We have created a tool to restore the attachment extentions. Important: it is a must to create a backup of all the emails before using the tool! Please note: the tool works with the following folders: "Inbox", "Sent Items", "Deleted Items", "Outbox", "Drafts". So if there is a folder created next to Inbox (not inside Inbox) it will not be processed, and it is necessary to place the required email\folder with emails to Inbox and perform the instruction above once again. 1. Make a backup of all emails in Outlook: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/back-up-your-email-e5845b0b-1aeb-424f-924c-aa1c33b18833 2. Hello @Anya, Welcome back! Yes, there’ve been other reports of a similar issue. Please clarify, which Kaspersky software (full name), version & patch(x) is installed, on the Windows Taskbar, rightclick the Kaspersky icon, select About ? If the software is KSC Free, the functions available for the Kaspersky protection extension are limited to the Kaspersky Onscreen virtual keyboard, disabling the Kaspersky Protection extension would not impact browser security. Your topic is in Kaspersky Security Cloud section, but you’ve added a Kaspersky Internet Security tag… 🤔 Please post back? Thank you🙏 Flood🐳 +🐋 Kaspersky Security Cloud package comparison

@Flood and Flood's wife, Hi again, Backup report, the advice from authorized company came up successful. They told to uninstall the old application to terminate it and to re-install a new one. And yes, it worked. Thank God and thank to you for quick response. I hope, this report could help people with same case as mine in the future. ☺☺ Yau

Thanks Flood Browser support is a minor issue for me as most of my browser sessions take place inside a Sandbox and download are verified via VirusTotal (I understand that’s not a guarantee, which is where KSC becomes a backstop - safe hex - so far it found nothing). The solution went quick and easy. Summarizing the position now. I started with neither suggestion above but picked on MBAM. When uninstalled and leftover traces were removed I shut down and restarted. KSC has not made a peep since. Bearing in mind I always switch off MBAM service as unwanted and check it is off after use and that I had checked before telling you that above, interference by MBAM is a mystery. On the bright side, I can say Malwarebytes Firewall Control and Kaspersky Security Cloud do seem to be coexisting happily. If that changes, I will update. The curious tinkerer inside me will probably want to install MBAM again (after clean removals and installations, as above) the the aim of triple-checking everything related to MBAM was switched off. Not immediately. I did download installation files before uninstalling and they are beckoning, “you know you want to do it”🤔

I think that this problem is the same issue solved temporarily with keyboard class upper filter solution made for business products (BAD USB settings on endpoint protection). Can you (staff) check this? KIS 21.2.16.590b on Win10 20H2 x64

Hello @Vali2121, Welcome! Does 21.2.16.590 have a patch(x) x = letter → on the Windows Taskbar, rightclick the Kaspersky icon, select About? The latest Edge Chromium version is 88.0.705.56 (Official build) (64-bit), have you checked Edge Chromium for updates? Please check the Kaspersky Protection extension version? When you're using Edge Chromium, any specific sites, where the Keyboard input is not working → may we have a few site names/links to test? Do all Windows updates have a Successfully applied status → in Windows Search bar type View up → select View Update history? Is Anti-banner & Private browsing enabled on the sites when the “Kaspersky disabling the keyboard input” is happening? If “Inject script into web traffic to interact with web pages” is switched OFF, does the Keyboard input problem persist? If “Do not scan encrypted connections”, is switched ON, does the Keyboard input problem persist? Does the Keyboard input problem persist if Windows or Kaspersky virtual keyboards are used? Please let us know? Thank you🙏 Flood🐳 +🐋

I’m not sure when and how exactly it is happening but the Kaspersky disabling the keyboard input on EDGE (which I mostly work with). Hi everyone, just need a little assistance with configuring the network packet rules as trying to fine tune them to be a little more locked down and secure. In Network Packet Rules, i’ve got Allows at the top and then Deny underneath them, so anything not explicitly allowed will be blocked off. I’ve set a rule up to allow RDP for Trusted Networks with Inbound connections on Port 3389 being allowed for a particular machine, at the bottom of the list i’ve got a rule that blocks inbound port 3389 from any address. This doesn’t work though, i can rdp from both Trusted Networks and non-Trusted Networks. I’ve also setup an allow for incoming ICMP stream coming from Trusted Networks and then Blocks Incoming ICMP stream from any address at the bottom. This works absolutely fine, so i can ping the machine from a trusted network and ping responses fail from non-trusted networks. Once i get these working and tested, i’m going to remove the explicit blocks and just put a block everything at the bottom so all traffic not specifically allow from any network is blocked, i can’t do that though when i’m not understanding why the Allow/Block with the RDP is acting differently than the Allow/Block with the incoming ICMP stream when the settings all appear to be the same. edit: Just as a quick test, i put in a Block for everything from any address and it seemed to do that, ignoring all of the explicit allows so had to kill off Kaspersky on the machine to reconnect to it. Hello @shwalsh64, Thank you for posting back with the information🙏 Which KIS version & patch(x) x=letter, is installed please? → on the Windows taskbar, rightclick the Kaspersky icon, select About ? To take a screen print, open the window/app to be captured, press the PrtScr key (normally top right of the Keyboard), open Paint, select Paste, Save the file, attach to your reply, using the Paperclip icon 📎 , however, when SafeMoney/Protected browser is running, screen prints cannot be taken, it’s a security measure implemented by Kaspersky to protect any financial information that may show, so you need to take an image with another device, a mobile phone for example, we’ve taken an image and cannot see “badge value(x) has access to this site” Please post back? Thank you🙏 Flood🐳 +🐋

