    Does the newer Kaspersky Standard, Premium not show activation code in my Kaspersky?

    My Security Level is already on Extreme from the start so it already consumes a bit more than normal which is fine for me as I have a fairly decent gaming PC, plus it shouldn't consume much resources during gaming because of Game Mode.

    AMSI Protection settings

    Can anyone please explain in easy language what these compound file settings do under AMSI Protection and File Antivirus if I need to change these?

    I turned on the Scan Archives and Scan Distribution Packages under AMSI as these were unchecked before but left the ones in File Antivirus unchecked.
    Also what is this maximum file size? Will antivirus not scan downloaded or usb storage files above 8MB? 

    Has Web Anti-Virus been replaced with Safe browsing?

    1. Yes, what was known Web Anti-Virus, in KIS, is known as Safe Browsing & is available in all of Kaspersky *new* software range: Basic | Standard | Plus | Premium.
    • Safe Browsing intercepts and blocks the execution of scripts on websites if they pose a threat.

    I wish it was the same for Indian region.

    Please see the image attached for my laptop KIS. It says that license needs to be activated before 2022 end.

    1. No, KIS will not be released in any further new versions; the version 21.3.10.391 is the last version. KIS 21.3.10.391 has been patched up to patch (j). Databases will continue to be updated until KIS is decommissioned. The same applies to KAV, KTS & KSC, the original KAV Free & KSC Free - all are being replaced by the new software range *eventually* -> read: Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ.

    5. IF you mean you can't buy online because you don't have a CC or Net Banking, then it makes no difference which software is available online (Kaspersky Standard or KIS), & store merchants are selling boxed Kaspersky Standard software, perhaps (your) merchant will also.

    I will source the 1Device 3Year License Key of KIS 2021 for my Desktop and will upgrade it to the Standard version using the web installer like I did for the KIS 2021 on my laptop which had 200+ days remaining.

    Will my KIS auto upgrade to KIS standard?

    Kaspersky website itself says that internet security is not for sale anymore. And there is no option of purchasing it.

    And I have no means of getting the subscription based services so looks like my 13year run with Kaspersky is ending.
