Isn't this program supposed to work alongside your AV software?

[Installation Fails / Windows 7 Home Premium]

I have tried to install the software but it keeps failing to install. Windows 7 computer. Have Avast Free installed but with all shields turned off and the install still files. It basically goes half way and then has to roll it back. Any fixes?
