Hello @Spection, Welcome. I don't think it's a really good idea. By sharing access you can scan a lot of files, but KAV will not be able to access the important system files and system drivers. With these it is important that their behavior is also monitored for suspicious actions. There are restrictions from within a VM, which is what a VM is for. If you only want to do an on demand scan, the 'Kaspersky Rescue Disk' might be the better solution. KRD also scans files that you can't reach from the VM. PS: KAV runs well with your firewall. When installing KAV, you can also skip the suggested uninstall.

Тема, как видно по форуму, не новая, но решения, похоже еще нет. Kaspersky Rescue Disk - загружается сначала нормально, но при выборе любого пункта меню (второй экран) ноут виснет и черный экран. На других компьютерах та же флешка работает нормально. Пробовал разные режимы и методы создания флешки, картина не меняется. Ноут Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 2 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz Model: 20X2S34G00 (31P20X2S34G00) Надежда есть? А также есть ли коммерческий продукт с такой же функциональностью (Live USB)?

I have the same problem on my Probook 450 G7 as described in LinkKaspersky rescue disk stopped booting on “setup hwsetup” message. And after that, I was not able to restart the laptop at all! Pressing power button turned it into sleep state and pressing again just recovers laptop to black screen with 100% fan rotating. That is a shame for Kaspersky in my opinion, both that the tool is not starting on laptop that is 1.5 years old and that it blocks laptop from further operation. Thanks to HP there is an option to press power button for 15+ seconds so I was able to rescue from KRD blocking the laptop. p.s. by the way, the KRD initially just did not boot with same diagnosis as described https://github.com/ventoy/Ventoy/issues/65 so I had to set check_signatures=no.

Hello I can launch the rescue disk from the USB thumbstick but when I try to launch the Kasperky Rescue Tool it will not launch, nothing happens. I tried to double click the icon and also right click then execute but nothing happens. I tried from the limited graphic mode option also and the same result. The only thing I can do from the GUI is restart it. I attached the hardware information file to this thread. My aim was to scan UEFI for any embedded malware or rootkits. Also I have Kaspersky AV is that sufficient enough to scan UEFI for malware or rootkits? Forgot to mention getting these errors in popup boxes: plugin “Date Time” unexpectedly left panel plugin “Keyboard Layouts” unexpectedly left panel plugin “CPU Graph” unexpectedly left the panel Also I was able to launch the USB from another PC and it had me accept a EULA agreement. The computer I can’t launch it from did not have the EULA agreement on the screen… maybe its a resolution issue and the EULA is not on the screen for me to accept. Only thing I can think of is to disable my Video card in EUFI and plug directly into the integrated graphics port...unless there is another way to change resolution on the fly without me disabling my graphics card…. ??? Hello, I’m searching to eradicate a rootkit in an ACER Aspire XC600 under Windows 10. So I use the Live disk Kaspersky Rescue Disk. Does it scan for rootkits including scan of UEFI ? Thanks

I appreciate your time and reply, thank you. Yes, I have read all Kaspersky instructions and your website link. I am very familiar with using BIOS, and have always had it set to legacy mode, and to boot from a CD/DVD first. I cannot try to see or disable if a UEFI Secure Boot because I cannot access the BIOS. My computer's BIOS at boot, is a Black Screen without any text at all, and the monitor stays in a sleep mode. Otherwise the computer starts up and loads like normal except black, and seems not able to find anything that is Windows. I have tried to use the keys to get into BIOS at startup without any success and it is useless. I have tried to boot with my Retail Windows install CDs, also with Windows Repair Floppy 3.5 disk, and Windows7 repair CD disk, Also with EasyRE CDs, with NO success, none of any Windows repair disks will boot up. So far now, I can boot my computer with only *SELECTIVE* DVD/CDs: Bitdefender rescue disk boots up but i cant get past the PW, Trend Micro Rescue Disk boots up and I was able to run a very long malware check, about 2-3hrs, and i see it checking ALL my WindowsXP3 and Windows7 files as it scans everything, I even tried to reset the MBR, but no change. Then ESET rescue disk boots up and i get a very nice looking UI desktop, and i do selective or all malware scans, plus tools, but so far cant fix problem. This problem started right after Kaspersky found and cleaned the Trojan.Win32.Ramnit.dto Kaspersky did lots of cleaning and updating and requested reboot, after reboot, first the BIOS was missing and only a blue boot menu, then next reboot, no boot menu, Booting was black until it reached 2nd BIOS phase and monitor came on out of a sleep mode just as Windows loaded up, Then after a week nothing was able to load anymore. Now only a few *selective* rescue disks that i mentioned above will boot, and from what i see is these are a ubuntu type.

Когда я загружаюсь с аварийного CD-диска Kaspersky Rescue Disk не получается обновить его базы, т,к,почему-то не работает WI-FI в среде Linux(не получается настроить!).Поэтому раньше с помощью Kaspersky Update Utility на компе обновлял базы и загружал потом на Kaspersky Rescue Disk и он был всегда актуален!Сейчас этот способ не работает!Значит надо постоянно новую версию образа?Неудобно!

