Hello, I'm back with good and bad news.
The good news is that I've received the update to the new Kaspersky Free 21.9.6.465 version.
The bad news is that the strange DNS client behavior is still there and the new version didn't solve it.
Nothing has been changed.
Any idea?
Thanks

Unfortunately, the 21.9.6.465 version has not been released yet on my PC. I hope the update will be deployed soon in Italy.
-
I will wait for the next release and check again if the issue persists.
I'll be back to you as soon as I have an update.
Thanks

This is
Edition Windows 10 Enterprise
Version 22H2
Installed on 27/12/2020
OS build 19045.2604
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4190.0
Are you apparently asking me to downgrade the Kaspersky version from 21.8.5.452(c) to version 21.3.10.391?
Could you explain this passage?
Thanks

Hi everyone,
a "DNS Client" high CPU usage has persecuted me for a long time.
Today I've started to analyze the behavior and the origin of this problem.
I've found that the problem occurs every 2:30 minutes and lasts for 30 seconds.
With the help of the DNSQuerySniffer from Nirsoft I have checked the DNS Client request performed by my PC and I have found that every 2:30 minutes almost 90 DNS requests are generated by Kaspersky.
This is just a sample of what I've collected:
I initially pointed my finger at KSN service but by disabling it the problem doesn't disappear. Even setting the Update service to "manual" didn't improve the situation.
Closing Kaspersky by exiting the application interrupts the generation of the DNS requests but of course, it can't be a solution.
I use Kaspersky Security Cloud - Free version 21.8.5.452(c) on a Windows 10 Enterprise
Does someone know how to fix this problem?

@rraffo Please contact K-Lab Technical Support https://center.kaspersky.com
Thank you Berny for your help. I have opened a ticket into K-Lab technical Support. -
Please try this :
1- Fix MSI installer > Reboot
2- Clean install KSCloud :
> Exit KSCloud 2020 > Uninstall > Reboot
> Install KSCloud 2020 > Update Databases > Reboot
Unfortunatelly didn’t work…Same problem.

Hello,
my windows 10 enterprise 1909 ( 18363.535) pc don’t want run KSC 20.0.14.1085(g).
Installation runs normally but at the end once I did try to click the tray icon I discovered the message “Protection is disabled” with a gray icon.
Uninstall and reinstall didn’t solve
uninstall + kavremvr (any previous applications) and reinstall doesn’t solve
microsoft defender disabling over policy + reinstalling doesn’t solve.
I use the following installation package:
ks3.020.0.14.1085abcdeen_21405.exe
Any idea?
thanks

I did a chat with support but coz its the free version they refused to chat to me. Told me to try later.
Bit poor to be honest.
If I were evaluating for a possible purchase how do they think this would make me feel!! I would go elsewhere perhaps.
Thanks a lot for your feedback. I will try again later. This is the first time I have this problem. I assume a good way to manage this is to keep all customers informed the authentication system has a problem instead let us waste time into the forum…
