  1. Dear Kaspersky employees,

I think there are two modifications that need to be added to KSC features:

    1) The "Key Usage" report should be more intelligent in a way that the KSC server would recognize aggregated number of devices using the license. Now, if you add a single purchased license in both forms of "activation code" and "key file" (provided by supplier), KSC server will consider them separately with two different SN. This is a shortcoming since you will NOT be notified the excess use of license!

    2) In the KSC Web Console, on the main dashboard, it is much better to make it possible to assign a custom title to widgets in order to enhance readbility.

    Thanks for your kind attention,

    Hi,

I found out the problem. As a matter of fact, there have been some devices which are depricated and moved to "Unassigned Devices". KSC still take them into account and consider them in "Kasperky Licenses" whereas web console only counts the devices in "Managed Devices" section. I deleted deprecated devices and now both reports are the same.

    Hi. Sure.

Please see the picture below (also attached):

I wanted to activate KSWS on my servers. But KSWSs were not getting activated using activation code. Hence, I asked the supplier to provide me with the corresponding key file. Then I added it to the repository as well. Now, as you can see, there are differences between usage shown on web console and on KSC. Besides, I have to keep total usage of them manually because they are actually one license. These are my issues while coping with key usage. I would be thankful if you could help me.

    Thanks

Yes it is. Kaspersky Lab is quite loyal to this issue, but you must understand that this is a violation of the agreement of use. choose one activation method and stick to the total number of devices according to the contract - otherwise, this can most likely become a license revocation ... although this is extremely rare.

Please consult with your Kaspersky Lab manager on this matter.

Actually I asked it in order to avoid unwanted license agreement violation. Thanks for your help.

However, why is not there any mechanism on KSC to detect it? It is so critical and necessary for Kaspersky admins in corporates. Now, I have to keep the total usage of my license in two forms manually.

  5. Hi,

I have a license added to repository on KSC in forms of activation code and key file as well. It seems KSC is not detecting the total number of used license s correctly. Now the license limit is 100 devices whereas there are 100 devices activated using activation code and 50 clients are activated using the key file corresponding to the activation code. How can I check the real usage of my purchased license? (The numbers are for example in this post)

    Thanks

  6. Dear all,

I have understood that the folder C:\ProgramData\KasperskyLab\adminkit\1093\.working\FTServer is using lots of space and is growing gradually. I am not using my KSC server as WSUS server. Does it suffice to uncheck the following settings?

  7. Dear Friends,

I have just installed the latest version of KSC 14. I can not find the following tasks to create:

    * Administration Server maintenance

    * Backup of Administration Server data

    * Download updates to the Administration Server repository

Are they renamed or removed from the console in the latest version?

    Thanks

I found the solution. At first, I decided to try another option. I created a remote installation package and also a stand-alone installer of Kavremover. In the "stand-alone packages" window I selected "Save as" and I could save another copy into "KLSHARE" folder. Finally, it turned out that KLSHAE folder can be modified when you access it through local directory (e.g. C:\....). But when you access it through UNC path, you won't be able to modify it. ?
