I have the same problem on my Probook 450 G7 as described in LinkKaspersky rescue disk stopped booting on “setup hwsetup” message. And after that, I was not able to restart the laptop at all! Pressing power button turned it into sleep state and pressing again just recovers laptop to black screen with 100% fan rotating. That is a shame for Kaspersky in my opinion, both that the tool is not starting on laptop that is 1.5 years old and that it blocks laptop from further operation. Thanks to HP there is an option to press power button for 15+ seconds so I was able to rescue from KRD blocking the laptop. p.s. by the way, the KRD initially just did not boot with same diagnosis as described https://github.com/ventoy/Ventoy/issues/65 so I had to set check_signatures=no.
