Quick assist en MS office wordt blijkbaar (volgens Microsoft support) geblokkeerd door Kaspersky. Hoe kan ik dit aanpassen?
-
Hello, Since two days ago I have seen that I can not start up the Battle.net application when Kaspersky is enabled. This has happened to other programs before, so I would usually add Battle.net to "Specify Trusted Applications" but this is where the second part of the issue happens. When I add the Battle.net launcher to the list, my Kaspersky would immediately crash. I have sent in a crash report when it happened, but I doubt that would help me with my immediate issue. I have run Windows update, Networking driver check and Kaspersky update but none have seemed to help. Could you please advise on what I can do to mitigate either part of this issue? Thank you.

How to use FDE Precheck utility [KES for Windows]
Egor Erastov posted a blog entry in Kaspersky Endpoint Security's Kaspersky Endpoint Security
Advice and Solutions (Community Knowledgebase) Disclaimer. Read before using materials. This article is about Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows (KES for Windows) Description FDE precheck is a utility used for advanced Full Disk Encryption compatibility testing. It contains latest drivers which will be implemented in future KES releases. FDE precheck also collects diagnostic data used to fix compatibility issues. Inability to use laptop keyboard and\or touch-pad is one of the most frequently met issues. Using FDE precheck you can understand if compatibility issue was already fixed and will be included in next release or it should be addressed. You can download latest FDE precheck utility using following links: For KES 12+ - https://support.kaspersky.com/14328 System requirements Single operating system should be installed on the test machine, FDE Precheck can't properly function on a host with multiple operating systems. Use administrative account to run the utility. Read before proceeding Decrypt the test host and remove Kaspersky Endpoint Security and AES module. Do a backup of the critical data on the test machine. Follow the test sequence exactly as stated below. Do not manually stop the execution of the utility. The system will automatically restart several times, it is an expected behavior. Plug in laptop. Do not run test on battery. Failure to comply with steps above may lead to unpredictable consequences. Test sequence Make sure machine decrypted does not have KES or AES module installed not running any KL drivers has no critical data plugged in Reboot. Copy and unpack fde_precheck.zip archive. Run elevated fde_precheck.exe (either by right-clicking and choosing Run as administrator or by starting it from an elevated command prompt). If the program will not find any incompatibilities the following message box will appear: Press Yes, to initiate installation of the encryption drivers and initiation of the test. Wait for the automatic reboot, then login using the administrative user as was done earlier. Press OK on the pop-up that will appear shortly after the reboot: Press Yes in the UAC window if it will appear shortly after. Wait for several minutes (up to 10-15 minutes) until next automatic reboot will occur. Do not initiate reboot manually! It will be done automatically. Manual reboot at this stage may result in corruption of the OS. All preparations are run in background, it is normal that there will be no indication of activity on the desktop. After automatic reboot you will see the preboot agent, and it will require human presence to complete those tests. If possible, record the whole process on a camera of smartphone. You will be asked to enter random keystrokes using the keyboard and mouse. In case of successful keystroke registration you will see something like that: Just follow the instructions that will appear on the screen and press "NEXT >" when done with each test. In case FDE Precheck Preboot agent will fail booting or will freeze at some point, please take photo of the error message, or record the whole process on a camera and reboot the machine if necessary. OS will boot either way. Login using the administrative account that was used earlier. At this point drivers will be removed in the background and host will be rebooted one last time automatically. Wait for several minutes (up to 10-15 minutes) until next automatic reboot will occur. Do not initiate reboot manually! It will be done automatically. Manual reboot at this stage may result in corruption of the OS. All preparations are run in background, it is normal that there will be no indication of activity on desktop. The following three files are always created. All three files are mandatory to provide for analysis. fde_precheck_report.txt fde_precheck.log (will be located in the folder with fde_precheck.exe) Description of what have happened during tests (with screenshots and video if possible). -
REMOVE the "Secure keyboard input is enabled" popup!
MFFChef replied to BlackEdition's topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
I found Kaspersky, as well as two other previous softwares, cannot discern between a standard form field and one that needs extra care. Always sticking the prompts in a standard address field or whatever. I did find a control for this in the primary Kaspersky interface by typing "key" in the search field at the top, and selecting secure data input. You can keep the function enabled, but called upon with a keyboard shortcut only, and then disabling the prompt. You can choose types of fields you want the virtual keyboard to pop up in, but I have no faith. I have Bitwarden for my passwords and credentials, so no typing anyway. -

Hi, I am facing the above detection on some torrent sites like 1337x(.)to and yts(.)mx My windows installation is 11 latest version and Kaspersky version is 21.21.7.384(a), I am seeing that many people with Kaspersky are seeing the above detection and it seems like some common banner advertisement that might be the cause. I had downloaded a file from the same website before the detection occurred, am I at any risk? ADWCleaner, Sophos Scan&Clean and Kaspersky Quick Scan came back as clean. -

