How do I restore/reinstall the Kaspersky Protection Extension on Edge Chromium?
Huskey_17 replied to Forgemaster's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
This worked, Thank you all so much for the help and the quick replies. Thanks a lot? -
I’ve just been ‘upgraded’ to KIS 21.2.16.590 (b), and found that some of the scroll bars don’t work properly. E.g. on the main Settings screen, if I click below the scroll box, it should page down, but nothing happens. To scroll down, I either have to drag the scroll bar (which is much more awkward with a touchpad) or use the keyboard. This is very annoying.

[mobile] No In App Link protection - chrome is set as standard [moved]
RobertNL replied to MaxPayne9101's topic in Für Privatanwender
Hello @RobertNL, Welcome! To test, we installed DuckDuckGo on three Androids, with different OS versions: 4.4, 7 & 10, there is no conflict, KIS installs correctly, In App Link protection works as per design. Note: DuckDuckGo is not supported by Kaspersky; if you choose to use it, it will not be monitored & or managed by the installed KIS application. Thank you🙏 Flood🐳+🐋 Thanks for your quick testing/response! 🙂 I just did another check. I have KIS up and running without issues. I install DuckDuckGo and at first start it requests to select which browser to mark as default browser. Here I select Chrome. When I open KIS and refresh it (swipe down), it shows the issue again. Once I uninstall DuckDuckGo and refresh KIS the issue is gone/solved. Same check with Firefox browser, no request to set default browser here but KIS shows issue here too. Uninstall Firefox and issue is gone. Must be some obscure setting that makes the difference on my Note10 running Android 11. For now happy that security works, if I ever manage to figure out what setting causes the issue, I'll post it here. Kind regards from the Netherlands. -
It continues blocking my email provider, and I can't unlock it. Problem with certificate.
Barabba replied to Barabba's topic in Kaspersky Anti-Virus
I?ve rebooted PC, let’s see if something changed. There are also other accounts, with them I don’t have problems. Another bug, I’ve experienced big delays on writing to Facebook, I?m using Firefox, I typed and text lagged about 3-5 seconds, cpu with high too. I solved it uninstalling and reinstalling Kaspersky, but this time I’ve removed all controls of keyboard -
Block access to a website without using the Safe Kids extension?
Flood and Flood's wife replied to Oka's topic in Kaspersky Total Security
Hello @Oka, Thank you for your quick reply👌 There’s no Kaspersky Safe Kids (KSK) “extension” as such, there’s the Kaspersky Safe Kids application. To use the features of KSK, the application must be installed on the child’s device & on the parents device. We always suggest installing the KSK Premium Trial version & fully testing before investing. If you’re using Windows 10, it has Family Options, Parental control, we’re unable to discuss this product, apart from this little mention: Thank you🙏 Flood🐳 +🐋 Resources: Kaspersky Safe Kids overview How to set up Kaspersky Safe Kids -

Something wrong with Total Antivirus, avpui.exe and that it had a hard fault. Resolved by re installing.
acdoob replied to acdoob's topic in Kaspersky Total Security
Hello, I had an issue that was fixed with reinstalling Total Security. Basically, I had a remote connection open by itself (the service was on), and the windows diagnostic service was set to disabled. Every time I shut down the computer it said there was an application preventing the computer from shutting down and it turned out once I had re-enabled the diagnostic service, it was Total Security. Basically it said it was avpui.exe and that it had a hard fault. Recently I would have this issue as well where all of my USB devices (keyboard, mouse, external ssd) would turn off all at the same time. Was my antivirus infected, or compromised? I reinstalled Kaspersky, disabled the remote connection service (I tested it by setting it to automatic after reinstalling and it didn’t turn on like it would before) and so far the USB devices have stopped turning off. Also the program seems to be working fine now. No error at shut down, Game mode is also turning on now, which it wasn’t before and scans are now taking about 10 minutes longer almost like it previously wasn’t actually scanning. Is this something to be concerned about, or should I just consider it resolved? -
KES Licence agreement violated?
Kavuser10 replied to drio383's topic in Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business
Even though we do use fully on premise management we faced the same or similar issue when deploying the KSC Network Agent v13. Pretty much all our endpoints were deactivated and the only solution was to manually activate them again with an activation code. What’s worse, it rendered all our remote management access useless so we had to mobilize the whole IT team to drive everywhere on location to do this by hand. What a huge failure on Kaspersky’s part. I totally regret not part-taking on the beta testing on the last version but their communication about beta testing is just so invisible and lousy so I completely missed it. And what’s even worse, is that their support took almost three full days to even respond to us. Something has really gone amiss with their support as it used to be very quick and pretty good before. I have also noticed that they have also mostly negated this community and rarely reply here anymore too, and instead spend their time posting memes on Facebook. Does not look good at all. -

