Agreed, there's multiple topics & or replies created by parents, since the release of patch(g); however, Kaspersky @Anton Mefodys has requested, please: Collect traces of the issue in KSK Enable tracing, follow: How to get trace files for Kaspersky Safe Kids for Windows, Reboot OR restart KSK (Exit KSK and then launch it again). Open MyKaspersky and change time limit settings ( for instance shift the limit) Wait for 15 min Make sure that these new settings were not applied by KSK (no notifications appear) Exit KSK Copy traces from "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Safe Kids (product version)\Logs" folder to another folder (for instance to the new folder on Desktop) Disable tracing in KSK. [ Laptop touchpad ] Kaspersky virtual keyboard, the cursor cannot be seen when I move on to it.

when I try to use Kaspersky virtual keyboard the cursor cannot be seen when I move on to it. uninstalled Kaspersky rebooted and downloaded again from my Kaspersky but just the same. Have run full scan to no avail This is on a new HP Laptop running Windows 10 -

Time limits do not work since friday or so on Windows PC

Time limits do not work since friday or so on Windows PC

Hi, I’ve had Safe Kids Installed since July 2020 and it’s been ok up to now. I have some daily time limits set up for my son’s computer but they stopped working. When my son checks how much time he’s got left by clicking on the Safe Kids icon in the tray, it says that he has no limit at all for the whole day. He can also launch applications I blocked. Changing the limits or blocking/unblocking apps has no effect at all. I have a Total Security 2020 Suite, it’s not a free or trial version, the licence is valid. Anti-virus runs ok. I tried the following: 1. I restored default IE settings 2. I Restored Network settings to defaults 3. I tried to create a new Kid account in Safe Kids but when I tried to log in/connect it with the user account on windows it said that Kaspersky Safe Kids is “Unable to connect to the server”. 4. I switched to different internet connection - I connected to the hot spot created on mobile phone but it did not change anything. 5. I uninstalled Safe Kids and reinstalled, it helped but only until the computer got restarted. By the way, I do receive alerts that my son’s visiting some websites that are not allowed. My son’s computer is running Windows 10, version 2004 Safe Kids Version is 1.0.5.6821(g) Total Security Version is 20.0.14.1085 (m) Son's computer got some windows updates on Friday: Cumulative Security Update KB4601319 and .NET 3.5/4.5 update KB4601050 -
I just tried the second option tech support gave me...it was not hard...will see if this works over next few weeks. #2: 1. Open Windows Registry Editor (Win + R > type Regedit > press Enter) and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class 2. Right-click the Class folder and click Find... 3. Type in klkbdflt and hit Enter. (copy and paste) 4. Windows Registry Editor will take you to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e96b-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} wherein you will be needing to check what's inside the UpperFilters record. 5. If there are two values like klkbdflt and kbdclass, you will have to remove klkbdflt and leave only kbdclass and also ensure that there are no spaces left. 6. Afterwards, to apply changes click OK and proceed to system restart. 7. Keyboard should get back to normal.

@Anton Mefodys i can confirm this also. In my case i must unplug keyboard connector (USB) from PC and then insert back…. Now works… This needs FIX!

SaLaDin, Yes...tech support gave me a whole procedure to try and fix this that would be very difficult and probably not work. When my keyboard goes out, I turn Kaspersky off and turn it right back on. My hope is that a future update fixes this. This happens about once a week at random times.

Hi, I have the same problem and it always starts when using my online-banking. My keyboard is totally disabled and can only be activated after removing the battery. Is there any way to stop this, because doing online-banking without anti-virus is really a no-go for me! Thank you for your help! Greetings! -

