  1. Schulte's post in Getting Web Advisor message saying 5 viruses found was marked as the answer
    Hello @David123, Welcome.

This definitely looks like a scam. Please do not click on any of the buttons!
Unfortunately, I am not the anti-malware expert you need, but I have two ideas:
Have you cleared the browser cache?
Is there an extension in your browser that you did not install yourself?
  2. Schulte's post in Kaspersky and Window memory integrity was marked as the answer
    Hello @templar,

yes, unfortunately you have to choose one of the two options.

Windows only allows one hypervisor, so using both is not possible. But there is no disadvantage in using the Kaspersky option. KL has much more experience with this type of protection.
  3. Schulte's post in Trojan.MSOffice.SAgent.gen von Kaspersky Total Saec. gefunden was marked as the answer
  4. Schulte's post in confusion regarding licensing of kaspersky internet security was marked as the answer
    Hello @RickXU, Welcome.
There is no need to panic.

With a valid license key you can always use the latest Kaspersky version, it upgrades itself if necessary.
The 2021 key is also valid for the versions 2022, 2023, 2024.
  5. Schulte's post in How can I really temporarily stop protection? was marked as the answer
    Hello @Jimbo,
to disable Kaspersky completely, you need to disable loading at system startup and then reboot the computer.
If you use 'Pause Protection', some system drivers are still active.

    Hello @hedoc, Welcome.
It is possible that the file in 'C:\' cannot be created.
Try to create it on your desktop:

By the way, the use of an AV program (no matter which one) always depends on the trust you have in the manufacturer. If you don't have trust, don't use it.
PS: I would never use 'optimizer' either. They do not deliver what they promise.

  11. Schulte's post in File Anti-virus saying a file is un-processed when it scans clean. was marked as the answer
    Hello @LukeKaspersky, Welcome.

'not processed' does not mean that the file is infected and has not been disinfected.
Most likely KTS could not open it for scanning -> access denied. The .dll may be opened by another program and blocked for further access.
Can you scan it when Steam is closed?

  15. Schulte's post in Kaspersky claims Hardware virtualization is not available — except it is avaiailable. Now what? was marked as the answer
    Hello @Raiden,

'Device Guard' is now integrated into MS Defender.

Can you please check if 'Memory Integrity' is enabled under 'Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Device security > Core isolation details'? (Windows-Settings!)
This will enable 'Hypervisor-protected code integrity (HVCI)', then Kaspersky cannot use virtualization.
  16. Schulte's post in Kaspersky Internet Security (neueste Version) blockiert Steam trotz Firewall-Regel was marked as the answer
    Hallo @Mmike72, willkommen.
    Deaktiviere den KIS-Selbstschutz (Einstellungen->Allgemein)
B. in "Report.alt".
  17. Schulte's post in If I upgrade my Windows 10 to Windows 11, will my running Kaspersky Internet Security license remain intact? was marked as the answer
    Hello @AnotherMember, Welcome.

The activation is designed to be active even after the upgrade.
However, since errors can never be ruled out, you can back up your activation data just to be safe:

  18. Schulte's post in I bought an update and I don't know how to install the new KIS2022 version, or where to download it from was marked as the answer
    Hello @Jose Antonio Molina, Welcome.
With the '21.3.10.391 (i)' you have installed the latest version.
The Spanish KIS 2022 has not been released yet, it will probably come in the second half of the year.
  19. Schulte's post in Doubt in the selection of the license for KTS. was marked as the answer
    Hello @rqueizan,

    Your assumptions are correct.
You can create three MyKaspersky accounts. This is important if you want to synchronize passwords. With multiple accounts you can also manage multiple groups (one for your computers, one for the kids,...).
In your example, you can install KTS on ten different physical devices. For example, four Windows PCs, two Macs and four smartphones.
The license period is two years, it starts with the activation on the first device (for all devices). Caution: if you choose the subscription model, the license period starts with the purchase!
  20. Schulte's post in For some strange reason I'm running the KTS Beta version? was marked as the answer
    Hello @Urh06, Welcome.

May I ask from which source you downloaded the software? Was it from the Kaspersky site or from another provider like a computer magazine?
The patch 'i' thing is normal. It is currently distributed to only 18% of the installations, you have to wait a bit.

You need to uninstall the existing product and then reinstall the desired version from the website.
  24. Schulte's post in Browser Extension In Kaspersky Free was marked as the answer
    Hi @Thoughts,
I haven't dealt with this version yet, but I can't imagine that there are big changes in the extension.

The protection is guaranteed even without it, there are browsers for which no extension is available. Nevertheless, malicious sites are blocked and scripts are analyzed. An extension in the browser can't do that.
  25. Schulte's post in Verträgt sich kaspersky mit Bitdefender was marked as the answer
    Hallo @Marina Martens, willkommen.
