Kaspersky Safe Kids 23.0.0.418 (on Windows) and Fortnite
Asaviour posted a topic in Kaspersky Safe Kids
There seems to be some issues with Kaspersky Safe Kids 23.0.0.418 and Fortnite - Which both my kids play regularly. When launching the game it will hang and then leave me no choice but to restart the computer (can't even open task manager). Even when disabling Kaspersky Safe Kids this issue still persists. Only when I fully un-install the application does the game work again. I can replicate this by then installing Safe Kids again which will produce the crash on launch. I can only assume Safe Kids is trying to capture what is happening when the anti-cheat or the game itself is loading - I don't even have app monitoring on. I've dabbled with quite a few of the settings and still can't get it working. I would like the peace of mind knowing safe kids is installed but at the moment it's unusable due to this fact (I can't even pause it - The program has to be totally un-installed) - I have tried a full re-install which doesn't help - I even did a fresh install of Windows 11 trying to cure the issues until I pinpointed it to Safe Kids. Can you offer any advice? I'd be happy to grab logs if that's possible. -
Hallo!

I installed Kaspersky Total Security today, with a one year subscription. However, after it did a scan and restarted the computer, my keyboard and mouse have stopped responding. I tried other keyboards and mice, both wired and wireless as well but it did not work. But they still work on the biOS screen of the pc. I could not find a recovery boot option. So I would like to have help with this.

How to set Kaspersky Plus to launch upon startup.
Mexican Rose posted a topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
I have tried several times to figure out how to set my Kaspersky Plus to launch upon startup. There are instructions out there on the internet, but in the "security" area, there are so many places...& cannot figure out which one to use. I always purchase Kaspersky products & have never had a problem with any, however this one is really confusing me. I think it important that the app launch upon startup, otherwise how would I know if I'm protected. Thanks in advance!!! -
Hello. I just installed Kaspersky internet security and right away my Lenovo yoga 7i keyboard stopped working. Tried several methods before finding the registry method. Problem is, I follow all the steps, I delete the "klkbdflt" entry from the registry leaving only "kbdclass". I hit ok. Then when I close the registry, it comes back as it was: both entries appear in the UpperFilters. What do I do now? Please help, I need this machine for work. When I change it: When I open it again:

Does Kaspersky install its own mouse or keyboard drivers or change mouse/keyboard registry settings anymore? I read there were some issues regarding this in the past. And why would the software have to do any such thing? Excuse my ignorance but I’m a noob at antivirus. considering switching from Norton to Kaspersky. thank you

On-screen Keyboard BUG Issue
Olive E - Business replied to Jamie Lee's topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
If you're experiencing an on-screen keyboard bug, try restarting your device, checking for software updates, and toggling the keyboard off and on. If the issue persists, test in Safe Mode, or reinstall keyboard drivers. If necessary, run a system file check (Windows) or reset keyboard settings. -
Rollback doubt (and other little things...)
Flood and Flood's wife replied to Tizio Cajo's topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
Hello @Tizio Cajo, You're most welcome! Thank you for the additional question! Additional to our previous, READ: System Watcher settings, specifically Action to perform if malicious or other activity can be rolled back. In Performance Settings PC performance optimization, make sure Launch Kaspersky at computer startup (recommended) is *checked* IF Kaspersky is not working / running / active, in Windows security there will be alerts & the Kaspersky icon will not be present in Windows *Hidden icons* Another tip, sometimes, finding Kaspersky features in the GUI, can be a little difficult - use the SEARCH field & a simple word search: Thank you🙏 Flood🐳+🐋 -
Kaspersky Plus wants an activation code - what to do?
nicoret posted a topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
Every Kaspersky update I've ever done - since about 2016 - has something incomprehensible. I just downloaded Kaspersky Plus, installed, relaunched (Windows 7) and a Kaspersky desktop message says: "preparing to launch the application". It's been "preparing to launch the application" for about half an hour. About 15 minutes ago, the application, while still "preparing to launch", popped up a message saying my subscription was active until 15/07/2025. When I pressed "Continue", it asked me to insert the activation code. Of course, Kaspersky Plus does not require an activation code. But the "Activate" button is dead, waiting for me to insert an activation code. Of course I don't have one. Maybe I should just close the pop-up and carry on, right? But maybe that would abort the "preparing to launch the application" process? It's been 45 minutes and it's still "preparing to launch the application". What protection my PC has during this process, I dread to think. PS: While waiting for Kaspersky Plus to start working, I tried reactivating my old Windows Firewall but of course that is unreactivatable because it's being "managed by Kaspersky Standard" (not PLus?) -
Malicious object detected: HEUR:Trojan.Multi.Misslink.a
MisslinkQn posted a topic in Virus and Ransomware related questions
I got a notification around 2.55pm today (20 Nov 2024) from Kaspersky saying malicious object detected: HEUR:Trojan.Multi.Misslink.a I clicked on it too clickly and was not able to check what the detection item actually was, to diagnose where it came from. Here are the 3 logs for disinfection: How or what can I check or use to determine the source of this registry key that was so threatening? I want to know what malicious launch activity it was doing while disguising itself with Run:Steam. -

