  1. I found when this problem occurs. If I don't change anything in removable drive part in device control(let it to be Default “Depends on Bus”) it works as expected. but when I edit removable drive part in device control by deleting Everyone and add single user by checking write and read permission, warnin message pops up. hope I could make it clear to you.

    Correct, I checked it too.

  2. It is related to your incomplete installation of windows and KES10. Best practice is that if you are planning to install two different AV product, then remove it completely with an uninstaller tool that cleans it from system areas before installing new one.

And since you’ve also mentioned that two different windows directory were used on two different products, authorizing issue have arised.

  3. Hello. Do you think it would be safe to turn off scanning encrypted connection? Is there any way we can add https://x.x.x.x as exclusion?

Hey Bob, it is perfectly fine to uncheck encrypted connection if you have large number of websites to deal with. However, if in your case if you want to exclude few IPs’ you can do that in same window by selecting allow in advance setting of Encryption connection scan.

  4. Hello Francesco,

Like you I’m also curious to know the way.

In the mean while, you can also check Application registry in Application Management node where you can find the devices on which it is install under properties tab. Export the devices to Excel.

That is a bit of clicks, but till now I perform application inventory this way. I wish there is some other way round but I don’t know.

  5. Thanks raviparker! It works!

Anyone understand how it’s possible that it “works” even on google.com like in the attachement? I’m not happy to disable a protection component but I can’t populate a whitelist with all the website on the web.

Don’t worry about the protection, unchecking this option doesn’t makes you vulnerable. Also, scanning encrypted connection is little bit resource intensive and may make your web experience slow on legacy hardware.

  6. @raviparker I tried to change the wildcard to what you suggested and it still does the same thing. Unfortunately I can’t turn on the category for videos because we have some custom training videos in our SharePoint space that they access on the same devices. When I blocked the videos category it blocked access to those videos as well. We have about 40 url’s blocked and YouTube seems to be the only issue after testing.

    Hey Jkuhn,

Sorry for late reply, Please try this as this successfully block youtube.

    try wild card as *youtube.com/*