Two issues since upgrading to KIS 21.3.10.391 (b): can't detect Eicar, Chrome browsing lag.
Skynet replied to Skynet's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
Ok thanks, I’ll log an incident. But to be honest the problems it is causing with browsing is getting pretty annoying now, so unless they can offer a quick solution I think I might have to uninstall KIS and move to an alternative product, as it is making it very hard to use my machine reliably. -
Kaspersky Total Security - Mouse & Keyboard problem, built in mouse & keyboard are no more working.
Matze_K replied to Matze_K's topic in Kaspersky Total Security
Hi all, I’m currently facing the following problem: I installed Kaspersky Total Security 2021 on my Windows 10 Pro 20H2 19042.685 (Lenovo Yoga 2 13). Since the installation, the built in mouse & keyboard are no more working. Uninstalled Kaspersky with the removal tool has not fixed the problem! External keyboards/mouses are working without a problem ….. Anyone knows how to fix such a problem -
Since April 17 update my KIS 21.2.16.590(c) are no longer starting automatic scan verfications;
Psiu47 replied to Psiu47's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
After couple days struggling as usual to convice the suport in my region to understand this issue have been clearly identified in my experience as unknown conflict due to Kaspersky Internet Security 21.3.10.391(a) being released too soon after Kaspersky Internet Security 21.2.16.590(c) showed problematic behaviors as such I have listed on my other discussion. On the 8th conversation they were very much unreasonable to tell me to uninstall and install back KIS. Anyway I’ve been there, done everything I know mostly common that could be done and background scan like rootkit scan still act weird. Like yesterday the verification scan didn’t start at all even I did wait untill 23:43 when a day before the scan was finished at 22:12. But today when I turned on the computer at 19:01 and waited 30 minutes after, the rootkit scan start regularly. And the most surprisily thing is that the scan timelapse took less than 10 minutes like used to be to a count of 1.7k-1.8k files and since Kaspersky Internet Security 21.3.10.391(a) have been released I noticed rootkit scan have been taking aprox. +18-20 minutes to do the procedure. It has been slower and to compare with another machine I have home with basic protection of Kaspersky antivirus program. The background scan time lapse have been as well taking 20 minutes to do what used to be a quick scan that would take 8-11 minutes. So could someone be kind to lead a stronger direction to inform about this problem and let the company know about this annoying problem? -
Adding program to exclusion list
alexcad replied to a topic in Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business
You need Advanced-license to use “application launch control” https://support.kaspersky.com/12784 You can use “trusted zone” in the policy to exclude files/applications from scanning. Again: please refer (Milan’s post) https://community.kaspersky.com/kaspersky-corporate-products-27/application-exception-moved-11240?postid=53626#post53626 Regards Alex -
Kasperspy Security Center Windows 10 Deployment Key - Planning question
Nebulus replied to Nebulus's topic in Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business
Hi, We’ve been using KSC (now ver. 13) for some time and would like to use it to deploy Windows 10 PCs Now before going any further, I read a document from Kaspersky (Quick Start Guide https://media.kaspersky.com/en/business-security/eval/KasperskyLabQuickStartGuide-SystemsImagingGuide.pdf) The initial question I’m asking myself, as we use standard PCs with OEM Windows 10 Pro on it (so all have their own license), if we create a standard image and sysprep it, can we deploy it without giving a W10 Lic. key so that it uses the key from the PC ? When we install a clean Windows on an older PC it takes its key, so wondering if a deployed image would do the same (didn’t find any hint on that) Sorry if that question might seem simple, but the licensing thing seems a bit tricky to me Thanks for any tip on that -
Manual task detected as Trojan.Multi.Gen.Autorun.Task.c