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro (version 22H2) Kaspersky Application: Kaspersky Plus Issue: Application blocked or disrupted due to false positive detection Hello, I’m experiencing issues using a legitimate application called KeyPress OSD. It’s an open-source tool that displays on-screen keyboard and mouse input, which is particularly useful for recording tutorial videos where viewers need to see which shortcuts I’m using. Unfortunately, Kaspersky Plus flags or blocks it, likely because it's built with AutoHotkey (AHK) — a scripting language that’s often wrongly identified as malicious. The tool is completely safe and widely used in educational contexts. 🔗 AutoHotkey forum thread about false positives: https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=62266 Product Description: KeyPress OSD is an On-Screen Display for key and mouse inputs. It shows key presses in large text on-screen, ideal for accessibility, streaming, or tutorials. It uses AutoHotkey as its scripting engine, which sometimes triggers antivirus alerts. What I'm looking for: How can I configure Kaspersky Plus to allow this app to run normally? Is there a recommended way to exclude a trusted AutoHotkey-based app from scans or monitoring? Should I whitelist the .EXE file, the folder, or the AutoHotkey interpreter itself? If needed, I can attach screenshots showing the detection pop-up or logs. I’m happy to follow all safety best practices, but I also need to be able to use this tool for my work without constant interruptions. Thanks in advance for your support! Best regards, Rafael -

Caos replied to minmol's topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
Hello, Additionally, you can change the language of the installed version to English within the application by pressing SHIFT + F12 on the keyboard, and if you want to return to the original installed language by pressing SHIFT + F5 on the keyboard. You have to do it every time Otherwise, you have to do what your colleague mentioned. Regards -
Very frequent BSOD's after switching to Kaspersky from another AV
S0LAR3NGiN3 posted a topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
Hi, last week my subscription to another internet security ended (not sure if it matters, it was GData). I decided to switch to Kaspersky. I installed Kaspersky Premium and only later removed the older IS, so that there would be no gap. When Kaspersky did a quick search, it found 2 suspicious files, one was a jpg file, which I didn't recognise and it was at a very strange location and another was called hosts.rollback (or something similar). Both files were infected and both files were also removed by Kaspersky. So I'm convinced Kaspersky is doing it's work. ButAfter that first installation and check, I started getting very frequent BSOD's, almost every 5-10 minutes. The message on the blue screen is: IRQL is not equal or less (or something like that, it disappears real quick). The message in event viewer is as follows: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000000a (0x0000000004e2b34c, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff805e8a9f600) I have googled the issues at best as I could, I did a few things, like system file checker etc. in windows, I also checked my memory, hard drive(s) en motherboard bios. Nothing seems to be helping. In the last year my pc crashed about 3 times, caused by faulty drivers by Nvidia. Which seems to be resolved after new drivers. And now I have a few houndreds of crashes in just 4-5 days. So I can get in touch with Kaspersky customer service, but they ask for a complete dump of the crash, to be able to do this, I have to follow 2 steps. I cannot finish the first step, because I get a warning from windows that I cannot change that value because of some group policies. Did anyone encounter an issue like this and how can I resolve this? <Edit: I have win11, 24H2, 26100-4351, quite well built gaming system with all elements just 1 year old, everything seems to be in perfect order. Like I said, I have Kaspersky Premium. -
I've been gathering a number of issues regarding visual bugs and abnormal symptoms regarding action malfunctions and etc. And I refuse to accept that I need to uninstall the antivirus every year when the company release a new version. Upon annual new version in 2025, KS 21.20 ( can't remember which version was ) got released on February 6th while from 2024 KS 21.19.7.527(b) had minor issues where scans were not partially registering or saving upon conclusion at report page and the workaround was to maintain report page open till the verification/scan was over. When Kaspersky Standard 21.21.7.384(a) came this issue remained but keeping report page open till verifications/scans were being done, upon finish they would still not register or save any data. Since then I've made new discoveries about and to make verifications/scans be saved and register ever since now I have to maintain report page minimzed and open and on 95% to 98% I've to refresh the page and expand the scan on progress and click on start time stamp so they can be saved and register. This issue affect full/quick and background scans. There have other bugs where tonight upon another automatic update from KS when I've attempted to run a quick prompt scan using mouse on a folder, the scan got stuck and was forever running at 100%. After that issue ran off I've spotted the interface showed duplicate selective scans instead of one. To fix this odd behavior, restarting the computer managed the solve the issue. One of the translated image I've manipulated is to guide there have been a minor to KS 21.21 that particular setting is so unwanted that made some serious crashes to the whole PC back on release and I was not aware untill I've turned off ''Suspension Windows mode''. I mean that uncalled function completely ignore the other function that come along on front when you run full scans. I also have noticed when searching for updates to Kaspersky Standard data base, the percentage rate on the interface goes slower than on the icon in the set ray. -
"The website *** may not display correctly" Pop-ups
Zoli_G posted a topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
Hi, out of nowhere Kaspersky started showing these Pop-ups at system startup (Windows 11), when I launch a Microsoft office program or from Adobe, I am not opening any website, just Outlook of Photoshop for example. I never seen those pop-ups from Kaspersky before, I havnet done any changes to the system or anything like that, I had Microsoft and Adobe products installed for years along with Kaspersky, so I wonder what is causing it, if its a Kaspersky update, or if I can turn it off or fix it somehow ? -
Kaspersky creates a shortcut on my Desktop without asking my permission.
Decimus Maxentius posted a topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
Hello. How to stop Kaspersky from creating shortcuts on my Desktop, this happens after software or database updates. Antivirus is not something you explicitly launch everyday like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Chrome, etc. Antivirus should run in background so I don't need to keep Antivirus (Kaspersky) shortcut on my desktop, because I will not launch it manually everyday. Why does it keep creating shortcut on my Desktop? I don't like it's behavior it acts like its a Boss on my PC and I'm just a guest or employee. WTF? BTW deleting Kasperksy shortcuts from my desktop requires me to enter the Admin password. STOP doing this on my PC. It is MY PC not yours. -

