  1. Default is kaspersky updating databases every 2 hours which is ok. And not needed edit this. Check update logs what is inside if is there problem or what. I noticed when i am on steam and playing for example something longer, and exit game after 3 hours for example and then databases not updating (must manually update). This is only on steam games. On non steam games kaspersky running database update automatically after i close game.
  2. @MirceaForce i agree. 1. Create support ticket and give them your suggestion 2. How long you are scrolling in antivirus? This is not browser.
  3. @MirceaForce Exists 2 options : 1. Uninstall KIS and ☑ checkbox keep license info. Download and install kaspersky standard. Your license will be activated automatically because from previous uninstallation checkbox keep license info.. Also you can proced with 2 option. But 1st option is easiest. 2. Uninstall kis. Download and install kaspersky standard and it will be activated via your my.kaspersky account (you must login into kaspersky standard). And then license will be loaded automatically. If something went wrong simply uninstall it and install kis again. *best is save your license code into my.kaspersky account. You never lose it.
  4. Should be work with kaspersky standard. I had kaspersky total security license and when I download and install for example kaspersky standard automatically was installed kaspersky plus. So should be work with your license also. If you have saved your license on your my.kaspersky account you can try. If will not working with new products then you can revert back to KIS. Easy.
  5. @MirceaForce no. These old range of products are end of life. Still database updates working. KIS is replaced by kaspersky standard. But there are new range of products kaspersky standard, plus and premium.

  7. Also in past was: KAV - Kaspersky Basic KIS - Kaspersky Standard KTS - Kaspersky Plus and new kaspersky Premium maybe Kaspersky Security Cloud?

  9. So there will be problem with license because kaspersky not confirm that.. And you not obtain license key. Support will tell you what is wrong.
  10. You wrote : Waiting for purchase confirmation. So it means it still not confirmed? Can you check license on your my.kaspersky account? is there any key? If yes you can simply copy key and insert it to vpn app. I did also a long time ago.
  11. Hello, Welcome. You must login into VPN. Kaspersky automatically synchronizes your kaspersky account with licenses and VPN etc..

  13. Sorry for jumping into thread... Similar problem I can confirm... Scheduled full scan (for example every month 1st). When i see 99% (few minutes) then kaspersky crashing (automatically closes main window and icon on the taskbar). After this is kaspersky automatically restarted. Problem is when I have set it to automatic full scan schedule (scanning over 1 200 000 files). When i do manuall full scan then scan finished without problems. I will watch it and enable traces when I reach 98% and more. EDIT : MR16 also crashing on 99% if scanning big files like ISO etc. Tech Support now know about this and it is registered as bug. It will be fixed but they need more time because problem is complex.
  14. Again Problem... But in newest MR15 K Plus EDIT: solution is --> installing original software with your motherboard (yes it will be older version) but stable. I dont know what happened... Yesterday all okay today asus in trouble. Maybe only asus fails here only.

  16. Hello @David Forshaw Welcome! Open kaspersky in left panel -> Security -> Intrusion prevention Click on Manage applications and in new window just click clean up and confirm. Thats it. List of programs will be updated.

  18. Hello @Marvin3558 Welcome! I reported it in march 2023 this was in MR13. Now is MR15 version also beta MR16 also have this...Problem was accepted but not fixed. EDIT : I have same resolution like you.
  19. Hello, Only quick reply. Kaspersky as many AV software uses AI long long years ago..... But it was called machine learning.
  20. @The Debugger as @harlan4096 wrote above create unique password. And use different passwords if you have more accounts. Also 2FA is best choice to protect your account. Hackers if have your password still need 2FA which is in your phone. So 2FA is more than recommended.
