Thanks Flood, it appears I have an account for just one user. I guess I have to somehow upgrade the account to multiple users if that is even possible.
Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure Flood. I have a license for multiple PC's but I don't see any indication if it is for multiple user or single user accounts.

I've been using Kaspersky password manager for years now on multiple PC's. So I can log in on any account from every PC. But I don't want my kids that are now becoming tech savvy to be able to access bank accounts and other sensitive sites. How do I arrange for sensitive accounts to be only available from my own PC and not the others? Do I need a separate KPM for that?
Appreciate any advice.

Hello Berny,
Today my old subscription ran out, or so I thought because that is what I read in ‘My Kaspersky’ yesterday night (I had to wait a month to see if it would switch over to the new yearly subscription). I found out this morning that the Premium VPN is not active - for some reason it did not switch to the new license. I tried entering the new license code manually in Kaspersky VPN but I get a pop-up that says I can’t add that particular activation code.
A bit later today I checked my personal account in ‘My Kaspersky’ to see what the issue is. There I see an active license until 9-4-21 even though it had already expired - or so I thought. But it is not active on my PC. So at the moment the premium version of Kaspersky VPN on my PC is not active although according to the data in ‘My Kaspersky’ it should still be active.
Lastly, I don’t know if it is relevant, but I updated to the last version of Kaspersky Total Security yesterday night (including patch a) for an unrelated issue. I did a complete uninstall and reinstall.
I hope my explanation is clear.
PS It would be less confusing if there were a single license for Kaspersky Total Security and - VPN Secure Connection combined. I hope KS will market a single package like that in the future.

Hello @Flood,
To go over your points:
- Clarification: the issue only occurs when I use Firefox, i.e. the protected window only opens when I use Firefox. When I use Brave it seems to work normally (although in your example you received a pop-up for a guide). I don’t get any pop-up with Brave.
- OK.
- System default browser is Firefox.
- I uninstalled the old version and installed the new version 21.3.10.391.
- Done.
- Done.
- Verified there are no incompatible applications.
- Done.
- Patch (a) is installed.
- Full scan completed.
- Rechecking the issue I get the same result as you, i.e. the page opens normally and I get the pop-up for the guide. Looks like the issue is now solved but I still don’t understand the reason it happened. Anyway I don’t want to take up more of your time to further investigate. There are probably more important things for you to work on 🙂 .

Hello @Flood,
Appreciate your response. To answer your questions:
- I only get the first screen that you provided from your test (see below and the protected window).
- Kaspersky Total Security 21.2.16.590 (c) - © 2020 AO Kaspersky Lab
- The Browser with the issue is Firefox. It seems to work normally in Brave (I don’t get any pop-up for Brave).

The same thing happened to me when I clicked this link: https,//ca.childrenshealthdefense,org/home-page/breast-feeding-infant-dies-after-mother-receives-covid-shot-devastating-outcomes-in-pregnant-and-lactating-women-following-experimental-vaccines/
It opens up a new window in protected browsing.
I understand the steps as described above in the main answer but I don’t understand why it is happening. I would appreciate if someone more knowledgeable on this subject could explain why the additional page is opening (I have pop-up blockers/add blockers etc. running).

Today I purchased a new license for my Kaspersky VPN (the 1 year subscription) as it is the cheaper option. I entered the activation code that I received on my Kaspersky but it is not assigned to a device. I thought it would get assigned to my current device automatically.
The monthly subscription from a prior monthly purchase is still active. What is not clear to me is how I can replace the monthly subscription with the yearly subscription. The ‘my Kaspersky’ license page does not provide an option as far as I can tell.
The Kaspersky VPN app. does not provide an option to assign the new license while the old license is running it seems.
