• Patch C distribution began on the 29th of October 2020 & completed on the 8th of October 2020. 

1. If you still do not have patch C, please post back?
2. If you have patch C & the high CPU issue persists, please post back?

Hello. Thank you very much, patch C is now installed here. I have been monitoring Task Manager now and then, Kaspersky seems to be behaving well now! No high CPU issues here for now.

Same here! Patch C seemed to fix it! I’ll update this if the issue appears again.

[CPU Usage unusually high since Kaspersky 2021 update]

For me the issue always starts after the system has been running for almost exactly 15 mins. I’ve been corresponding with support since my post here, and yesterday they said this:

Good news as our team have identified a bug that is expected to be fixed with the upcoming patch c of the 2021 application. It's not 100% confirmed yet, but seems like it will be started publishing next week, so it should become available to all our customer base, within the next 2-3 weeks.

I have the same issue since the 2021 update. Kaspersky spins the CPU on 35-40% almost constantly. I tried doing a clean uninstall, but it didn’t solve the problem. I’m not using any of the Kaspersky browser addons, and the phenomenon doesn’t seem to be tied to if my browser is running or not. (I’m using the free program version, not sure if I should open a new thread instead on that subforum.)

I ran into this issue too, during installation Kaspersky Security Cloud 20 Free marked Sumo as an incompatible product, and I had to actively opt out from uninstalling it.
