CSGO blocking antimalware_provider.dll (KIS file)

Reporting back here Tested csgo with both KIS 21.1 and 21.2 versions they are both blocked. Then i opened ticket with steam support this is what they said. I dont know how to stop Kaspersky interfering with CSGO. I dont want to exit KIS when im playing a game. Is there any solution to this? If you are having issues playing CS:GO in Trusted Mode we recommend following instructions in-game and selecting 'RESTART TRUSTED'—this will block incompatible software and allow you to play on VAC-secured servers without impacting your Trust score. We have no way of whitelisting software so it can run alongside CS:GO in Trusted Mode, and any software interfering with CS:GO will be blocked when clicking 'RESTART TRUSTED'. If you would like to play CS:GO with software that is blocked in Trusted Mode you may do so by adding "-allow_third_party_software" as a launch option. Please note, when using this launch option your Trust Factor score may be negatively impacted and your match quality may suffer as long as the launch option is present. If any third party software is required to play a non-official game mode, you will need to start CS:GO in insecure mode by adding the launch option "-insecure". When launching CS:GO using -insecure you will not be allowed to play on VAC-secured servers. Additional information can be found in our Trusted Mode help article. Thanks , yeah sorry for being paranoid . I finally managed to launch the KasperSky Plus . Only because i launched the VPN on my windows machine . It's a very cool software indeed ! I still sent a request for refund to customer support since i can't always rely on vpn , i hope they can understand my paranoid and weird words . Anyways i have a small problem now , I am trying to connect to offsec 's website using Kali linux 's virtual machine , but the vpn keeps failling (Openvpn) . However the vpn on my windows machine works perfectly fine , Any idea if kaspersky implements any kind of protections against the traffic coming out from Kali or the virtual machine itself ?? Thanks -
I think it might related to display resolution, as it works fine on my sons computer, which is set at 1440. My computer is 2160 and the "i" key does not register at all. I boot use Ctrl-Alt-Shift-P to load, to close I have from the taskbar as the "X" does not register on the keyboard. As a work around I use the Microsoft Virtual Keyboard, which works but seems to cause the mouse to lag for a few seconds

I’m new to Kaspersky (Internet Security 2020) and have a couple of questions. Entering passwords securely. So, when I’m in the secured browser (Firefox in my case), and click in a password field, it says “Secure keyboard input is enabled”. Now, I can input my password in a variety of ways, using my laptop keyboard, using the Kaspersky onscreen keyboard, using the Windows onscreen keyboard, and even copy and pasting a password into the password field. Are all these input methods protected? I use a track pad on my laptop (no mouse), and with every other application I’ve ever seen, a tap on the track pad is interpreted as a mouse click. However this doesn’t seem to work with the Kaspersky onscreen keyboard. Is there some setting I don’t have set correctly? Thanks

Hello @cesarD, Thank you for posting back & the information! IF (you) are taking screenprints with the Safe Money browser open & pressing the Print-Screen Key on the Keyboard - according to the experts from HQ this is working exactly as per design = it's working properly in all elements, however, IF (you're) using a *print-screen* function from a third-party application & the Safe Money browser & the images shows an image(s), i.e., the screen is not black - according to the HQ experts - this is *not* working as designed. This information is also documented for v21.3, v21.6, v21.7 etc, etc.... Thank you? Flood?+? -

Hello @cesarD & @nexon, We've discussed this issue in a logged case - in the past with HQ: SafeMoney & PrintScreen do work & SafeMoney, On-Screen Keyboard & PrintScreen also do work, i.e. screen-prints are not *black*. HQ experts advised: "software-based screen capture activities are blocked. The ability to take a screenshot is only possible by physically pressing the "PrtScr" key when it is needed by the user at the computer." @cesarD, we agree with @nexon, IF Kaspersky Standand is available in (your) region, it's advisable to upgrade. The software is available to download from this link: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads#update-product. Kaspersky has replaced KIS & with Kaspersky Standard, there's no information available atm as to when KIS will be withdrawn; information about the *new* software range can be read here: Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ, by Danila T. I can't unpause machines in the console

Unfortunately, this is an old problem and apparently has not been resolved yet. if the user has sufficient rights on the local device, instead of disabling the protection, he will pause it (just pause, and not by time or until a reboot). then you can also resume the operation of components (disable pauses) only from the local client. You will need to manually launch protection locally on all such devices. There is no other solution yet. -
Hello! I wanted to write in as I am having similar issues and cannot get the On-Screen keyboard to not show up. I'm running Kaspersky Premium 23.0.0.179 on Ventura 13.2 with Firefox, and even though I have unchecked the "Show onscreen keyboard" setting, it still pops up. It's also strange that my issue doesn't always pop up with passwords either, but what appears to be "sensitive information." Please see screenshot of the page I've been able to replicate. One thing I'd like to note: When I click on Preferences within the Firefox extension, nothing happens. I've looked through the suggestions here, but my UI is a bit different and I'm wondering if I'm missing a setting. Thanks for the help!

