  2. Hello @Francesco Cinque. Please check if there are any leftovers of Kaspersky products, pending Windows updates, uncompleted installations/uninstallations or so in your operating system. Try to use Kavremover tool and restart the OS.
  3. Hello @Sassy36. The update for KART was released several days ago. Please restart the operating system to complete the update procedure. Version will change to 5.0.0.1807(c)
  4. @razes Hello. You can set up password for the application. As soon as you set the password it will be required to change settings or uninstall the application. The first user who will set up password will become an “administrator”. This setting is not related to the type of user in Windows. The admin password is not set by default, so you will have an access to all product’s settings. Please note, that KART is not an anti-virus scanner. It provides real-time protection against ransomware instead and monitors activity of applications in the system. You can use “manage apps” feature to add specific apps to trusted. You cannot add the whole folder (and subfolders) to exclusions.

  6. @Vitaly Продукт бесплатный. Назовите пожалуйста номер версии продукта Anti-Ransomware. Вполне вероятно что у вас одна из старых версий, для которых наступил End Of Life. Автоматическое обновление с версии на версию в продукте к сожалению не предусмотрено. Защита продолжит функционировать, но базы обновляться не будут. Вы можете скачать новую версию с сайта https://www.kaspersky.com/anti-ransomware-tool, она более функциональна чем старая версия, и тоже бесплатная.

Please collect and send us (e.g. as attachment here) ETW traces: 1.Preparation steps for Windows 7/8/8.1, Server 2008R2/2012(R2): install ADK for Windows 8.1, during install choose Windows Performance Toolkit only or install Windows Performance Toolkit using standalone installers: WPTx86-x86_en-us.msi for 32-bit versions of Windows, WindowsWPTx64-x86_en-us.msi for 64-bit versions of Windows. Windows 10 already has all the necessary components and no additional preparation is required. 2. On Windows 7 x64, Server 2008R2 run as Administrator the following command and then reboot: wpr -disablepagingexecutive on 3. Enable tracing. To do that, run as Administrator one of the following commands depending on how stable the problem reproduces: In case of stable reproduction of a problem: wpr -start GeneralProfile.Light -filemode -start CPU -filemode -start FileIO.Light -filemode In case of unstable reproduction at arbitrary time: wpr -start GeneralProfile.Light -start CPU -start FileIO.Light 4. Please have a look at USER_MODE parameter description at https://help.kaspersky.com/KART/3.1/en-US/156605.htm USER_MODE: Select the Administrator mode. 0 – User with email reports (by default) 1 – User 2 – Administrator this parameter is marked as "Optional", but default value is "0 – User with email reports" so it requires additional options related to user's e-mail settings. If you need "user with reports" please specify missing options for that, or use "1 – User" or "2 – Administrator" values, so the command line will be e.g.: /q AGREETOEULA=1 AGREETO_SUPPLEMENTAL_STATEMENT=1 AGREETOPRIVACYPOLICY=1 ADWARE_DETECT=1 USER_MODE=1

To install product you need to pass some additional parameters through command line, like that: /q AGREETOEULA=1 AGREETO_SUPPLEMENTAL_STATEMENT=1 AGREETOPRIVACYPOLICY=1 ADWARE_DETECT=1 because of legal requirements. Please collect additional info related to the problem. 1. take a screenshot of the error message. 2. collect installation logs as follows create folder c:\logs run the installation from command line as Administrator: KART_distrib.exe /q AGREETOEULA=1 AGREETO_SUPPLEMENTAL_STATEMENT=1 AGREETOPRIVACYPOLICY=1 USER_MODE=2 ADWARE_DETECT=1 /log c:\logs reproduce the error and find out installation logs inside c:\logs 3. generate GSI report Please send collected info as attachment here or share it via any file hosting service. Do you have any pending Windows updates or incomplete/pending restart installations/uninstallations? Does problem reproduces after reboot?