Rollback doubt (and other little things...)
shadowtabby144 replied to Tizio Cajo's topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
Heyo. I just wanted to add that I have personally have been using kaspersky for years. I have also tested out eset and other AV's but none of them came close to kaspesky's protection. I love kaspersky security software and will be keeping to them. I personally use the Kaspersky Prem. Never have had malware on my PC since. What made me change, is because I used to use AVG, eset, bit defender, quick heal, and a few others (NOT at the same time). Every time I got malware, they did crap all to help remove it. Change to kaspersky. It made sure that my PC was clean befor installing it. And boom nothing since. -
The Evolution of Cybersecurity: A Look at Emerging Threats and Solutions In today’s interconnected digital world, the cybersecurity landscape is in a constant state of flux. As technology evolves, so do the tactics and tools of malicious actors. At Kaspersky, Threat Research teams are at the forefront of identifying and combating these emerging challenges, offering insights that help individuals and organizations stay ahead of the curve. Here’s a deep dive into the latest trends and how businesses can bolster their defenses against the threats of tomorrow. 1. The Rise of AI-Driven Cyberattacks Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer just a tool for defenders; cybercriminals are leveraging it to automate attacks, develop polymorphic malware, and evade traditional detection mechanisms. AI-powered tools are being used to: Create highly personalized phishing campaigns using real-time data. Generate malware capable of adapting its code to bypass security solutions. Launch Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks with unprecedented precision. What You Can Do: Adopt AI-powered cybersecurity solutions that can analyze patterns and adapt defenses dynamically. Behavioral analysis tools, such as Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), are crucial in detecting anomalous activities early. 2. Supply Chain Attacks on the Rise Supply chain attacks continue to grow in complexity. Attackers target third-party software providers or infrastructure to infiltrate larger organizations. Recent studies by Kaspersky Threat Research indicate a 30% increase in such incidents in 2024 alone. Key Examples: Compromising trusted software updates (e.g., the SolarWinds incident). Infiltrating critical cloud service providers to gain broader access. Defense Strategy: Regularly audit the cybersecurity practices of your third-party vendors. Use solutions like Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, which monitors software behavior across your network to flag suspicious activities. 3. Cybercriminals Target IoT Devices The Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming a favorite target for attackers due to weak security configurations and inconsistent patching. In 2024, over 1 billion IoT devices were exposed to vulnerabilities like default passwords or outdated firmware. Common Targets Include: Smart home devices (e.g., cameras, thermostats). Industrial IoT (IIoT) used in manufacturing and logistics. Mitigation Tips: Segment your network to isolate IoT devices from critical systems. Use secure gateways or hardware that integrates with IoT security platforms like Kaspersky IoT Secure Gateway. 4. The Weaponization of Generative AI Generative AI tools like ChatGPT and MidJourney are now being used by cybercriminals to automate social engineering. These tools can create convincing phishing emails, fake news articles, and even fraudulent documents in seconds. Recent Trends: Kaspersky researchers uncovered phishing kits leveraging AI to mimic corporate branding with near-perfect accuracy, leading to a significant uptick in Business Email Compromise (BEC) scams. Countermeasure: Educate employees about identifying phishing attempts. Combine training with email security solutions that use AI to spot malicious content in real-time. 5. Quantum Computing: A Double-Edged Sword While quantum computing holds promise for breakthroughs in cryptography, it also poses a significant risk. Quantum machines can potentially break traditional encryption algorithms, threatening the security of sensitive data. Future-Proofing Your Data: Transition to quantum-resistant encryption algorithms. Stay informed about the latest standards, such as those from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). 6. Zero-Day Exploits and Vulnerability Markets Zero-day exploits remain a lucrative market for attackers. These are vulnerabilities unknown to the vendor, allowing attackers to exploit systems without detection. In 2024, Kaspersky researchers identified a new wave of zero-day attacks targeting critical infrastructure. How to Protect Your Systems: Implement multi-layered security solutions, including virtual patching. Regularly update software and firmware across all devices. Conclusion: Staying Resilient in a Dynamic Threat Landscape The cybersecurity battlefield is shifting rapidly, but the tools and strategies for defense are evolving as well. Staying informed about emerging threats is the first step toward resilience. Solutions like Kaspersky Threat Intelligence Services and Kaspersky EDR are designed to provide proactive defense capabilities, helping organizations mitigate risks before they escalate. As we move further into 2024-25, a proactive approach to cybersecurity—one that combines robust technology with informed human oversight—will be key to staying ahead of adversaries. Stay secure, stay vigilant.

