Can't remove powershell.exe marked as Trojan, HEUR:Trojan-Downloader.BAT.Agent.gen
Schulte replied to QQxR's topic in Virus and Ransomware related questions
Just a quick check: Could you please take a look at the ‘UpdateHostsFile’ task? Does a script run here? Unfortunately, I don't have Windows 11 available right now to verify this. I'm sure @harlan4096 can help with this... ... and then continue with the KRD. -

Hi Berny, Thanks for your quick response. Did run AdwCleaner but the log file is a bit empty ( just shows the pre installed Dell software and registry settings). The screen dump is a bit more useful. -

Accessibility problem with Kaspersky popups
Morphenius posted a topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
Hi everyone, I have a physical disability which means I have to use an xbox adaptive controller with software called JoyXOff to convert the inputs to Mouse and Keyboard. Unfortunately when I need to change settings for Kaspersky or create exclusions, I am unable to click on these popups to confirm. This then means my carer has to plug in a mouse every time to confirm. I have tried adding the relevant files and folders to the "Allow interaction with the Kaspersky Anti-Virus interface" setting in specify trusted applications but unfortunately it still does not work. Any help would be appreciated as I would like to keep using this software! -

Kaspersky Detected Trojan >>> Game: Seven Knight Rebirth Global >>> This is falsh positive or something wrong
gujacrazy replied to gujacrazy's topic in Virus and Ransomware related questions
Thanks for reply. Is it safe ? I've been playing these games with Kaspersky running for months now and never had a problem until yesterday when a Quick Scan suddenly detected it. Quick scan only detects when I run the game. After closing the game, quick scan cannot detect. I did a full scan and it said there was nothing wrong with my PC. Do I need to send a report to Kaspersky support? -

Newly updated kaspersky plus with AI
secu-ian replied to secu-ian's topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
this is the instruction they told me. "Please follow the instructions below for a probable solution regarding your Safe Money issue. 1. Please try changing default browser for Safe Money to a different one and see if the issue persists. Open your Kaspersky Plus app > Privacy > Safe Money settings (click the cogwheel) > look for the "Additional" section" and change the browser > Save. 2. Delete Safe Money browser profile folder and start Safe Money again to create a new folder/profile. Press the Win key + R on your keyboard > type %programdata% and click OK > Kaspersk Lab > delete SafeBrowser > then run a protected browser again. Please note that this will delete your Safe Money list of website entries." ------then i tried to open a website in protected and this end up not working. and i shut down the computer. Again, i received an email the next day, which is today (this is the emailed instruction) "Thank you for your response and for providing those updates. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. I have checked the provided GSI report, but I can't find anything peculiar in it. Before we can propose solution or a workaround to the issue you are experiencing, we would need your assistance to share some additional data for further analysis. 1. Open the main Kaspersky application window. 2. Click Customer Service icon in the lower part of the window. This opens the Customer Service window. 3. Click the Support Tools link to open the Support Tools window. 4. Use the toggle switch to Enable application tracing. To save the changes, click the Save button. 5. Reboot the computer. 6. Proceed to reproduce the issue once the computer is back on. 7. Open the main Kaspersky application window. 8. Click Customer Service icon in the lower part of the window. This opens the Customer Service window. 9. Click the Support Tools link to open the Support Tools window. 10. Use the toggle switch to Disable application tracing. To save the changes, click the Save button. 11. In the Support Tools Window, Click on Create Report. 12. Uncheck Operating System Information 13. Click on Save report on your computer 14. Enter the File Name Traces, save the archive in a location you will remember and click Save. 15. Please send us this Traces archive. today I open the computer, read this email, then i followed 1-5. after that i tried to open a website in protected mode so that it will trace my activity (I think) then it opened successfully in protected mode. tried another website and still opening in protected mode. this is my thought to this. maybe last night when I followed the first two instructions after trying the "safe money" which turned out not working and after i shut it (my thought) something was cleared without knowing. then when i received an email today and followed the instructions then when i tried "safe money" again it successfully opened. -
Kaspersky Standard 21.24.8.522 implemented A.I. and yet;
Psiu47 replied to Psiu47's topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
All I've got are old personal archives from my findings and this onde show is from KS 21.22 but still the unsolved mystery with scans not being saved and registered were acting defective for over two years. (Files are to big to post here) Back in 2024 in attempt to fix a common bug found by others where quick mouse virus scan prompt was not working. The instrunction was to repair or uninstal Kaspersky Standard. Doing that, It did solve this particular problem but my unknow bug remained unresolved. I've managed to survive with annoying bug for months untill KS 21.24 came, making all scans to disappear uppon finishing. So after all the embarassment spend trying understand why this curse never got resolved. I've ended up again in completely uninstal KS and downloading from MY KASPERSKY service account this layest version. Doing that, I've ran the background scan while installing and followed the progression till the end. The scan saved on reports page and I've began to execute many viruses scans to check If they were being saved, and not disappear. After four days putting to test, there have bem registered more than 23x viruses scans and they were all saved at last. Finally! 🙏 I've running now a Full scan like I usually do every week and I Hope Kaspersky co. start managing their updates with more caution and *don't* push newer version anytime soon. -
My family has been using Kaspersky for years and there were no problems. But after updating our family's subscription yesterday Kaspersky Plus is no longer launching on my PC. I gives me an error message about "Microsoft .net failed to initialize" which started today. Never had this issue before. There were some "The prior start of the program failed, do you want to send a report." message and i did send reports but nothing ever came from this. Today Kaspersky Plus does no longer launch at all. It keeps crashing during the launch process. I know there is a multitude of different posts about this issue over the years but NONE of the solutions there did jackshit for me. I'm on Windows 11 Version 25H2. My computer is the only Windows 11 one and the only one with this issue. I tried the repair tool for Microsoft .net which didn't help. I tried reinstalling Microsoft .net which didn't help. I tried installing other versions which didn't help. Nothing does anything. And the ONLY programm with this issue is Kaspersky...

