  1. done all that. seems to be ok now. I still have that popup on start. No info to tell me what application it is talking about.
  2. I am still getting these pop ups. Any idea what the "previous application" is? Seems like it has to do with Kaspersky.
  3. forget that other thing. It appears I have a memory problem. I guess I need to resolve that and see if I still have this kaspersky issue. I'll be back. thanks
  4. kaspersky free av One other thing.. on the top of the popup I see ".NET-BroadcastEventWindow.4.0.0.0.195205d.0" Would that be the app that failed?
  5. I am also getting a message periodically on shutdown or reboot that says an instruction @ 58C3B522 reference memory @ 58 and it could not be read - or something similar - if that is connected somehow. It may be a different issue.
  6. when I boot my computer and Kaspersky starts I get this popup window saying "previous application launch failed" and asking if I want to send data. I have sent it a few times, but I have no idea what application and what to do about it. Is it talking about Kaspersky? If so, why is it happening and how do I resolve it?
  7. FYI - maybe this will help to solve the issue. The computer this is happening on is an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X on an MSI Gaming MB with default settings. Beside KSC’s message, File Explorer on this computer is acting very strange, and I think it was happening prior to installing KSC. I set FE to display ext and hidden items. Randomly, both get unchecked. I recently added KSC Kaspersky AV. It is now randomly telling me the ext are not shown. When I look, both are still checked. Since it is an unsolved known issue, that might indicate others are having the same issue as mine. It would be interesting to know if their issue also involved an AMD CPU, an MSI MB, or both. Today I opened FE and, while both were checked, some files showed the extension and others did not in the same folder. When I went to another folder, all ext were showing. When I went back to the other folder, all ext were now showing. All the other computers are Intel based and I do not see the FE issue on them. All computers are running W10 Pro x64 and are up to date. How is KSC determining the exts are not shown?
  8. Thanks for the reply. Since I posted this, it has ceased doing that. I am not sure if I changed a setting in KSC, but if I did I can’t find what I might have changed. If it happens again I will try to get a screenshot. thanks
  9. There are a number of old posts about this, but it has not been resolved. My FE is set to display extensions and it does. Why does KSC think they are not displayed? It keeps popping up, I click FIX and it says I am good to go until the next time I open FE and it pops up again. KASPERSKY ks4.021.3.10.391en_25092 W10 21H2 19044.1415
