  1. I'm a citizen of the world 🙂 But seriously - I'm using KTS United States license, as when I purchased it, I was on a secondment in US. Now I'm back to Poland (my home country), and I spend most of my time here (not all, though), and I'm getting and offer related to Poland. This is OK, probably based on my current IP. But I'd like to extend my US license, and not to purchase the PL license, as my employee covers 75% of my software costs and it's the US company. I can obviously fake my IP to achieve that, but I don't feel it's OK to do so. I'm also conscious of the issues with the activation, Kaspersky already got crazy once I reinstalled my system being in Europe (it was Spain, if I recall correctly), and refused to activate itself. I'm a troubling customer clearly 🙂
  2. Thank you! What I've done is downloading KPlus installer from the Downloads sections (as said, the version offered in My Kaspersky account is wrong) and installed it over the existing KTS. It did get activated itself as KPlus with my KTS license (the same expiration date is set). What doesn't help is that when I check my renewal option, the site still tells me to go for KTS, and not for any new plan, even though at the same time it says "check you eligibility for the new plans" or something similar. And the renewal offered is for a different country... This is just a complete mess...
  3. Yeah, I've read it and feel free to call me a moron, but I'm not getting the concept... Hence my question here. Also - when I attempt to download Kaspersky Plus from My Kaspersky, what's being downloaded is Kaspersky Standard, so I'm even more confused.
  4. I understand the legacy Kaspersky product line are being discontinued and I can see that in the last months only marginal updated to my KTS appeared. I'm a bit confused with the new product line, and I'm actually quite disappointed Kaspersky didn't take the effort to explain it better and directly to its long-time users. I still have over a year of KTS subscription - should I just keep using it, or should I move to Kaspersky Plus? Is this actually possible to use Plus with my KTS code?
  5. @Danila T., this guide is useless - how can I upload a file from my PC, when KTS already deleted it and won't allow to re-download it? For whatever reason you guys banned the Anker camera drivers, not only the file but the webpage won't open because of your product. It's high time to reconsider it.
  6. I confirm it takes the warning away! 👍 Just wondering if it fixes the problem itself, or just kills the way it manifests...
  7. OH, you’re right, @FLOOD! I haven’t thought any subsequent report will hopefully make Kaspersky’s engineers work faster on the solution. I’ll place a support ticket then and keep my fingers crossed! 👍
  8. Thank you, @FLOOD! I can’t find KB2983588 to be installed on my system… It looks like it’s some sort of a very old patch, as all patches I have on my system start with KB44* and KB45*. Is it applicable for 1909? Frankly speaking, I’m trying to avoid contacting Kaspersky’s Support, as it takes ages with them to fix the case. I find Community advices much more effective ;). I will obviously do so, if no solution can be found with other users.
  9. Thanks for your guidance @FLOOD! I’ve put my GSI on my Dropbox, so it’s downloadable using the link in my original post. Actually I have no VM running at my device at this moment and no virtualization software installed. That’s why I put my comment in this thread. Is anyone able to confirm it’s a bug on Kaspersky’s side? When it comes to the community upload error, here is the screenshot: It seems however to malfunction only for zip files, I was able to upload jpg and doc for test purposes.
  10. It seems to be a wider issue, as I’m another person who just got hit by this, though I’m using Total Security product. No changes to my OS in recent days, no hardware issues etc. and suddenly Kaspersky tells me that “This operation system is found to be unstable when using virtualization” and advises HW virtualization is not available. This is a totally fresh issue and I’ve been running KTS for several months with HW virtualization enabled. Possibly it’s a bug in the new patch? I’m running KTS 20.0.14.1085(i) on Windows 10 Professional 64-bit 1909 (18363.639) and when I uncheck the “Use advanced features of the hardware virtualization” the issue persists. I’m sharing my GSI+Logs file, but in my case I can’t upload them here either... Shall we wait for the new patch as @nexon advises?
  11. I'm running KTS 20.0.14.1085(a) (due to internet speed issues with the current 19 builds) and I'm experiencing issues with the Chrome add-on, Chrono Download Manager. Virtually each time when I save my downloaded file to a network drive, it gets downloaded but it's not accessible and a message "Virus scan failed" appears. This doesn't happen when I download the same file directly to my HDD, only the network (NAS hosted) folders are affected. I've contacted the add-on developer but he believes it's the antivirus issue, not the add-on issue. Can anyone advise if there's anything in KTS I can change to get rid of this issue?