Hi @Flood and Flood's wife , Thanks for the quick response. I am using Windows 10 Pro Latest version and KIS and KPM latest version as well. My main concern is merging/integrating KPM to the KIS application so we won’t need to install KPM as a separate. Since KPM is free for first 15 entry, i think it can be merged to KIS as well, not just KTS. :) Thank you,

Since April 17 update my KIS 21.2.16.590(c) are no longer starting automatic scan verfications;
Psiu47 replied to Psiu47's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
I don’t get why the article that should inform what issues were fixed to actual data bank KIS version if on the adress you added they are not listing what issues were. I did erase the actual user settings and changed back to what they were. But by tonight I won’t be doing rootkit scan because last night completed on 23:54. Almost near midnight which in my experience since KIS 20.0 doing rootkit scans between a change of a day to another would cause another rootkit scan to start again. But of course I haven’t seen this behavior happening since KIS 21.2 but the software application was not showing any problem at all. Is just KIS 21.3 that is bugging or making inoperational rootkit scan or any other verification that run on background. But I can’t test to full and quick scan since I always run them with the interface on screen and I never minimze or close the window because back on KIS 20.0 the progress get stuck and quickly fill fast the progression bar. Some sort of slowness in the refresh rate when scan verifications are minimzed with antivirus window minimzed on taskbar. Anyhow about the description to add my report information. How do I that in here? -

By year. Yesterday during a full scan I noticed the alert and on the fly allowed it as a trusted one, but it disappeared under my eyes. Now I’m reviewing all the scan log and… WHERE THE HELL IT IS NOW??? What means “blocked”, being it not in the quarantine? HOW CAN I RECOVER IT??? This is absolutely insane, cannot allow this. Hoping for replies to both my questions, I cannot rely on such a situation: I MUST be asked if something is “not-a-virus” -
Background Scan hanging up at 1% in Windows 10
Golomar replied to Golomar's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
Hello: Following Berny’s advice above [enable both iChecker and iSwift] I still have the same problem of the Background Scan utility not running to completion. The latest scan came back with only 30% of the Background Scan being completed: Latest Background scan shows only 30% of scan was automatically completed and no further scans were done in the last 2 days. I remember in an earlier version of KIS that a Background scan could be run manually. I can run Quick, Full, and Vulnerability scans manually so why not return to letting users run a Background scan manually just like in the past? My computer does not noticeably slow down when any of these scans are being run and I like to run them manually or at least have the option of running the Background scan manually. Anyone else having incomplete Background scans on their Windows 10 Home Edition machine? -

Kaspersky reports are not working.
User303 replied to User303's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
So I have recently installed Kaspersky internet security on my computer, after the install it detected some trojan (nyss.exe, process1.exe) and asked to disinfect and reboot. which I did, now when I want to view reports it just hangs at the report windows with some overlapping UI elements, I tried everything cleanup disk defrag troubleshooting etc. , quick scan hasn’t detected anything and full scan would apparently take 20+ hours, which I don’t have, I even cleared the reports then at-least the report window didn’t freeze, but as soon as I got one log(update log) opening that tab immediately freezes the window, I don’t know what to do now. And some weird things also happened recently Kaspersky trying to update and then randomly showing databases have not been updated for a long time, even though it does it regularly, scans getting stuck at 1% and not showing remaining time. I don’t want to format my HDD and its a busy machine so I can’t afford the hassle, Please help me. OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 (Version 20H2 build 19042) Kaspersky Internet Security( Version 21.3.10.391 a) Computer: Dell Inspiron 3541 4GB Ram, 500 gigs hard drive. -

Background Scan hanging up at 1% in Windows 10
Golomar replied to Golomar's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
Hello Berny: I read the link information you sent and changed my Quick Scan advanced settings to enable both iChecker and iSwift (only iChecker was active by default). I will try this suggestion and see if that helps my Background Scan activate itself automatically and goes to completion. Merci beaucoup. Golomar