"Previous application launch failed" keeps being displayed
eng.bmoradi posted a topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
I have Kaspersky Premium. "Previous application launch failed". Apparently after few minutes when Windows boots, Kaspersky crashes and opens up again and displays this error. And it does the same several times again during the day. It's really annoying. I have contacted customer support and gave them all the necessary files (dump and system info files), It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard anything back. I went so far as to fresh install the latest Windows 11 (ISO on Microsoft's website), but nothing changes. I do not have any cracked software and everything I installed are genuine and properly bought. I thought the issue may be due to system stability, so I did a memory test overnight and did some burn-in benchmarks and there are no errors. No other program on my system acts weirdly. I have also tried "Kaspersky removal tool" and did another installation of Kaspersky, but the issue persists. I am very close to uninstalling this for good, and I don't want to, I really like Kaspersky. Please help! -

little window for safe keyboard input
George Whittle replied to S.E.'s topic in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium
My question regards the "Kapersky keyboard" that shows up on my Mac every time that I try and key in a password. It blocks my ability to see what I am typing withmy own keyboard (or if I use the Kapersky keyboard), and sometimes I can't make the keyboard disappear. Is there any way to just not have the Kapersky keyboard show up on my screen at all. I never use it, and it just gets in the way. -
Request to Delist Domain and Subdomain
cilico posted a topic in Virus and Ransomware related questions
Dear Support Team, Please I have my website https://www.cilico.com/ and https://new.cilico.com which does not have a Phishing now. I totally cleaned it but Kaspersky keeps flagging my domain and subdomain as dangerous. This scan shows that no threats were detected in our files, further indicating that these detections are likely false positives. ClamAV Scan Results: However, these domains are still flagged, and our newly developed temporary domain, new.cilico.com, which is scheduled for an upcoming launch, has also been flagged. Kindly reanalyze for me. Help me remove the blacklist. Thank you very much! -
2022 - Found myself without a keyboard or mouse after install...
MrBrandt posted a topic in Kaspersky Free
I found myself without a working keyboard or mouse after installing Kaspersky Free. LUCKILY, the mouse worked when I unplugged it since it's wired and wireless. I scoured the internet for a solution to my problem and quickly learned that has been an issue with Kaspersky since as early as 2016!? I saw that while keyboard input seemed, blocked, I was still able to communicate between PC and keyboard adjusting volume and opening calculator, for example. Moving forward, I tried uninstalling the devices multiple times and reinstalling them (after system restart), I tried modifying the registry, I tried running several different scans... ZERO luck. Then I thought, "Maybe disable Kaspersky?" Still nothing. I uninstalled, restarted, nothing. Windows troubleshoot was unable to fix my "driver error". I caved and called Kaspersky - this seemed promising since the rep sounded friendly! Alas, they told me the problem was not due to Kaspersky (I KNOW it was since that was the only significant change I made to my system), they could not help me and that I might need to contact Microsoft (ROFL, no)... Solution: Hold the shift key and restart the PC. Select a restore point from before installing Kaspersky. Wait about 10 minutes (will vary by system). Thanks for nothing, rep! ZERO effort. I hope you are shown this and not reprimanded, but at least LEARN to apply yourself to help customers. Call Ref #: 14316475 -
Scan me detecto archivos dañados - Que hago con eso?
tcwe replied to tcwe's topic in Para usuarios particulares
Gracias, Harlan! Me siguen saliendo archivos dañados...