I set the update to "After application launch" for test and waited 2 minutes After 10 minutes, there was no trace in the report The problem therefore appears to be a setting in Kaspersky that is causing updates to be buggy I'll retest by restoring all the settings to their defaults, just to be sure

@Flood and Flood's wife I found some information on the Kaspersky website (for older versions) and if I understood correctly, for the "Every hour" setting, If for the Hours setting, it says 10:00 AM and 1 hour for the "Run every" setting, then the search will be performed every hour starting at 10:00 AM (and therefore not before) I don't see what the Postpone.... setting is for if the PC (or Kaspersky) is launched before the specified time Otherwise, I reinstalled Kaspersky 21.21, and the update ran automatically without any problems after installation (with all the default settings) Either the reinstallation fixed the problem, or a setting is breaking the automatic update I set it to "every hour" I had this problem with a software that Kaspersky was blocking. The software's launch was delayed by 1 minute with a disabled setting in K, and only if Kaspersky was closed and reopened Thanks for your help I will see if the problem persists, if so, it will be a setting (or bug with setting) in K therefore

Hello @tistou77 Only quick addition : Kaspersky checking for updates after 15 minutes of windows start (when you see background) after 15 minutes will automatically update databases and then every 2 hours.

Wow, what this little exe put me through with Kaspersky. So I reinstalled Kaspersky premium, instantly it detects keyboard locker as malware again. Mind you I've been using it every day when gaming or cleaning touchpad and keyboard, with Avira I was testing. And a complete FULL scan with Kaspersky finds only one malware, this little 200kb exe. Once it's deleted, another full, hour long complete system scan is clean. So again, if it was malware, it would have been infecting system for those last two weeks I used it when Kaspersky wasn't installed. It would have done SOMETHING malicious to my system. But as long as that little exe is not on my system, a full 1 hour scan finds zero malware anywhere. THAT'S how I always knew it was safe, before I even finally managed to get real proof (below). Remember, this all started over 2 weeks back, so it's been a very ridiculous process. I have every right to legitimately complain, and I am going to write a letter to Kaspersky support about it and express my disappointment and wasting hours of my time over this. Allow me to explain why. I followed all the instructions here in this forum: I booted in safe mode and it easily allowed me to access the exe file. Oh by the way, before I go on, I thought you might be interested in virustotal results: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/d4c104c17449e5eded7520d6c77f4dce1df933bd514ad65b515516aad3fc6829?nocache=1 Let that sink in. Do you know I have never seen any so called malware before, ever, where only one engine has detected it? If it's a false positive, it's always at least 2 or 3 or 4, but when even Mcafee and Norton say it's clean, you really know something is wrong LOL. So much for Kaspersky having the lowest false positives in recent av comparatives April test. And Avira having so much higher. LOL I ran Avira for 2 weeks straight, 24/7, and not a single false positive whatsoever. But I digress. I want people to understand what I went through to get this exe to submit it for reanalysis. OK So I booted in safe mode and copied it. As soon as I rebooted back into normal mode, I right clicked and disabled Kaspersky for 5 hours, of course I was going to manually re enable protection when I had submitted the file, but this is why something like Malwarebytes becomes so useful when you need to disable an AV. You see, disabling Kaspersky means your system is open to everything, as defender does not come back on, and not even if you right click the icon and exit Kaspersky (more on that later). I use Malwarebytes VPN and have a 2 year plus subscription for 5 devices because I use it on my mac and my iPhone, and I have it on the PC for second opinion scans like SO many others do., But because I am a paid user of it, when I need to disable an AV, with one click I can enable all real time protections of Malwarebytes so I am NOT NAKED to the internet, so to speak. Anyway, K was disabled, yet one minute into it, somehow it detected it and deleted it. Same as always, just two options, disinfect or disinfect without restart. It NEVER puts it into quarantine so I can restore it and add an exception, and if I reinstall it, Windows gives it a different install folder number which it does every time you uninstall and re install any windows store app. So this was impossible to make