  1. the streamer was “connected” with wi-fi but I didn’t see it in network, so I added a direct connection with ethernet cable and it still doesn’t see it.

Since a streamer is a kind of computer (entertainment compuer without screen keyboard or mouse but with picture viewer and audio video players) I suspected the AV

but since I tried everything I’ll try to search the router

    many thanks for your help

  2. thank you again, Igor

Troubles didn’t start after installing Kaspersky AV, In fact I haven’t installed it for years since every year I renew my license and Kaspersky updates. This year it was a bit different. When I entered my new license it added my license instead of increasing my remaining days over 365 like it did last year but this is irrelevant to my problem.

all wi-fi and wired devices  are on the same network hence there is no \\streamername

using the IP address of streamer yields nothing

I tried pausing protection for 30 minutes and it didn’t help

I’, reluctant to exit Kaspersky since I don’t know how to set it back

Removing Kaspersky is out of the question

Since you didn’t comment on SSL 2.0 and hardware virtualization (Kaspersky settings) I understand that these are also irrelevant

    Thank you again

I’ll try to see if it has anything to do with my modem-router and security issues. Maybe I need forwarding for the streamer

  3. Hello again

Tried to ping the IP address and for a response from another IP that destination is unreachable

I suppose the answer was from my router

Maybe the streamer has to be open?

I see the receiver (also wired from router) even when it is closed

I have an application for the streamer remote on my phone demanding the streamer IP and it works!

So maybe it has something to do with the router and I have to do forwarding for the streamer

    thank you

  4. thank you Igor for your prompt answer

1 I used to access the streamer through explorer (there are audio and video files on the streamer)

3 I tried to pause protection for 30 minutes but it didn’t help

as for 2 I have to learn how to ping so it will take a day or two

In Kaspersky AV settings → network settings → block connections over SSL 2.0 connections is checked as recommended. Does it concern only browsing or anything that has something to do with files like the streamer? should I uncheck it?

and on settings → additional protection using hardware virtualization is also checked

can this prevent the display of streamer in network?

    Thanks again

  5. Than you FLOOD

I don’t know how to address Kaspersky technical support

    Yes, I reinstalled KAV 2020

since the problem is solved the isuue is closed and I see no points in sending reports

I do believe that I had a trojan in c:\windows\system32\tasks that KAV detected. in fact two!

Now I’m updated in both KAV & RF and all is quiet in this front

thank you so much for your enormous help but the real turnpoint came from RF forum when someone remarked that the file I complained above is NOT a RF file, so I let KAV “disinfect” it and the problem was solved. BTW the file is still there, it is editable (xml) and its content is innocent enough

    Thanks again

  6. Greetings

let me begin with a proof:

this proves that Kaspersky 2020 suspected that c:\windows\system32\tasks\run roboform process is infected. it is not the former file I complained above. moreover it is not a roboform file at all. I compared to previous version file which was clean and there are 2 differences: date and version. other than that it is a readable & editable xml file.

    another proof is this:

I let Kaspersky “disinfect” the file without restart and now I’m in KAV 2020 and roboform 8.6.6.7

but still puzzled why no one before tackled this problem

    many thanks to all

    you have been most helpful

  7. this is a very long process

I need a lot of time for that

my KAV now is 20.0.14.1085 and updated to today (it is updated every day)

as for the support issue: rf support says that the xml files does not contain any trojan (it is an editable file and I read it thoroughly and there’s nothing suspicious in it)

kav support is you… recommended moving to kav2020 and I got the same warning

I tried to exclude the file but it didn’t help hence I rolled back

I have the everywhere version of rf so it synchronizes passwords to its server back and forth so maybe kav views it as infiltration of some kind. I know nothing about hacking but it doesn’t look serious. gmail also connects and brings mails from the google server

the problem is not solved but I can work with rf 8.6.6.6

    many thanks

  8. neither of the programs is free. all are bought and legitimate and licensed

I suspect that roboform does the same as Kaspersky password manager so maybe there is a conflict. I didn’t install K password manager but its icon appeared (maybe ready for installation)

I wonder why the upgrade to KAV2020 didn’t help

luckily roboform 8.6.6.6 works fine (everywhere version)

Roboform support team says it’s Kaspersky problem and indeed I got the “trojan” file from a friend who upgraded and compared and found minor differences (location, computer name etc)

but this friend doesn’t work with Kaspersky….

to sum the case I rolled back to where I was few days ago and everything works

    thanks again
