  1. @Berny: I use a Windows 7 whilst the emsisoft Decryptor Tool seems to be only for Windows 10 64 Bit and above. I need to know, if I manually or Shft + Del all the infected files , and also the files from my portable Hard Disk, will this be enough? Or, should I format the disks? Will be malware be gone if I reinstall windows ?

  3. Hello, These are my system details: Application name Kaspersky Internet Security Application version 21.3.10.391 (j) Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 x 64 Service Pack 1 Build 7601 I've been running a fairly new version of Windows 7 until being infected by a ransomware. It seems to be named as .mmvb ransomware. I've done a Google Search and understood that after attaching the .mmvb extension to all documents in my PC it'll ask for a ransom. The problem is that after installing Kaspersky Internet Security and running a scan, it's failing to detect the virus / ransomware. I've added screenshots of a sample .mmvb in my Desktop, one in my Pen drive, and the result of a scan of my pen drive. Should I reinstall Windows ? Thanks for the help.