Software Updater Restarting Issues & Oracle VM VirtualBox

In certain cases, ‘Install updates and fix vulnerabilities’ task might fail with some error. Below example contains ‘Error verifying file signature’ error but you may use mentioned keywords and overall approach for investigation of other errors met while running ‘Install updates and fix vulnerabilities’ task. Here are some steps to investigate such problems: First of all view list of updates aimed at installation on client. For this purpose in network agent trace file search for ‘Update to install:’ without quotes. You will get results similar to: etc. Some of found updates are skipped by filters so pay attention to skipped updates and to overall number of updates that should be installed. Some updates might already be downloaded to the target system so at the second step identify which update files are already downloaded and which should be downloaded. In network agent trace file search for ‘is already downloaded’ and ‘needs to be downloaded’ without quotes. In our sample traces results are: Match code of update which needs to be downloaded (79ae03df-d6eb-4de2-b59f-37e963d7a69e) with results detected at step 1 and you will see that KB907417 needs to be downloaded. Open MS Update catalog and search for KB907417. In search results click ‘Download’ button and observe window with results: Name of archive containing required update KB907417 is: otkloadr_c87e2fe94dd873224afa65e2af2473ca3e307a37.cab Search for c87e2fe94dd873224afa65e2af2473ca3e307a37.cab in WindowsUpdate.log from client machine. Pay attention to the found lines: Search for otkloadr_c87e2fe94dd873224afa65e2af2473ca3e307a37.cab in administration server trace file to find URL used by administration server to download required update from MS servers: Now once we know the name of problem update you may offer the customer to temporarily exclude KB907417 from update installation task to let other updates to be installed. Then proceed with investigation. On Administration server use web browser to download problem update from the link identified at step 6 and make sure that its signature is valid. It should look like on below screenshots In case if Digital Signatures tab is not present in properties of this file or signature is invalid then try to re-download with disabled AV solution. If this does not help then make sure that no proxy/firewall affect this issue. Verify that MS certificates are up to date on KSC server. In MMC console / Software updates node right click on KB907417 and ‘Delete update files’. Try to launch updates installation task again. On client machine use web browser to download problem update using link identified at step 5. Verify its signature and proceed same way as in step 8. Additionally compare downloaded file with C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\48ec39650764ea7a46ebe67ecf3b6f47\OTKLOADR.CAB. Verify diginal signature of OTKLOADR.CAB You may use signtool.exe to verify signature of .cab files on server and client: signtool.exe verify /pa otkloadr_c87e2fe94dd873224afa65e2af2473ca3e307a37.cab The utility signtool.exe goes as part of Windows SDK. It is available at C:\<Path to Windows SDK>\<version>\bin\<build number>\x64\signtool.exe In case if digital signature appears to be correct then use standard recommendations for resetting WUA: net stop wuauserv net stop cryptSvc net stop bits net stop msiserver Rename folders Del "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Network\Downloader\qmgr*.dat" net start wuauserv net start cryptSvc net start bits net start msiserver After resetting WUA launch ‘Find updates and critical vulnerabilities’ task. It might fail several times because WUA cache was cleared. So after getting error just re-launch task again. Once 'find updates' task completes successfully launch task to install updates and fix vulnerabilities (problem update should be included in task scope this time). Observe the results.

