I booted a Windows 10 computer with the Kaspersky boot rescue disk. When performing a scan of two different Windows 10 systems with this Kaspersky boot disk, both time a Trojan named Trojan.Multi.GenAutorunReg.a was found, and it's categorized as a Fileless object. I'm confused how a fileless Trojan got on both systems when I was booting from the Kaspersky boot disk. Can someone explain? It makes it seem that there is an issue with the boot disk.

Hello, I would like to install either Zulucrypt or Veracrypt on Rescue Disk live session in order to scan an encrypted disk for malware. I’ve tried a few veracrypt .deb packages with dpkg -i terminal command so far without much success. Is it possible? I’m not a linux geek. Surely it should be possible with Kaspersky running Ubuntu.

@KAVuser You are welcome. Just run “Kaspersky Rescue Disk” or “Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool” , both tools will catch infected objects. If not yet done , download > install > scan HDD with Kaspersky Antivirus or Kaspersky Internet Security.

I need to burn and scan some contents of a suspect external drive. If there is no sandboxing/isolation already exists, then malware may infect the rest of the system’ hardware, attached storage, or network/router, right? Please explain what kind of sandboxing or application isolation does Kaspersky Rescue Disk provide, and if it is activated on boot or need user intervention? and for what applications? And if there is a safer way to copy/burn from this drive?

Kaspersky keeps detecting this as virus, but when I click on resolve button, it kind of only update the detection date and time. I’ve tried to remove it using Kaspersky Virus Removal tool, but it didn’t detect it on scan. Tried with rescue disk, and other brands tools like malwarebytes. None of them detected this. Should this be a false positive?

Nachtrag, durch das anklicken von CONTINUE in der im Anhang oben beigefügten Warnmeldung habe ich mir vermutlich das System beschädigt. Es funktionierte nichts mehr so richtig, obwohl das System eigentlich lief. Kein DISM, kein sfc, kein Löschen des letzten Funktionsupdates über WIN-Bootstick, keine Neuinstallation von WIN 10. Ich erhielt nur Fehlermeldungen. Glücklicherweise hatte ich eine Sicherung über Acronis erstellt und konnte eine Wiederherstellung des ganzen PCs durchführen. Übrigens, den Support hat das nicht interessiert da er die Kaspersky Rescue Disk nicht unterstützt, wäre Freeware.

Hi guys, I am struggling with Kaspersky Rescue Disk 18 and I can’t solved by googling, could you help? I am booting KRD and everything works fine until I choose Graphic mode --- fails; non-graphic mode --- fails; Hardware info --- fails == always with the same error, see screen. OS installed on PC: Win 10; used Rufus to burn .iso to USB. I have disabled the secure boot, tried all options in Rufus to burn,… without any results. Can’t even gather log - hardware info ends in the same error. What should I do? ty

Try using kaspersky rescue disk, as by definition, it removes viruses before startup.

Hi, I' ve testing both live-cds, Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 (KRD10) and Kaspersky Rescue Disk 2018 (KRD18). I have to scan mounted veracrypt-containers. I was able to install veracrypt in both versions and was able to scan a mounted conainer (e.g. /media/veracrypt1) in KRD10 by simply adding the folder to the scan-list. But KRD18 is different. While it has support for modern hardware, I was unable to scan a mounted veracrypt-container. I checked the scripts under /opt/KRD/ and they detect a veracrypt-container if it is NOT mounted (but encrypted). Everything works fine until krt.sh executes your binary (sorry forget the name). Your binary aka the virus scanner looks for the mounted volumes from the scripts. But it does not allow scanning veracrypt-volumes. It just ignores them. Any idea how I can scan veracrypt-containers in KRD18? Regards Tom

Современный Kaspersky Rescue Disk и так нельзя было обновить через Kaspersky Update Utility. Зачем вы использовали Kaspersky Update Utility? Возможно есть обходной путь.

Почему-то теперь в утилите Kaspersky Update Utility нет пункта обновить Kaspersky Rescue Disk!Это был для меня удобный способ. Теперь этого пункта не будет?

That's really weird. :confused: Either Rescue Disk doesn't have access to the OS, but the scan seems to run smoothly - or it's another technical bug. If nobody else finds a solution here, I advise you to contact technical support. Another idea: create a new bootable USB device with a fresh download of rescue disk 18 and try again... I might be a bit thick here but I can’t find anything in KIS 2020 to make a rescue disk, or USB drive. And I cannot find any instructions anywhere. I made a disk some years ago and would like to update it. Thank you for any advice.

So i’ve reset my computer a few times already but i always seem to get these problems: My Windows Defender app & browser control and virus & threat protection would always be off whenever i would turn on my computer.Task Host Window would prevent from shutting down my computer.I have gotten 2 ransomware on my discord even after resetting my computer. (Almost as if it was waiting on my system to attack.)I think my registry editor is probably messed up.I also performed a full scan and i got these 4 objects not processed: My last resort would be using kaspersky rescue disk.

Затем скачать файлик INITRD_N24.1.GZ в облаке https://yadi.sk/d/j9JEtqwdk2VY3A и положить в kaspersky/boot/grub, а так же создать md5 файла kernel.dat в той же папке что и данный файл, что бы получилось kernel.dat.md5. Hello, I’m booting from Kaspersky Rescue Disk. I’m trying to scan a dvd\cd which is connected to a usb port but the disc is not recognized as a parameter under “change parameter”. I can see the disc and the data in the disc and i can mount disc to somewhere else like (mnt/KRD2018/Volumes) and use the disc but i can’t scan the disc. Is it possible to manually add folder to scan? something like scan /path/to/folder/to/scan? is there some special way or place i need to mount my disc in order to scan it? One note, if i connect a regular USB Drive it is recognized and i’m able to scan it. Please help me.

kaspersky rescue disk 18 usb bootable get blank screen after selecting language ( English) and graphics mode. Usb bootable was mounted with Rufus 3.13. Machine - Dell inspiron 15 5500, processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz 1.38 GHz. Mounting setting partition scheme MBR, file system FAT32. USB drive 8 GB. Please advise !

Прочитал много статей, ответа не нашел. Может тут помогут. Записал Kasperksy Rescue Disk по инструкции через Rufus на флешку. Пробовал разные схемы раздела MBR/GPT, менял флешки. Загружается касперский с флешки, выбираю язык, потом любой из трех режимов (графический, ограниченный графический, инфо об оборудовании) и далее черный экран. Перезагружаюсь потом с помощью ctrl+alt+delete держа пару секунд. Ноутбук Huawei Matebook D15 (номер модели: bohl-wdq9).
