image: Please post back? Thank you🙏
  18. This is what they asked me to do and what I also did. It resolved my problem😀 Since by disabling Web Anti-virus component the issue is resolved, please try to enable Web Anti-virus and perform the following test: 1. Please launch your Internet Security 2. Click on Kaspersky Internet Security on the menu bar 3. Go to Preferences 4. Now locate and un-check the option to "Check Secure connections (HTTPS)" 👍
  19. Hello @Caspians. Installed 2020 already, you must be a quick “reader”😉 Thank you for the report! What’s interesting is, (for GraphPad Prism 7.03), KIS is not collecting the alerts, other than: to allocate it to the Low Restricted group, and, move it to: Trusted group, presumably after you’ve acknowledged the alerts. I’m going to test some of the apps you’ve mentioned… I’ll post back on this. Also, is KIS licensed? If “yes”, have you raised a case with the Lab? Let me know please? Thank you🙏 !

    TouchPal Keyboard internet search not blocked by KSK

    Hello @XM42, Additional: ☢ 60 applications developed by CooTek, including, TouchPal Keyboard, have been removed from Google Play Store. CooTek (Developer of TPK) has also been reportedly banned from Google's advertising platforms☢ (My recommendation) uninstall TouchPal Keyboard, there’s more issues with it than just KSK “blocking”. TouchPal Keyboard - where is it sourced from? May I have the source URL please? What application category has KSK defined for: TouchPal Keyboard? Do you wish for TouchPal Keyboard to be available for the child to use, but need it to have “Safe Search” capacity or you do not wish for the child to have access to the TouchPal Keyboard?Please post back?   22. KSK is unable to block access to the internet done through the search function within the TouchPal keyboard, KSK blocking of Bing, Google and it's variants has no affect. This is a major failure with KSK since the internet can be accessed without limitations regardless of the KSK blocking settings.
  23. @FLOOD Since my last post the ‘new copy’ of KIS 20.0.14.1085 has updated from patch c to patch e. I’ve been turning the PC on at about 09:00 and leaving it on for about 12 hours with the screen saver cutting in after about 4 minutes inactivity. The Detailed Reports show a Quick Scan at the scheduled time of 11:00 and a daily Rootkit Scan at between 14:51 and 15:58. - So I guess this is progress.

  25. Thank you for your responses. For the time being I have gone with richbuff’s option 2 and referred the problem to support, though I’ve not provided a GSI as I assume that I would need to reinstall Kapersky before doing so and I’m currently trying to catch up on the work I missed doing due to this problem. I am kind of hoping that this may be a know Windows problem with somr kind of known work around though I suspect that it’s not. As for FLOOD’s suggestion I am trying to check on Microsoft’s advisories but need to refine my google search as there seem to be an inordinate number of references to keyboard and mouse lag on the web.
