  1. My 2019 Macbook Pro burnt out the other day and I had to get another drive. Fortunately, I had a time machine backup to restore from. However, that hasn't gone as I had hoped. Finally got my Apple ID but Microsoft Outlook crashes on loading. I googled and found that Kaspersky and a VPN I had installed could be the problem. I exited the latter and tried to uninstall Kaspersky Internet Security to no avail. I have a zerob file (locked) in the Application folder. Can anybody suggest how I can unlock this thing in order to trash it and if there is anything else that I am missing in not being able to access Microsoft Outlook? Thanking you in advance Sabina Tokyo, Japan
  2. I've been bedridden for the last 3 three months and unable to update the latest KIV which I finally bought last week. When I bought and installed the new version It still only shows the daily rundown of 4 days at this point. I have already uninstalled and re-download to see what I may have done wrong but nothing seems to point out. Can somebody please help me? Sister Sabina Tokyo Japan
  3. Thank you. I have sent off a request and will provide the feedback here when it is available. Sabina
  4. Kaspersky keeps coming up with a sign saying that it couldn’t ”launch the previous session" correctly. I have gotten the two crash files created but can't see where I can send them to. Can anybody enlighten me please? I keep pressing the "send" button but it doesn't resolve the problem. I add that my KIS is in Japanese. Also I can’t add the files here because it says that this type of file is not supported. Sabina
  5. Just reporting back. After many failed attempts to install BigSlur 11.2 today(finally found that Kaspersky was blocking my connection and thus did an “exist”) all has now been rectified. Adobe Stock is showing up nicely, I have my activated fonts, my emoji, etc. etc. So, yes, it was Apple that needed to fix the problem which they appear to have. One very happy person. Thank you Danila. Sabina
  6. How long do you foresee Apple rectifying this issue? It is extremely annoying when you pay such prices for a subscription to Adobe and then can’t use it fully due to antivirus software or something like Little Snitch.
  7. Well, thank you for that information. I certainly can’t install any Adobe application or do any searches for assets with KIS active. Always have to shut it down. After uninstalling Little Snitch and/or CISCO (not sure what that is) and restarting Mac is it ok to reinstall Little Snitch again? I have rules that I certainly use that I wouldn’t want to loose. Thanking you Sabina
  8. Ok, I clicked your link and took a screenshot of “Adobe Creative Cloud” and added that to the “trusted sites”. Is that the right way to do it? Thanking you once again. Sabina
  9. The last box which I put that link in is the: “Internet payment protection” so messed up there. I will go through each one and see what I can come up with in the meantime. Sabina
  10. Sorry for my late reply. I just checked the forum and found your answer. Hm! Where is the “KIS Trusted Zone” please? I have a Japanese KIS and not sure where you mean. I have added the following to trusted sites if thats what you mean. https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud.html I’m not sure whether I should get in touch with the Japanese KIS support but last time I did, it took them days before they got back to me. This is what my preferences looks like, if you can tell me where I should be adding Adobe Creative Cloud please, it sure would help? I added the above line to the bottom check box. I am truly sorry for putting you to this trouble but it is annoying each time I try to download fonts, etc. when I am paying a rather large monthly subscription for Adobe and I can’t use it as I should be able to. Thanking you Sr. Sabina
  11. I am using a MacBook Pro 16 inch 2019 running the latest version of BigSlur and have Little Snitch also installed. However, I have noticed that I have no connection to Adobe Creative Cloud when KIS is active. When I terminate KIS I can connect to Adobe and it runs perfectly. I have created a rule in Little Snitch allowing for a connection between KIS and Adobe but still I can no longer download applications, install fonts or have access to stock photos. Can any body suggest what the next step should be please. Having to disconnect KIS each time I want to connect to Adobe Creative Cloud is rather a nuisance. Thanking you in advance, Sr. Sabina
  12. Thank you for your reply. After two uninstalls and reinstall of KIS the matter rectified itself automatically thank goodness. Regards Sr. Sabina
  13. I upgraded my MacBook Pro 16 inch to Big Sur yesterday and after having problems getting Security and Privacy to accept my "system enhancement" I now can’t get Kaspersky Internet Security (latest version) to connect to the internet in order to do an “update of definitions”. When I go to “My Kaspersky” web site is shows that, in fact, my MacBook Pro is not connected to the net and therefore I am unable to update. I also can not for the life of me get Kaspersky to accept my “hard drive” in order to do either a “quick scan” or “full scan”. Can anybody suggest how I can solve this issue please? I have a strong wifi connection and am experiencing no problems with other applications connecting to the web. Thanking you in advance Sabina Tokyo, Japan
  14. I’m no expert, however, I had a similar problem and my scans never seem to complete. Or at least, they took for days. Do you have any of the Adobe applications installed? There are some of their software which is protected which means that you have to “skip” each one of them. Thus, you can’t leave KIS to do its thing and go away and do something else. You have to virtually sit beside your pc clicking on each item. Also do you know that you can add those items which you don’t want to include in your “full scan” which makes it quicker also. Not sure whether that makes sense or if it is of any use to you. 15. No, it was kind of a joke. London says change your pc language over to English (which it is) then follow what Japanese technical support requested. Then come back to us with that file which I had been able to produce for even you. So I was no better off. Turned to Apple community and they tell me I don’t need an antivirus at all and that it was most likely put in there by KIS in the first place. A total disaster and a good laugh if it wasnt funny. Looking back now, it comes as a comedy in these dire times.