US Government Ban on private use of Kaspersky anti-virus

Good choice. Apparently senility is contagious. I'm 75, been using KAV since it came out. I was hoping the dementos fog wouldn't reach to Colorado, but apparently it's being flown in with H5N1 vectors. At any rate, I came here to find out why I have a California download available but not a US since, in the US, practically, California is not attached to anything. Didn't know about the dementia-elosi-lensky outbreak at the Department of Commerce. Explains the choices. Downloaded the Global and the California and they have different filenames and sizes, by 100k no less. Presumed the extra 100k was languages but it turns out California is the larger one. My normal paranoidity presumes so Google can embed privacy breaking products, but that's just me. I do note, that since Google is now embedded in the website and other platform downloads, I should grow curious as to whether the Department of Commerce feels it's powerful enough to instruct Google to not download Kaspersky products or provide information on it's webpages, or hcaptcha security checks and, thus, cut Google's profit margins. If Kaspersky lawyers were used to US current insanity they would ask Google to sue for interference with global and interstate commerce . Court battle would be quick since Google doesn't hesitate to bribe judges. Anyway, after the above stream-of-consciousness. Anyone know if it's possible to download KAV products for android, mac, linux, and windows off the Google platform and onto something like fDroid? -

On a daily basis, I use a number of Remote Desktop applications, with no adjustments to the Kaspersky software necessary & with no keyboard lag/delay evident. Which RD solution is used, name & version? Have you tried different RD solutions? When the keyboard lag/delay issue happens is a VPN active? If the system is run in SafeMode with Networking does keyboard lag/delay issue persist? May we have a video of the keyboard lag/delay issue please? Is the Keyboard physically attached? KIS version & patch(x)? x=letter Has a KIS Software compatibility check ever been run? Has a uninstall & clean install of KIS been done? Have the following Temp areas been cleaned up: C:\Windows\Temp C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Temp Please let us know? Thank you🙏 Flood🐳 -

I got a reply from support: Dear Customer, Thank you for contacting Kaspersky technical support. This key combination launches the Kaspersky on-screen keyboard. Unfortunately, you cannot change the key combination for the on-screen keyboard, but you are welcome to disable this function by going to the Kaspersky application under: Kaspersky main window -> Gear bottom left -> Advanced -> uncheck "Open on-screen keyboard with Ctrl+Shift+Alt+P" and save the setting. Thanks a lot. However, this option does not exist (the only option is hardware virtualisiation): I was not able to respond in time due to the holidays and the ticket was closed. So, I have reopened another ticket and will update you with their response. -

I kept using your product even after i realized you charge more to the people renewing the licenses than the new buyers (i guess you think old customers are there to be milked)... I kept using your product even after i realized your servers were still inside Ruzzia even after you announced you left that bog (it was already paid, the damage was done).... I kept using your product even after your "quick scan" was shutting down my pc, and so often that it even ended up roasting my SSD (sent all of the evidence i had to support, mostly circumstantial mind you, even with a video and they couldn't believe it was their fault). But the last straw was having my pc restart constantly and without warning, completely randomly, and just because enabling the VPN (no logs, no nothing, not even system dumps!, months and months troubleshooting, I only made the connection that the pc was crashing/hanging/restarting ONLY AFTER i enabled the VPN and not at a set time but randomly afterwards, even if it wasn't already running... uninstalled and the pc has not restarted ever again since, ¿what the hell else are you doing to my pc that i don't know of?). You had a good product, the competition probably is not as good as your product, but it is definitely good enough to make the jump and just leave these licenses unused. I am trying really hard not to express all the expletives i think you deserve, but you just are not worth my time anymore. -

I could had a quick scan running on safe mode hard crash my system on demand, i even sent them the video. But sure, it is not destabilizing. And now my system is still not restarting randomly, i wonder why it is stable now.... So typing this was a massive waste of time. Thank you anyways. I bet Kaspersky is also grateful for your free service. -

It is up to the developers to find a satisfactory solution here. endqte Please log a case with Kaspersky support, either via Chat or Email, fill in Application malfunction, Other template. Support may request Logs, Traces & other Data, they will guide you. Also, it may help them if you provide a video of the issue. I'll assume that you are trying to run a standard LOCAL task on a specific device. When the devices are managed by the KSC server, this task on the client devices... seems to be disabled... create a GROUP task in the appropriate section (policies and tasks), specify the necessary settings, select the devices on which it should run, set a launch schedule and try to run it... -

В зависимости от настроек АВ, сработает либо веб-защита (когда включена проверка защищенных соединений и браузер поддерживается), либо после загрузки файл будет детектироваться файловым антивирусом (из-за оптимизации проверок, возможно, потребуется открыть папку с файлом и подождать или просто попробовать просканировать файл через контекстное меню). Префикс UDS (Urgent Detection System) в детекте как раз говорит о том, что срабатывает облачная защита. На всякий случай еще раз: ссылки и файлы на сайте не являются вредоносными и предназначены для проверки работоспособности компонентов защиты.

Hello @Riddick, Welcome! Good work doing the *extra* troubleshooting. Was the last PC *shutdown* normal? Is Kaspersky Premium configured to launch at computer start-up? What is the full Windows 10 OS & Build, in Windows Search - type WINVER - post back the results from the winver app please? Run a Database update - allow it to complete. Shutdown the PC using SHUTDOWN, not Restart, power on by pressing the power button, login, make sure Kaspersky is running & recheck System Audit for: Safe Browsing? Mail Anti-Virus? Firewall, Error? Network Attack Blocker? Please post back? Thank you? Flood?+? -
I just updated my pc and can't run Armory Crate or install AsusAI suite due to no AsIO3.sys file installed. Armory crate installs but doesn't launch. AISuite won't install at all. I tried reinstall it but didnt work. I think its caused by KIS. Most likely, the KIS detects this file as a threat. Any solutions for this or is it just need to be update? Win 11 23H2