I recently installed Kaspersky yesterday on the 12th to try it out. Later that day, my laptop begins to lag and frequently disconnects from our Wi-Fi network. This has ever happened prior to installing Kaspersky. So, I decided that the extra security is not worth it if my laptop becomes unusable. I tried to uninstall it but it got stuck at the start of phase 2 of the uninstallation where it says it needs to disable or remove some utilities (or something). I left if loading for about an hour but it still did not budge. So, I thought that I need to restart the uninstallation process and cancelled the wizard. It prompted me that it will corrupt the program but I thought of it as irrelevant since I am uninstalling it anyway and that one hour of waiting and no progress seems fishy. Then, when I tried again, a message window appeared saying that “This action is only valid for products that are currently installed” and now I can’t uninstall it. This is the dreaded message promptOf course, I wont be posting here if I already found the solution for this problem. I’ve checked all of the relevant forums and videos that I can find. I am aware that there is a post here on this website about the same prompt message but the forum concluded without the solution being given to this problem. I also tried using Revo-uninstaller to uninstall and force uninstall the application but it still prompts the same message. I contacted the Facebook and twitter page of Kaspersky but there is no reply. I tried going the control panel and ‘repair’ the application but it still prompts the same message. I even reinstalled the application and uninstall it but it still got stuck on the same phase 2 removing utilities and this time I even left it running with no other applications open for about 3 hours. The Kaspersky VPN uninstalls properly. But Kaspersky is still installed on my laptop. It’s still hereI now have two Kaspersky Security Cloud on my program files. But the uninstallation wizard won’t launch. Also, I already uninstalled Malwarebytes prior to installing Kaspersky, so I don’t think that this bug is because of Malwarebytes. Please, I just want someone to help me and give me answers. There are no solution or videos available online, so my best bet is to try here. I am thinking of using the Kaspersky Removal tool but I don’t want to brick my device because I need it for school work and that the website specifically states that I need to consult with a Kaspersky technical support engineer. Please, help me. -

Опция "Open On-Screen Keyboard by typing CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+P" в настройках отключена, но применить этот шорткат в других программах невозможно: он в них не срабатывает. Если выгрузить Касперского, то шорткат начинает работать. Можно ли как-то снять блокировку Касперским этого шортката, чтобы его можно было использовать в других программах? Slow on-demand scan because of low core/thread usage

In Kaspersky, the 1st scan will always take longer, but not the successive ones… I never run Full Scans in my drives, personally think it's a waste of time and resources, so I only run Quick Scans (adding some custom system folders, where malware usually attacks). A small trick for Full Scan settings in Kaspersky: -

Thank you very much for your quick answer, truly appreciated. I think such important piece of information should be clearly displayed in the purchase page to alert customers, the purchase page just showing windows logo. I am happy with my current operating system and not willing to change it so now I will have to look for another service provider that supports windows 7. -
Cannot find context menu nor create shortcut for Safe Money

In previous versions of KIS there was an item in the context menu from the icon in the system tray to allow launching Safe Money manually. Now, with version 21.2.16.590(b), there seem to be only about half of the number of items on that context menu from the icon in the system tray (now only a total of 6), which doesn’t include the item to launch Safe Money manually. There was also apparently a feature to add a shortcut to the desktop. https://support.kaspersky.com/KIS/2019/en-US/68178.htm LinkI have tried following those steps, and there is indeed a ‘link’ in the Safe Money section of the Settings that claims it will add a Safe Money shortcut to the Desktop. “Create shortcut for Safe Money” I have clicked it thrice, and it claimed each time that the shortcut had been successfully created…. “Desktop shortcut created“ Yet there is still no shortcut for Safe Money on the Desktop! -
KTS 2021 Schedule Full Scan, option for every 15 days?

I am using KTS 2021 and there is option for weekly full scan and monthly full scan, why Kaspersky is not giving an option for full scan once in 15 days. Now I scheduled the scan as follows, Quick scan - Daily Full scan - weekly I am not installing anything new for long time, only win10 updates is installing but the KTS taking 10 hours to complete full scan which is affecting my workspeed too. -

Hi @GalaxyAWAC , great news! 45min-1hr to “break the 1% silence” is okay. The product runs two streams as soon as you launch the scan: 1. calculates the total number of files in order to estimate the possible duration of the scan and show the correct % completion. 2. checks the files for viruses. Another good news is that first scan usually takes longer than subsequent scans, as the product uses iChecker/iSwift technologies to shorten the scan times. To put it simply, these technologies are there to shorten the scan time by skipping the objects that were not changed since the last scan.
