Remove Annoying Messages from Kaspersky [Solved][Closed]
richbuff replied to silver_mica's topic in Kaspersky Total Security
Welcome. Are you using Kaspersky Free? You can uncheck some notifications in Kaspersky Settings > Additional > Notifications. You can uninstall Kaspersky Secure Connection, if you are not using it. -
There was a time in the past, when all patch updates resulted in prompt to update. But, that caused a flood of requests to Tech Support for more information. So, the prompt was removed. But then, people who did not restart their computers for a long time were left with the modules not properly installed for a long time. Then the prompt was changed to show the prompt after a few days. Now, who knows. the first wave is less people, maybe they do/don't get the prompt. The most people to get the patch will receive the patch on the last wave. maybe those people do/don't get the prompt. Maybe the prompt was changed when this patch was being released. youtube.com/watch?v=XcMM5-zBCEc 1. First there is a mountain, 2. Then there is no mountain, 3. Then there is.

My Kaspersky: Email Address Invalid? [moved]
richbuff replied to DiscoMann's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
Welcome. This topic was moved from Russian section of this forum, to the English section of this forum. However, the primary purpose of this post is to bump this topic to the top of this forum section that it was moved to, lest it be missed, being moved and arriving lower down on this English page. -
Also, in addition to what Berny indicates in the post located above this post, Hello FLOOD: I merged your new topic, to this already pre-existing topic, which contains some hint of the situation: If I have four computers on one network, each updating from the same server, because of different randomly configured files inside the local application inside the local machine, each machine can receive the new patch at different time.

No need to create new topic for issue already posted. That would cause chaos with tracking the issue in two contemporaneous topic threads. I added the more important issue to this topic title. Very important tissues: Let's get Tech Support in in this. Please contact Tech Support: https://my.kaspersky.com/support/ Please attach the following items to your Tech Support request: a. Description of the issue. b. Screenshot, as needed. c. GSI

Hello mikethebike, The other persons topic is "70% cpu with Kaspersky Chrome extension". Your topic is: "now have a grey K shield as opposed to the green one on all sites..." This forum engine is new, so it took me a long time to split your posts (and the replies for you) to this, a New Topic that I created for you. I got plenty of practice doing this; the procedure is cumbersome and tedious. Next time you hijack another persons topic thread, please pray for me that I have the serenity to be in a cheerful mood. Palm Sunday is tomorrow, and so I am trying to be an all around friendly chap, as He has instructed me, despite the time-consuming tribulations.

Welcome. Please see https://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?/topic/344419-download-the-latest-kaspersky-product-updates/ for instructions to download and install Kaspersky version 2019. Uninstall Kaspersky version 2018 > reboot, then install Kaspersky version 2019. After you install Kaspersky version 2019, activate with your current activation code > do a databases update > restart the computer. For good measure, please repeat databases update > restart the computer. Additionally, please check to insure the Kaspersky databases are updated, and the computer restarted daily for the next few days, because auto patch E is expected soon. Any better with the current version?

installation of KIS, the setup file does not open.
richbuff replied to sudip_basnet's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
Also, in addition to what The Shield indicates in the post located above this post, Hello sudip_basnet, This is an active forum, with many very helpful helpers. Therefore, it may possibly be easy to miss a helpful post, when many helpers want to post helpful posts in rapid succession. Therefore, please re-review all of the replies from the top of this topic thread. It looks like you may have missed a helpful post that Wesly.Zhang posted for you. Please reply: Did you log in to Windows as Administrator, then right click the installation file and Run As Administrator. Any better? Did you contact Tech Support and send tech support your logs? Please reply: Did you rename the installer file name to "a.exe" and run it, as Wesly.Zhang posted? Any better? Hello Friend, Yes, GSI6 logs were linked in the first post, and I saw "11220:2dfc 11:46:29.687 *** Exception in sequence: Failed to create directory(-ies) C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab Setup Files\KIS19.0.0.1088.0.1679.0 (last err: 5)" That is why I asked sudip_basnet to log in and run as Admin, and to also contact Tech Support and send tech support the indicated logs. ------------------------------------------ Hello Everyone! Please preface with Also, when posting directly after another helpers post. It looks a lot less friendlier, when posting after the other helpers post, as if the other helpers post does not exist. This one word acknowledges that the other helpers post does exist. That makes the forum look like a friendly forum. In addition, it assists the helpee in not missing the other helpers post. That happens with much greater frequency then we would think that it happens. For the above two reasons, please acknowledge the previous post when you post directly after another helpers post. -

Welcome. Please do not link to possible malware; I edited the Download link. If you download anything from an unofficial source, it could be malware. Your best bet is to ask Tech Support.
