Thank you Berny. You were correct. I got it going after a couple more attempts. The first few times it kept getting interrupted and stopping - I have no idea why. It just seemed very finicky. But I tried again and it worked and went through the end - took all of 26 minutes I have a couple of questions - Where does this scan (launched from the command line) pick up its settings from? It seems to be running with some default values at the moment. For example, How do I enable "iSwift"? Which files does the Rootkit Scan look at? All the objects loaded in memory? I do see that most of the files picked were Windows System, Common and Font files + Program Files that were open and running Does a Quick Scan look at all of the same objects that the Rootkit Scan does? Hello SupR-Pingou, Thank you. The Lab may take a few days to get back to you. As the issue started when KIS19 was installed we know it's not due to KIS20, we also know KIS20 hasn't fixed it. (a) If you haven't done so already, please set up Time Machine. (b) Please close all apps (not KIS), before doing the following: Select: Go To Folder in Finder’s Go menu (or select keyboard shortcut Shift (⇧)—Command (⌘)—G ) paste the full path ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.itunes in the field, select Go button. Hold the Command (⌘) key while selecting the fsCachedData folder and SubscriptionPlayCache folder, then release the key and select Move to Trash from the Finder’s File menu (alternatively, select Command (⌘)—Backspace (⌫) ). Repeat: open a Finder window, select “Go to Folder” in the Go menu. Type in ~/Library/Caches select enter to proceed to this folder. Open each folder, delete everything, Note: Deleting contents NOT the folders. Repeat: open a Finder window, select “Go to Folder” in the Go menu. Type in /Library/Caches select enter to proceed to this folder. Select Shut Down from Apple menu . Restart MAC, login, make sure KIS is active Retest iTunes If the issue persists, please collect data using KL Logs Gather tool for Mac OS and upload to INC000010850829, along with the data and images you've collected (here). Hello, I use KTS 20.0.14.1085(d) (database 2 Oct. 2019) on MS Windows 8.1 x64 Pro EN. Today when OS booted, as usual, KTS started and completed quick scan, vulnerability scan and rootkit scan. Pop-up message window of KTS stated that there were detected objects by Quick Scan of which all of them are neutralized. Also Vulnerability Scan pop-up stated there were detected objects. However when I perform the following monitoring actions, I can not see any entries, no so called detected and processed/neutralized objects are listed: 1- Detailed Reports window, Quick Scan entry shows "Objects detected: 7, neutralized: 7, not disinfected: 0". 1a- Neither viewing via event details (All Events) of latest Quick Scan entry nor exporting this entry's entities, did not show/display any list of detected or processed files, filenames or lists. Neither of these approaches succeded in displaying list of detected/processed files. MainScreen*MoreTools*Reports*DetailedReports MainScreen*MoreTools*Reports*Neutralized(entry): Strangely this shows 3 objects as Neutralized. MainScreen*Details*RecommendationsSection: No evidence of detection is displayed in Recommendations area or other areas of Notification Center window. 2- Detailed Reports window, Vulnerablity Scan entry shows "Objects detected: 16, neutralized: 8, not disinfected: 0". 2a- Here the 8 unprocessed objects are non up-to-date installations of software/programs which Vulnerability Scan always warns me, but I prevent it to process or update them. No problem here. 2b- The reason of my post happened minutes ago today, last night I updated Windows and it updated Adobe Flash componet. Here you go... Thanks for the reply. I ran into a problem very quickly. I don''t have reports under more tools. I do have a reports button on the front page, along with Scan, Database Update and On-Screen Keyboard.

Hello squbbles, The Kaspersky escalation team have just advised the issue has been escalated to the Kaspersky developers as a bug. This is a much better status than "suggestion" as it shows Kaspersky have realised, children having access to Quick Access, allows them to disable critical KSK functions, the ramifications being, children may be in a dangerous or precarious situation(s) and cannot be located. No eta atm, but a good result - thank you again squbbles:clap_tone3:

Hello kenfromcanada, Thanks for posting back. Why have you chosen Don't Ask and Always Switch? My image may have mislead you, sorry, I showed the options for you to chose the setting you wished to have, as I don't know if you do or don't wish to use Tablet Mode "ever". If you never wish to use Tablet Mode, the settings should be: Tablet Mode OFF Don't ask & don't switch. Regarding the processes, it's important to verify the starting location of any process being queried. Diagnostics Tracking or DiagTracK (Windows) service, runs automatically, sends data to Microsoft. I disable DiagTracK, (imo) MS have more than enough (of my) data. SettingSyncHost.exe, must be C:\Windows\System32, Windows core system file, synchronises system settings, between devices WirelessKB850NotificationService.exe - must be C:\Windows\System32, MS Mouse & Keyboard software. Must be signed by MS. Regarding OneSyncSvc_5ff70 - Sync Host_5ff70, please post an image of this, including Properties. Thank you.

Full file name, full path, full location, detection verdict. Post screenshot of Reports > Detailed reports > Detected objects. Main Kaspersky window > More Tools > Reports > upper right > Detailed reports > at the upper left, drop down from All Events to Detected objects. Doing it again , Calculating the time remaining to do a quick scan waiting for over a hour now to start.