  12. Friend, later after posting I actually removed 2020 and cleared everything with Kavremover, then re-installed 2020 with no legacy settings. No improvement whatsoever... Support told me that the code changes in 2020 were i.a. directed into improving the scanning driver, so they should positively impact the network performance. I did some more test and the speed varies, but in general the results are worse than for 2019...
  13. Is it possible to upgrade to KSC from the existing KTS license?
  14. Some update: Support has advised me to upgrade to the 2020 RTM version to see if it helps. I've installed version 20.0.14.1085 and... it's much worse! :open_mouth: All I can get now is 60-65 Mbps... I saved the app settings, so 2020 is operating with the KTS config that assured the best possible networks performance I could get with 2019.
  15. Friend, thank for this! My support case No is INC000010341584. I'm a bit disappointed so far, as I entered all the necessary info and the GSI report, and in return I was asked to provide the very same info and GSI report that was already there! I'm aware of the E patch, but since I have a fresh KTS install, it looks it hasn't been yet enabled to me (as explained in the ticket). I do the manual database update everyday hoping it will get downloaded, but so far no luck. Is there any way to enforce this module update?
  16. I had a technician visiting me last week on this issue and he confirmed everything was fine. Moreover, I have my business laptop (with another security suite) also cable-connected to my router and I can get the full speed on it. Finally, as I said - I did several speed test before I installed KTS and after doing so. In the meantime there were no other installations, updates or other configuration changes. KTS seems then to be the only culprit. It's possible it can be an isolated situation, but I do believe it needs to be validated by Kaspersky Support. I've placed my support request over 2 days ago and till now, no engineer has even been assigned to review it :unamused:
  17. BeanSlappers, oh sure - I've played with my whole network infrastructure for a long time, with no effect again. I'm running Dell XPS 9360, with i7-7500U, 16GB RAM, 512GD SSD. The bottleneck could be the Realtek network card, but 1. I've also tweaked its parameters, and 2. the issue appeared somewhere with KTS 2019 (unfortunately I can't say which build), as in the past I had no throughput problems with this card.
  18. Thanks, BeanSlappers, I've already got both those tweaked and still no luck... I have the impression that KTS driver/filter is doing this lousy job. I tried disabling individual KTS modules to see if there was any speed difference, and there was none. The only "solution" is to completely exit application (then I can get 60% of my nominal link speed) or completely uninstall it (then 100% is back). However the uninstallation.... You know...
  19. No worries, KarDip! Here's my report: https://www.getsysteminfo.com/report/d4c1e4f4a6448952e1663a4f318f4058
  20. KarDip - how do you attach non-media files in the new community? All I can see is an option to add image / video / link - none of those accepts zip archives.
  21. Thanks for confirming this, harlan4096! This may be indeed a case of higher-speed connections. The mentioned test with KTS 2018 made early 2018 was done when my connection speed was 256 Mbps and I got it upgraded in mid-2018. Anyway, it's another corroborative item suggesting something is wrong with KTS itself ,,,
  22. Roger that! So here are the speeds of downloading 1GB test file from https://www.thinkbroadband.com/download: with KTS 2019 OFF: top speed - 18 MB/s -> 144 Mbps average speed - 12 MB/s -> 88 Mbps with KTS 2019 ON: top speed - 9 MB/s -> 72 Mbps average speed - 7 MB/s -> 56 Mbps Obviosuly the bottleneck in this case is with the server, not with the client, but still getting up to almost 150 Mbps is good enough for me. It definitely looks that KTS 2019 is seriously impacting the link speed, and I doubt that 50% speed reduction is something that anyone would accept.
  23. OK, understood. Getting back to your first response: are you saying that after KTS installation the internet speed is actually more or less the same, only the speed measurement results are somehow falsified? If so, is there any reliable tool that is not affected by the KTS driver and can be used for this purpose?
  24. Have the same issue and just posted on the Community as well. You can review a bunch of posts submitted to the legacy forum, and apply the enhancements advised there. They haven't helped in my case, but maybe they will help in yours. I do still believe it's a KTS 2019 issue - I didn't have any issues with the previous versions.