Не могу создать загрузочный USB c Kaspersky Rescue Disk 18. При создании ни Rufus ни win32-disk-imager не видят файл krd.iso.

hello. First time using Kaspersky Rescue Disk. First time trying to rescue a computer period. The trouble i’m having is this… I have a lenovo b570 laptop. It would not access bios or boot from usb/cd/dvd. I removed the hdd, and it booted right into kaspersky rescue disk. So, as i’m following suggestions, i attempt to run the update before a system scan, and it of course does not have a disk drive to use. So, my curiosity has me questioning whether or not to place the hdd back into it’s spot and see if it picks up on it? -or- is that a big no-no? I’m tech savy enough to feel confident in myself in following some direction on what to do, so long as it’s nothing like the blind leading the blind. 😉 Should i need to get additional information on here, Please advise. Hallo! Vorweg: Win 7 64 bit, KIS 2019, Firefox Ich habe gestern arglos auf noctua(punkt)at (= Hersteller von PC-Hardware) herumgesurft. Unabsichtlich habe ich dabei auf die chinesische Sprachversion der Seite geklickt (Die Website blieb gleich (.at), nur eben auf chinesisch). Plötzlich poppten jedoch 2 Firefox-Downloadfenster auf. Ich klickte sofort auf "Abbrechen" und schloss die Seite. Ich war jedoch so dumm und wollte es "genauer" wissen: Erneut Chinaversion der Seite geöffnet, wieder 2 Downloadfenster. Angeblich wären es SWF-Dateien gewesen (laut Wikipedia Shockwave Flash), Quelle: youku(punkt)com (= Chinesenpendent zu Youtube). Dann natürlich wieder auf Abbrechen geklickt. Ich ging jedoch wieder auf die deutschsprachige Version der Seite und bemerkte, dass sie ziemlich langsam lud. - Kurze Randnotiz: Ich habe weder Flash noch Java installiert. - Gleich danach habe ich eine Schnelle und eine Vollständige Untersuchung ausgeführt und mir Malwarebytes (ohne Abo) heruntergeladen und ebenfalls gescannt. Resultat: nirgendwo ein Fund, auch kein Eintrag in den Berichten, dass KIS etwas entdeckt, blockiert oder gemacht hätte. Irgendwie habe ich trotzdem ein mulmiges Gefühl, da mir bei früheren Downloads aufgefallen ist, dass Firefox, obwohl ich noch nicht auf "Datei speichern" geklickt habe, schon beginnt herunterzuladen und irgendwo zwischenzuspeichern. Das einzige Auffällige ist, dass der Arbeitsspeicher im Leerlauf subjektiv gefühlt höher ausgelastet ist (1.67 GB statt ~1 +/- 0.2 GB) und es einen svchost(punkt)exe-Prozess mit ~167.000K gibt. Was meint ihr, habe ich mir etwas eingefangen? Hättet ihr noch irgendwelche Tipps für mich? Ich bin noch am Überlegen, ob ich das Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool oder die Rescue Disk herunterladen und ausführen soll. Apropos Rescue Disc: Ich habe noch eine KIS2016 CD mit einer älteren Version der Rescue Disk darauf herumliegen. Kann ich die auch noch verwenden oder sollte ich mir eine neue bootbare DVD mit der aktuellen Version erstellen? Kann man sich unter Win7 oder 10 die DVD auch ohne die auf der Support-Seite aufgeführten Programme erstellen? Die scheinen mir persönlich nicht gerade vertrauenswürdig und dementsprechend ist meine Freude, das Zeug herunterzuladen und zu installieren, nicht gerade groß. Kurze Frage zu Scans/Untersuchungen allgemein: Stimmt es, dass man Untersuchungen besser mit aktiver Internetverbindung laufen lassen sollte? Normalerweise trenne ich nämlich die Verbindung, wenn ich länger "afk" bin und die Vollständige Untersuchung ausführe. Gilt das auch für das Virus Removal Tool, die Rescue Disk und Malwarebytes, dass die Verbindung aktiv sien soll? Hello guys, I burned the krd.iso file on a DVD RW disc with the anyburn tool. Then I entered the UEFI/UEFI with CSM/LEGACY chosen for LEGACY I set the CD/DVD startup option to be the first startup. The security control is not shown in the legacy mode and should therefore not be selected. Save & reset with F10 key and rebooted. The green screen of kaspersky rescue disk emerged and now it had succeeded in making a bootable Kaspersky rescue disk dvd+rw disk. grtz, Gilberto

I am a long time user of KAspersky Total Security and Kaspersky Rescue Disk. In particular, I’ve been using KRD10 for awhile now, and wish to upgrade to KRD18, but I’ve been having a terrible time with the download: https://rescuedisk.s.kaspersky-labs.com/updatable/2018/krd.iso The Issue I’m having is that the download is extraordinarily slow (between .5KB/s and 16KB/s) and always fails. I have in 4 days not been able to download the ISO image of Kaspersky Rescue Disk 18. This occurs despite my having contacted my ISP to determine whether or not the problem is with my internet connection. Downloads from other sites do not present this issue. My question is this - Are there any mirror sites (perhaps located in South Africa or Europe) from which I can legally download Kaspersky Rescue Disk 18 without trouble?

Hello. Network drive scanning is not supported in Kaspersky Rescue Disk. For this you should use Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool.

I have a local NAS and mapped it to a network drive on Windows Explorer. It is set to reconnect automatically on boot. It doesn’t have any passwords configured to access. Kaspersky Rescue Disk cannot see them. Can KRD scan it? How do I configure it?

@Vlazn в данном случае нужно чуть больше информации: Каким именно способом записывали флешку? Какая версия Rufus? ISO или DD режим? Название и характеристики устройства, трассировки проблемы и отчет с устройства. Разработчики Kaspersky Rescue Disk ( @Yury N. , @Andrey Kirzhemanov ) посмотрят и скажут в чем может быть проблема.
