["Access denied" when trying to update Kaspersky's app]

Thank you very much for both of your supports.

I decided to try the short solution first and move to the steps of the long one if the former didn't work.

For my scenario, updating the product downloading the .exe from the direct link was enough. The updater didn't warn me about license slot, in opposition to the warning received from the fresh install setup (my bad, I should have linked the warning image in my opening post).

In this case, I didn't have to disconnect my device nor check user rights privileges. Everything is updated and working fine now.

The problem was an extension. Wasn't one I didn't recognize, but it seems it started to distribute malicious packets a good time after I activated it.

I don't know if I'm getting old and rusty or, with the passage of time, in a surprising counter intuitive way, it's becoming harder and harder to find things online as I couldn't find reference on this malware's name on the web.

Hello support

I have Kaspersky Plus 21.8.5.452 (c) and the app is notifying me to update to a newer version.

Problem is everytime I try to update, it pops a system error box: ERROR Access denied

I have tried starting app running as administrator, but it didn't solve the problem.

I didn't try to install a newer version .exe from the website to override late version because it pops a window saying the action will need to use a new and also my last free user/device slot.

What can I do to update the app without reinstalling it to avoid burning my last license slot?

Hello support

It's been a couple of months that Kasperspky warns me about this "download denied" threat called "jakonlarry" every time any URL is opened on Chrome, but I can't find any information about this threat anywhere in the web. I have hope this forum can tell me if its a false positive or, if not, guide me the way to remove the threat.

I tried to reinstall Chrome app, scanned application, no viruses found, but the warning alert still rings every time.
