I installed Kaspersky Total Security today, with a one year subscription. However, after it did a scan and restarted the computer, my keyboard and mouse have stopped responding. I tried other keyboards and mice, both wired and wireless as well but it did not work. But they still work on the biOS screen of the pc. I could not find a recovery boot option. So I would like to have help with this.

Exclusions aren't working, Please help.
Rahul_dpa replied to Rahul_dpa's topic in Kaspersky Total Security
Thank you so much for the response 🙏🤝 @Flood and Flood's wife, Thanks for the welcome, I'm excited to be here. 😄 The suggestions you have provided worked. The notification part I've point out, I mean in the windows notification center not in the kaspersky app. I've removed the "Risk tool in object field & replaced with asterisk. Removed File hash & replaced with asterisk. Saved above settings and run a quick scan & I got the desired outcome I was looking for, results are below. 👇 I've gone through the below articles to understand how to add an exclusion, but i was confused with creating name masks, objects, filehash & protection components. Could you please explain in a simple way about those four underlined terms and what they mean & how they function? https://support.kaspersky.com/help/Kaspersky/Win21.5/en-US/227390.htm https://support.kaspersky.com/help/Kaspersky/Win21.5/en-US/201385.htm https://support.kaspersky.com/KESWin/12.0/en-US/187478.htm https://encyclopedia.kaspersky.com/knowledge/the-classification-tree/ -

Hello. I just installed Kaspersky internet security and right away my Lenovo yoga 7i keyboard stopped working. Tried several methods before finding the registry method. Problem is, I follow all the steps, I delete the "klkbdflt" entry from the registry leaving only "kbdclass". I hit ok. Then when I close the registry, it comes back as it was: both entries appear in the UpperFilters. What do I do now? Please help, I need this machine for work. When I change it: When I open it again:

Hello @jawckey, Welcome! In Safe Money settings - make sure *all* settings are as shown in image 1, especially Run Protected Browser & To proceed to websites from the Safe Money window, use Default browser In the actual Safe Money browser (you) may wish to add shortcuts for the websites (you) commonly use - image 2 In Safe Money websites, again, (you) may wish to build a list of websites (you) commonly use - image 3 Using these - we - can use the Safe Money browser without it 'spawning' new tabs, once it's running - we simply go to the Chrome search field OR the URL field & type in our required www & it goes directly to the site OR - if our search is generic - a list of potential sites - but no spawning of new tabs without opening a www. *Also* - at "when I restart my windows 11 desktop, I launch a normal chrome window." - why not *launch Safe Money browser* right from this starting point - either from Safe Money shortcut (on desktop) OR from Safe Money websites - in the Kaspersky application? & (ioo) - "restarting the desktop" is an extreme measure - kill the Safe Money Chrome browser - via Windows Task manager Any issues or concerns please post back? Thank you🙏 Flood🐳+🐋 Resources: Read: Safe Money Safe Money settings

One question regarding unninstalling procedure as a last resource to workaround for any bug when Kaspersky app get these annual versions. When I merged my Kaspersky Internet Security 21.3.10.391(l) to Kaspersky Standard 21.17.7.539(e), I did not face any issue except for future versions of the app. Then upon KS 21.17.7.539(i) there have been unknown bugs related to report window not registering some virus scans or rootkit scan but then it would happen occasionally that issue. But Antispam was there, Kaspersky quick menu context was working as well the welcome message in introduction display was ensuring safety. Now Kaspersky Standard 21.18.5.438(a) do not ensure me much quality about these bugs and for reducing the package, recently acquired for purchasing Kaspersky Standard license. If I run the procedure to uninstall the whole KS suite and install directly the executable from My Kaspersky management center. Will that bring back Kaspersky scan menu context along with that second function to verify the certification? And what if I decide to wait untill Kaspersky Standard 21.18 update to a newer version ''KS 21.18.5.438(b)'' will this issue among others pointed out by other their user data. Are they going to be fixed if I decide to wait for a newer version to come up?

I have tried several times to figure out how to set my Kaspersky Plus to launch upon startup. There are instructions out there on the internet, but in the "security" area, there are so many places...& cannot figure out which one to use. I always purchase Kaspersky products & have never had a problem with any, however this one is really confusing me. I think it important that the app launch upon startup, otherwise how would I know if I'm protected. Thanks in advance!!!

Does Kaspersky install its own mouse or keyboard drivers or change mouse/keyboard registry settings anymore? I read there were some issues regarding this in the past. And why would the software have to do any such thing? Excuse my ignorance but I’m a noob at antivirus. considering switching from Norton to Kaspersky. thank you

I have kaspersky premium given to me but I'm not the account owner. I have read a couple of threads on here and some of the documentation. But it remains a little unclear and vague. What can the account owner specifically access on my device? What can they specifically see? What can they specifically do? Can I please get clear definitive answer please? For example: -can they see file list, names and paths? -can they see other devices and hardware connected? Think a PC running kaspersky with connected external drive, camera, network PC and so forth. -can they see logins and passwords using the password manager? In a thread I saw someone say no, but the official documentation for shared accounts in password manager data sync seems to indicate yes? -can they see what programs or software is installed? -can they see optimization suggestions, PC startup suggestions and so on that premium shows the user? -can they see what identity searches were done or what identities are being protected? A privacy protection function of premium that shows the user if their data has been leaked elsewhere -can they see vault and content? -can they see safe kids users, when accessed and so forth? -can they run quick scan? Full scan? If yes, in the results of these, can they see any of the above? What if the scan shows an issue or infection can they then see any of the above? -can they see what modules are not installed or used? Eg VPN, password manager. And can they enable it remotely anyway? -can they update the signatures DB? -what else can they do? -what else can they see?