  16. Hi, just reporting as to what has been happening and to let you know that, as of this moment and after 4 backups on Carbon Copy Cloner, the “adware” problem which I was having has, miraculously disappeared and that my MacBook Pro is running ever so smoothly with TIME MACHINE, CCC and KIS coexisting just nicely. Nearly 3 weeks now all told. Japan KIS technical support got in touch because 7 days had passed since my initial request for help. They forwarded me onto London support. Not much help though. In the meantime I had uninstalled KIS on the recommendation of people at the Apple community group. Reinstalled KIS on my own initiative, ran CCleaner many times, MALB and problem gone. Thank you so much for all your help and for not having given up. Sr. Sabina Tokyo Now a very happy KIS user
  17. Sorry it took me this long to get back to you. Had to do a google for “Activity Monitor” is in order to check. According to the monitor all Safari items are at 0 in and out. However, CCleaner always has a heap of Safari stuff when I do an analyze. And that is even when I never use it. Have included a screenshot of what CCleaner always brings up in regards. I have included the .txt file and will try to get the zipped file of the other data. Hopefully KIS is generous with such big transfers. I also had further feedback from MBAM to the effect: “ In addition to my last email, there is also a proxy setting that you may want to remove it if not needed. For that, Go to > System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Proxies Uncheck whatever is checked so that it sets to default Restart computer.
  18. Thank you for your kind words. I am noted for my determination even if it is to the detriment of my health at times. I did as you suggested and reinstalled both CCleaner and MBAM. Reason being, CCC on its backup this afternoon triggered the same “adware in Safari”. Despite never using Safari and the CCC external drive having been reformatted at the weekend. I just “quarantined” the one which I wasn’t given any other option, and deleted the one which I could. I guess I just have to take your word and treat “adware” as something which I need to be aware off. There was, though, no option to export a “report”. Even though I do know whether the little export button lies now. Will see if I can get a report tomorrow. Yes, I have now reconnected both Time Machine and CCC. That was after the full scan this morning. Just checked your /Library/Application Support/Kaspersky Lab/KAV/Data/Report and, guess what? There are 4 Folders, then 4 .dat files and a “report.rpt” The last one is only 17kb though. Do you want me to send these to you to look at? And if so, what is the best way to send them? The reports are 18.1mb compressed
  19. The result is as before. I uninstalled MBAM and CCleaner, uninstalled KIS and then reinstalled it. KIS did its full scan without incident but it absolutely refuses to export a report. Shows KIS is “not responding”. I give up. I will be satisfied at this stage now after all of this that, if I don’t have an abnormality on a weekly full scan of KIS then so be it. This version is a 10 license version (for the congregation) and I’m not sure for how many years that license runs for. However, I think I will just have to rethink when KIS is due for renewal to choose something more compatible. Many thanks for all your time and effort. I truly do thank you. I believe that we have exhausted all avenues at this point. Sr. Sabina PS. forgot to say that I had also unplugged both Time Machine and CCC.
  20. Yes, the flckering has stopped. It stopped the very next day after it appeared. The tech could only put it down to having too much running at the same time: e.g. two backup software, full virus scan, an OS upgrade to say the least. And I think it just wanted a night’s sleep. No, no report whatsoever can be exported. It just hangs “KIS is not responding”. I have been running the temp cleanup steps consistently just in case that was the problem. Will now uninstall KIS I did run KIS this morning with neither Time Machine nor CCloner working but will do again. BTW, fortunately, this mornings run didn’t find anything out of the ordinary and MAL reported nothing out of the normal, except to say that I had too many antivirus and the like installed. LOL
  21. Well after leaving my MacBook Pro in the pc clinic for 2 days, they couldnt find anything wrong with it. Now I’m having trouble with KIS scans. KIS keep “not responding” after say 19% or even 50% way through the “full scan”. I have since, unplugged both CCCloner and Time Machine which allowed the scan to proceed through to 100% after 4 hrs. But now, KIS refuses to export the final report. It just hangs there with the typical MAC spinning and refusing to budge.
  22. I have eventually found the report icon which you are talking about. But unless I get another indication of that adware notice before 10am our time I won’t be able to report back to you unfortunately. MacBook off to doctors and it most likely won’t be back for a day or two as we are sending it in rather than taking it in ourselves.
  23. That image appeared around lunchtime. No, I’m not using Safari at all. I have both Chrome and Firefox installed. I have absolutely no idea how that Safari entry was generated. It certainly wasn’t through my doing. Unfortunately you can’t delete Safari completely even if you wanted to. But I will certainly deleted what is in CCleaner if thats ok with you. No, that’s not the main window. I have attached the “preferences” window. In order: Protection Scan not sure what the lightening bolt is Kaspersky Security Network Update Privacy Browser Information - here there are 2 items: 1. report - record also non-urgent events. 2. send report automatically to KIS when errors occur but in both the two later error reports there is nowhere to “export” a file.
  24. I’m currently experience serious pc problems - display seems to be giving up the ghost. Maybe the motherboard as well. Fortunately, I just bought a new Macbook Pro 16inch a couple of weeks ago but that has displayed not problems in regards to these problems which I have been discussing here. Both TIME MACHINE and CCC are backed up there.