Quick scan seems to be working now , once launched it takes a few mins to start working, never did that before.

Kaspersky Internet Security Won't Scan a Quick Scan or Full Scan.

Kaspersky Internet Security wont scan a full scan or quick scan. Uninstalled and reinstalled same thing , not working. Running windows 8.1 KIS version 20.0.14.1085 (d)

Hi Flood. Thanks for the quick reply. Yes its an active process as its waiting for connection. I was using it to stop getting up and down between our pc's lol and yes I can close it down. Its not a requirement. But it lead me to wonder if I can exclude the app or others from the application monitoring as it seemed to count to time usage limits? Free version... but trying out the trial for full version. I will grab that report. I am a Citrix SME so shouldnt be too hard haha

Sorry for a late reply. I had to be somewhere this morning. The Secure keyboard works and I tested the Print Screen feature and that works as well but.......... in my opinion this not really safe. I did read something about virtualization and if this is enabled in the BIOS and it is, you can see the possibility to block this in the safe money configuration and I don't.

I gave device for keyboard repair but they used for some other purpose , they tuned off security cloud & i found chrome logged out and all browser settings changed, is there some software to trace what they did with the device by kaspersky or some other vendor? Is it possible to detect if someone has replaced original device parts with duplicate old hardware parts of the device or installed spyware on the device? Most shops here deny to repair in front of customer.

Hello arleetel, You're very welcome! (3) For screen images I use Print Screen (4) I'm referring to 2020 too. I run all my Kaspersky products at Maximum security level. (5) OSKB, the bright green highlight I added (to focus attention - sorry:disappointed_relieved: if you think that's a Kaspersky "feature"). (5 again) OSKB, if you have an open INC with the Lab and you've verified the tiny keyboard icon is missing, let them know and ask them why it's not working? (5 again, again) Even tho the tiny keyboard icon is missing, the OSKB does work for me, so again, if that's not working for you, you must let the Lab know. Hello Flood, (3) I cannot use the snipping tool using safe money, that was and is normal I suppose, for safety. I think this is normal. (4)Same thing here but on for KIS 2019 and all other versions before. I'm talking about KIS 2020 that I just downloaded and installed today. Do I miss something here on the settings ? (5)Yes, the icon is the keyboard and when I have the login screen of the bank nothing is highlighted like in your image. I mentioned that to support a long time ago, it's still an open request, they told me that it will be resolved with the new 2020 version, but it's still not. Mind you using the on screen keyboard became a habit and is still safer for banking sites only. Thank you for helping.

Hello, Thank you for your reply. 1. The secure keyboard opens 2. If I click on secure keyboard : the secure keyboard opens 3. Images : not possible to take screenshots when safe money is enabled 4. with version KIS 2019 it was possible to configure google chrome with protected browser that did not change any configuration in the normal browser, for example : the extensions. If I disable them in the protected browser they will be disabled in the normal browser as well. that’s what basically is mentioned in the what’s new link : “Safe Money has been improved: Protected Browser has been improved. Most of settings from user's profile in the main browser are now automatically transferred to Protected Browser when Protected Browser is opened.” In my opinion it’s not an improvement, regarding the extensions and some other settings. Although the word "most" caught my attention ! I include an image but not in safe browsing of what I mean by extensions. In the past it was only the KIS icon that was displayed in safe browser. Now : by the secure keyboard input I mean the icon that is displayed when filling in credentials that showed up in previous 2019 versions, is disabled for a while and, according to support, should work in the 2020 version, but still does not.

Regarding extensions - Safe Money - what's new KIS Secure Keyboard 2020, please tell us: if you select KIS Secure Keyboard from the Safe Money application, (see my image 1), what happens? When SafeMoney Google Chrome browser is opened, and KIS Secure Keyboard is selected, (see my image 2) what happens? Can you show us images please? Safe browser Chrome indicated that all extensions are still enabled, not just the KIS extension, this was not the case with the previous version 2019. I really wonder if it's safe to have those extensions enabled (chromebleed, malwarebytes and ublock) when using banksites. Separate configuration is not possible any more, it worked with KIS 2019. And the secure keyboard is still not working ! Same thing Windows 7 and windows 10(1903.18362.356).

Hello. I have a quick question regarding the activation keys for KIS 2020. I upgraded the software a while ago and it still runs fine with the old 2019 license. So as my current license is running out, i am wondering when buying a new one, can I use another 2019 license and extend it like that or do I have to buy the 2020 version now?

I had a quick look at the PM, there's a lot there, it will take me a while to go through. To address the Windows accounts. There should be a parent account = you, the parent account has higher privileges. You son must only have a standard account. Can you screen print the accounts, upload to cloud & PM the link please? Please don't post the account images to your post. Regarding your son exceeding the device Time of Use for 3.5 hours, I do not doubt the information. The answer may be in the "notifications", if I find it I will certainly tell you. Just to really test the solution, please ask your son to do everything he can to override KSK, (apart from accessing the computer under your profile:wink:) I know you'll let me know if he finds a way. Is it possible using KSK 1.24.0.1566 to disable the quick access drop down menu on Android 7 device? I have disabled access to settings app on the phone, but quick access is still accessible. This makes GPS location feature useless since my son just turns off location services. Thanks in advance.
