  1. Hello, my Dad's phone is protected by my Kaspersky Premium subscription and he's dropped it and smashed the screen. The cost of repair means it makes more sense for him to get a new phone. All 5 devices on my Kaspersky subscription are used up. Is it going to be possible to disconnect his broken phone from My Kaspersky and add his new phone without issue? Thank You Sid
  2. Hello, I bought Kaspersky Premium for 5 devices for 2 years and because I got it from Amazon there is no auto renewal, which is what I want. But in 2 years time when the activation is about to expire, if I purchase Kaspersky Premium from Amazon again, can I just add the new 2 year activation code to My Kaspersky and it'll just carry on for another 2 years, or would I need to do something else. Thank You Sid
  3. Hello Flood, I received a reply from KCS and it turns out there is no auto renewal when you buy from Amazon. I'll attach an image of the email I received for yours and other readers convenience. Thank You Sid
  4. Thanks again Flood for replying. Yes that is my question and that is the answer from I'm assuming somebody from Kaspersky. I can't see Amazon letting somebody who answers questions on their website, claim to be from Kaspersky if they're not. If I log into Amazon and go to the same place, it says the reply is from Kaspersky Manufacturer. I'll attach an image I got using the snipping tool. I get what you are saying, but my question mentioned no time frame and I assumed that the answer wasn't specific to just a one year licence, I took it as he/she was using a one year licence as an example. Anyway, I've contacted Kaspersky Customer Service as advised and I'll keep you posted on what happens. Thank You Sid
  5. Sorry if this reply comes through twice, but I posted it about 20 minutes ago and then realized I'd made a typo so I edited it, but the edited version has been waiting to be approved by a moderator for 20 minutes, so no idea what's gong on there. Thanks for your replies and here is a link to Amazon where I bought the 2 year subscription. If you click on the ratings just underneath where it says Kaspersky Premium 2023 ¦ 5 Devices etc... there's 10 ratings at the moment, it will scroll down and you will see questions that have been asked and answered. There you should see my question about auto renewal. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kaspersky-Advanced-Security-Anti-Phishing-Unlimited/dp/B0BP1GDYB2/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2G4DP9RDVVGJI&keywords=kaspersky&qid=1684004118&sprefix=kaspersky%2Caps%2C90&sr=8-1&th=1 If I've been lied to and auto renewal is ON, can you tell me how to cancel it please. I've looked this up and found instructions on how to do this when you've bought it from various places, but not if you've bought it from Amazon. My concern is I got this from Amazon for £33.99, and in two years time auto renewal will probably be over £100 and I'm not willing to pay that. Thank You Sid
  6. Hello, I bought a 2 year subscription for Kaspersky Premium for 5 devices from Amazon, and I asked a question about auto renewal. I got a reply and it says it's from "Kaspersky Manufacturer" and the reply states there is no auto renewal which is what I want. So my question is, if I let my subscription run out in 2 years time does Kaspersky Premium stop working altogether or does it revert to the basic version or the free version ? Thank You Sid
  7. I've set the databases to update on application startup after 1 minute, so one minute after Windows loads it updates the databases. So I only need to disable Shadow Defender when there's an application update, which doesn't happen that often. I'll probably disable Shadow Defender once a week and then the databases don't get too far behind. Not what I wanted ideally, but not bad at all, I can definitely live with that. Sid
  8. Thanks for your reply @Schulte. I think you are right, just the registry bit now makes me doubt my idea. Oh well I'll just have to disable Shadow Defender before I update Kaspersky. Thanks for your help ...
  9. Hello, I'm using Kaspersky Premium alongside Shadow Defender which is a reboot to restore security solution. Basically any changes made to my C drive are deleted when I reboot. You can exclude folders in Shadow Defender so changes made to those folders will not be deleted when I reboot, and I would like to exclude all the folders that Kaspersky uses on C so as Kaspersky can work as intended without me having to turn Shadow Defender off, then update Kaspersky and then turn Shadow Defender back on. I've tried excluding the following folders which includes any sub folders but Kaspersky doesn't remain up to date. For example I can update the databases manually, but then I reboot and it's as if I didn't update the databases. C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Kaspersky Lab\ C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab C:\Program Files\Common Files\AV C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab Setup Files C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab If there are any more folders on C that Kaspersky uses that I should exclude so as Kaspersky works as intended alongside Shadow Defender I would really appreciate it if someone could let me know. Thank You Sid