Kaspersky causes GPU driver error (black screen, nvlddmkm)
Gokyuzu posted a topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
While my computer is running, whenever I launch Kaspersky, within 5–10 minutes my screen turns black and then comes back after about 2 seconds. I tested this many times and confirmed that Kaspersky is the cause. The issue happens even if I am idle on the desktop, without running any other applications. System details: -Operating System: Windows 10 Home, Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.6216) -Kaspersky version: 21.22.7.466(a) -GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB -Driver version tested: Latest driver 581.15 WHQL, also tested older versions with DDU clean install = issue persists -I don't use any other security software -Kaspersky settings: Default -Background apps: None (to minimize conflicts, I closed all unnecessary apps) Here are the troubleshooting steps I've already tried: -Updated GPU drivers (tested both latest and older versions) -Used DDU to perform clean driver reinstallations -Verified Windows is fully updated -Verified system integrity with: . "sfc /scannow" . "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" . "chkdsk C: /f /r" -Hardware has been tested and confirmed working normally I'm attaching a screenshot of the Windows Event Viewer section related to the error. Although this part is in Turkish, I've added an English version below. Here: "The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. The component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: \Device\0000007f Error occurred on GPUID: 100 The message resource is present but the message is not found in the message table." Thank you for your attention and support. -

quick scan dose not appear in the dropdown list of windows -
Hallo!

Kaspersky blocking logitech keyboard-macro

So I have a Logitech-macro on my left mousebutton that I use in games and it worked fine before I installed kaspersky. Now whenever I'm ingame the macro does not work anymore, I've created exceptions for Logitech-GHUB and the game (Tarkov), but still the macro won't work. :( -
little window for safe keyboard input
S.E. posted a topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
Hi, I'm not sure wether this is the right forum or the right english term for it, but I have a problem with that little window that opens whenever I try to enter something into a searchbar. As seen in the screenshot, it completely blocks a large part underneath the searchbar for no apparent reason. A lot of the time it blocks auto completion or other stuff for several seconds, making the work process slower. I think I don't have to be reminded that the secure keyboard input is active everytime I want to enter something. Is there a means to have that box toggled off? -
Endpoint Security Cloud - After update, "Application is installed but it is not running"
paul_33 replied to paul_33's topic in Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business
We're on 12.11.0.637 right now It seems like some computers are fixing themselves without having to do anything, while others are suddenly experiencing this issue out of the blue despite working since the update. So now I am not sure what is causing this. One computer that I had previously reinstalled suddenly starting having it again, then after a few restarts it fixed itself. There needs to be a quick way to fix this because users can't be carrying on while their AV is not running correctly. Shouldn't it try to restart protection on it's own?