I have Kaspersky Premium. "Previous application launch failed". Apparently after few minutes when Windows boots, Kaspersky crashes and opens up again and displays this error. And it does the same several times again during the day. It's really annoying. I have contacted customer support and gave them all the necessary files (dump and system info files), It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard anything back. I went so far as to fresh install the latest Windows 11 (ISO on Microsoft's website), but nothing changes. I do not have any cracked software and everything I installed are genuine and properly bought. I thought the issue may be due to system stability, so I did a memory test overnight and did some burn-in benchmarks and there are no errors. No other program on my system acts weirdly. I have also tried "Kaspersky removal tool" and did another installation of Kaspersky, but the issue persists. I am very close to uninstalling this for good, and I don't want to, I really like Kaspersky. Please help!

Kaspersky Standard 21.17 [ Bug report page ];
Psiu47 replied to Psiu47's topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
There were no discussion I've posted last month. What happened actually for 9 days aprox. at May 12th 'rootkit/background scans' were not saving in the full report page like other scans. So with my old habit everytime these scans were about to happen I've kept tracked the time would start accordingly to my clock and when they would stop by checking how many minutes the last background/rootkit finished. And made a log everyday on notepad. That is how I've managed to keep tracking these scans since there bugging for no reason. And I've thought Kaspersky might be aware, collecting information gathered from their client base to figure out what issue is and get resolved as soon as possible. So I would not bother with another topic about an issue as this since unknown bugs are always related to updates and changes and since KS is set to update daily by automatic. Is an unknown ground which updated blew this off. Yesterday, I've noticed a similar symptom happening when I'd execute a 'quick scan' and when went to check 'full report page', there were no log about that 'quick scan' and the last detail was from another scan. So I have booted the computer and then I've started running path selected, or 'selective scans', 'quick scan' once more and somehow managed to save these reports at 'full report page'. At late last night after several searches and automatic database updates. What I have noticed is at 10:02 p.m. all scans/verifications I have started were being stored at 'full report page'. I may have antecipated with no further study and conclusion which gets a wrong image about my presence. So anyhow, it seems like is back to normal by sort of and if the next it happens another bug. I'll wait a day or two before spreading anything at the forum. My apologies for unwary discussion I should have gathered more information before posting this. -

I don't understand. Your link takes me to my account and my Kaspersky Plus subscription, but the only options there are to cancel the subscription. That looks increasingly likely. On my desktop, Kaspersky says it is still "preparing to launch the application". It's been doing that for the past hour. What should I do? PS: I am in Europe, your website says: "Kaspersky Standard, Plus, and Premium do not require activation codes."

1) I try to use kaspersky protected mode in chrome for all browsing. 2) So when I restart my windows 11 destktop, I launch a normal chrome window. 3) And then I try to load a URL that I earlier chose to use protected view. This starts a new protected chrome window. 4) Then I close '2's wondow and use 3's window by opening other URLs as tabs. And thus then on all my brower tabs will be protected ones. But I often forget to do '2' and end up staying with 2. So after sometime if I start to try '3' to switch all to protected view like 4. step 3 keeps on spawning new tabs in a never ending fashion but never opens the URL. To get rid off this nuisance the only way that works is to restart the desktop and now remember to do 1, 2, 3, 4!!! Can you pl. help cure this disease?

I found myself without a working keyboard or mouse after installing Kaspersky Free. LUCKILY, the mouse worked when I unplugged it since it's wired and wireless. I scoured the internet for a solution to my problem and quickly learned that has been an issue with Kaspersky since as early as 2016!? I saw that while keyboard input seemed, blocked, I was still able to communicate between PC and keyboard adjusting volume and opening calculator, for example. Moving forward, I tried uninstalling the devices multiple times and reinstalling them (after system restart), I tried modifying the registry, I tried running several different scans... ZERO luck. Then I thought, "Maybe disable Kaspersky?" Still nothing. I uninstalled, restarted, nothing. Windows troubleshoot was unable to fix my "driver error". I caved and called Kaspersky - this seemed promising since the rep sounded friendly! Alas, they told me the problem was not due to Kaspersky (I KNOW it was since that was the only significant change I made to my system), they could not help me and that I might need to contact Microsoft (ROFL, no)... Solution: Hold the shift key and restart the PC. Select a restore point from before installing Kaspersky. Wait about 10 minutes (will vary by system). Thanks for nothing, rep! ZERO effort. I hope you are shown this and not reprimanded, but at least LEARN to apply yourself to help customers. Call Ref #: 14316475

Hello @megala, Welcome! It's not necessarily a matter of 'better or worse', it's personal choice. About protection through hardware virtualization in Kaspersky applications. About protection using hardware virtualization. About protection of data entered on the computer keyboard. Thank you🙏 Flood🐳+🐋

previous application launch failed
ruggb posted a topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
when I boot my computer and Kaspersky starts I get this popup window saying "previous application launch failed" and asking if I want to send data. I have sent it a few times, but I have no idea what application and what to do about it. Is it talking about Kaspersky? If so, why is it happening and how do I resolve it?