an exception for. It gets better. I had to go all the way and actually tell Kaspersky NOT to start with windows, and then I went back into safe mode, re copied the exe file to a place I had user access, re started and it was gone when the computer booted back into normal windows. So Kaspersky must have some kind of boot time protection. So I had no option but to uninstall Kaspersky, leave it uninstalled whilst I submitted the file to virus total and the false detection form and just re installed. Weeks of hell for one app. As to why I don't use the one other similar alternative app out there, it's incredibly slow, and has made an error before and locked my entire computer and I had to force shut down with power button. The windows store app is lightning fast and just works and always has. So that's why, before anyone asks. To me, Kaspersky behaved worse than any malware I have personally encountered. The real problem is the disinfection pop up that gave me no option to add it as an exception, no matter what I tried. It does make one think, and before anyone thinks I am whining, just remember I've spent about 10 hours of real time on this, submitting reports, testing other AVs, and so on. Kaspersky should not have behaved this way and given me an easy option to exclude it, like every other, I mean EVERY other AV I tested. How did I test the other AV's (I made a complete list of the ones I fully tested, about 17 of them, the ones that had 100% functional trials, but that's another storey for another time), well I used Eicar files. All of them bar Kaspersky allow simple restore from quarantine. ALL of them. Kaspersky just deletes. The thing is, if it's actually something like an info stealer or ransomware, of course I want kaspersky to delete it, but just for my own info, is there ANY setting, something in Kaspersky that could have saved me from this fresh hell with this innocent little file? TIA as always and sorry for my rant, now I can chill, K finally has the exe and I am sure before long I'll be able to use the app again. Cheers

Hi, since I now have a 10 seat Kaspersky Premium license, I wanted to install it on the Mac. BUT, I use Little Snitch, and although kaspersky mac doesn't have the firewall, it has a network component that was incompatible with little Snitch many, many years ago. I use Little Snitch religiously as it's the easiest app on Mac, period, to get internet connection outbound access alerts. And the beauty is that it has a perfect set of default rules to allow the OS and safari to function, so you really only get alerts as you install new apps (or if you genuinely have some spyware or malware or something). It's not the end of the world, I will keep using Malwarebytes on my Mac if Kaspersky still doesn't want to co exist with Snitch. However, I thought it would be nice to have kasapersky, as unlike MWB, it deals with windows malware on the mac also so you don't accidentally spread it to others, as well as real time scanning whereas MWB only deals with Mac malware and ONLY if it tries to execute. Unlike Windows, there is no quick simple system restore on Mac, and Time Machine takes ages for something like this. So would be great to know up front if anyone knows! TIA!

Intermittent Freezing/Display Issue When Switching Applications
John1509 replied to John1509's topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
@harlan4096 Further Update: I've conducted more testing and have narrowed down the trigger for this issue. It appears that Kaspersky does not freeze or stay stuck in the foreground when performing a Full Scan or a Quick Scan. However, the problem consistently occurs when a Background Scan is running. As soon as a background scan initiates, Kaspersky becomes unresponsive to attempts to switch to other applications, remaining in the foreground. This strongly suggests that the "Background Scan" process is directly related to this window focus/freezing bug. Hopefully, this more specific information will be helpful in identifying the root cause. Thank you again for your assistance. -
Antivirus Scanning function
Flood and Flood's wife replied to Brian _Hone's topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
Hello @Brian _Hone, Welcome! For Scanning, read Scanning the computer & go to the Kaspersky Plus *Home* page, select the *arrow* icon to the right of Quick scan - that opens a page with all *additional* scan options: Full scan, Selective scan, Removable dev scan etc; use the scroll-bar on the RHS of the page to navigate up/down. For the "Kaspersky just asked me to update my hardware for installation" issue, post a *fullscreen-screenshot* please - we need to see what you see - hide any personal info before posting *32 Mb RAM* is not enough, read Hardware & software requirements - for Kaspersky Plus. Thank you🙏 Flood🐳+🐋