Thank you for your quick response. You’r right, Kaspersky does offer the solution… but (why ever) not “all” browsers do :D

In previous versions of KIS there was an item in the context menu from the icon in the system tray to allow launching Safe Money manually. Now, with version 21.2.16.590(b), there seem to be only about half of the number of items on that context menu from the icon in the system tray (now only a total of 6), which doesn’t include the item to launch Safe Money manually. There was also apparently a feature to add a shortcut to the desktop. https://support.kaspersky.com/KIS/2019/en-US/68178.htm LinkI have tried following those steps, and there is indeed a ‘link’ in the Safe Money section of the Settings that claims it will add a Safe Money shortcut to the Desktop. “Create shortcut for Safe Money” I have clicked it thrice, and it claimed each time that the shortcut had been successfully created…. “Desktop shortcut created“ Yet there is still no shortcut for Safe Money on the Desktop!

I did a full scan on kaspersky and left it overnight. The next morning i checked and it’s still stuck at 1% but it says that around 850 000+ files have been scanned, and that number is constantly increasing. Is there anything i can do to fix this? i doubt my pc has 850 000 files (and thats still 1%). I did a quick scan and it scanned 3710 files and ended relatively quickly taking around 10minutes.

I’ve just been ‘upgraded’ to KIS 21.2.16.590 (b), and found that some of the scroll bars don’t work properly. E.g. on the main Settings screen, if I click below the scroll box, it should page down, but nothing happens. To scroll down, I either have to drag the scroll bar (which is much more awkward with a touchpad) or use the keyboard. This is very annoying.

Hello! On the older releases of Kaspersky Total Security, if you were to right click on the ‘shield’ icon down in the taskbar, there was a option to ‘Run Update’ or wording close to that. Clicking on that option within the context menu brought you directly to the Database Update page and started to download the latest databases. I used this feature a lot but this has since been removed as of updating to Kaspersky Total Security version 21.2.16.590 (b) Was this removal intentional or could it be reativated/reinstated? I liked the quick and easy access to the Database Update page. The context menu with Kaspersky Total Security 21.2.16.590 (b)The context menu with a older version of Kaspersky Total Security, prior to release version 21.2.16.590 (b) This image is not mine, I found this one online using Google as I did not have any screenshots of the context menu prior to the changes.

Hi @GalaxyAWAC , great news! 45min-1hr to “break the 1% silence” is okay. The product runs two streams as soon as you launch the scan: 1. calculates the total number of files in order to estimate the possible duration of the scan and show the correct % completion. 2. checks the files for viruses. Another good news is that first scan usually takes longer than subsequent scans, as the product uses iChecker/iSwift technologies to shorten the scan times. To put it simply, these technologies are there to shorten the scan time by skipping the objects that were not changed since the last scan. The algorythm is more sofisticated, you can read more here: https://support.kaspersky.com/12574#block3 Regards, Igor

Hello @RouseA, Welcome again! Kaspersky Total Security license, installs Kaspersky Internet Security software on Android. Supported browsers - Internet Protection only checks websites in Google Chrome.Internet Protection may also work with pre-installed browsers of some devices, for example Samsung Internet on a Samsung device. Other browsers are not supported. If you do not wish to change your default browser, launch Google Chrome separately to safely use your personal data on the Internet. You can start Google Chrome from Kaspersky Internet Security quick launch panel by tapping Internet Protection > Open browser or by tapping the Chrome app in your device's app menu.Thank you🙏 Flood🐳 +🐋

I recently installed Kaspersky Security Cloud and both the Quick and Full scan options do not progress beyond 1% when selected. When I tried a Selective Scan, it scanned files but it still remained at 1%. I have un-installed and re-installed multiple times and restarted my laptop twice but with the same results. Do I have a really bad virus is my laptop out of date? Do I have some corrupted files (which is most likely since a handful prevented me from resetting my computer)? Any answers or advice is welcome.

Hello @JR69, @Anton Mefodys, was a bit to quick for us😅 Also, with web.whatsapp.com, we can replicate ½ the issue, images work fine, sound, no go, however, sound also does not work, when the test is done using the parent profile, additionally, the same results when whatsapp is installed as an application on the laptop. To log the case, follow the Application malfunction, Other template After submitting the case, you’ll receive an automated email with an INC+12digits reference number, then, normally, within 5 business days, a Kaspersky Technical Support human will be in touch, also by email, you may continue to engage with the Kaspersky Technical Team via email or by updating the INC in your MyKaspersky account.▶ Please share the outcome with the Community when it’s available? Thank you🙏 Flood🐳+🐋
