  1. When I go to the windows defender page, I see that it is active even though I am using Kaspersky Internet Security. How do I fix this? Edit: I went into firewall, turned off my internet, and it showed kaspersky as the firewall. I went back to defender and it is normal now. Does anyone know what happened?
  2. @Berny No errors that match the time I can see. I will try support if it continues happening I guess. Thanks.
  3. @Berny if you mean checking the reports, nothing is out of the ordinary to me. I am not sure how to "verify" them though.
  4. Hi @Berny, when looking in event viewer, I can see the following event id 1074 right as it shut down and it also specifically shutdown right as the scan finished: The process C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 21.3\avp.exe (DESKTOP name here) has initiated the shutdown of computer (desktop name here) on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: No title for this reason could be found Reason Code: 0x1 Shutdown Type: shutdown Comment: I tried doing another full scan with the same settings but it did not shutdown which is kind of odd.
  5. Update: I looked further into event viewer and saw the following event error 1074: The process C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 21.3\avp.exe (DESKTOP name here) has initiated the shutdown of computer (desktop name here) on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: No title for this reason could be found Reason Code: 0x1 Shutdown Type: shutdown Comment: I tried the full scan again though and it didn't shut it down, so I'm kind of curious as to why it shut down.
  6. Basically, I set the full scan setting to extreme, ran the scan, and right has the bar on my task bar showed it was about to finish my computer shutdown out of no where. I also have it set to "keep computer turned on" so is it normal that it shut down? Edit: Just checked event viewer and it shows the following at the same time my computer shutdown: DHCPv4 client service is stopped. ShutDown Flag value is 1
  7. Hey @Flood and Flood's wife, just a quick update: It appears that my issue has been resolved! I now have my phone and authenticator set up.
  8. Hi @Flood and Flood's wife, yesterday I sent another reply in case that would work. Today I got a response and it appears that they are working on it. They asked me to continue trying so I will attempt it again in a week or 2.
  9. For some reason my reply to this just now was hidden and waiting for approval. I will continue to wait, thanks for the help.
  10. It is the weekend, that is a good point. I guess I will wait for another few days. Thanks!
  11. @Flood and Flood's wife Hi, I just had a quick question. How long does it take for a technical expert to reply as it has almost been 2 days. Also, is Gmail encrypted? When I click the Kaspersky email, it says it is but when I check my own, I don't see any encrypted indicators. The Har log contained my old password and my current number so I would like to make sure. Thanks.
  12. Oh, I didn't do that and sent the normal har log. I changed my password afterward, is that good?
  13. Hi @Berny and @Flood and Flood's wife, I just had another question pop up. For the Har log, I had to reproduce the steps after clearing everything but while reproducing the steps, I had to enter my password to get to the phone number screen. Does a har log capture passwords are are autofilled?
  14. Alright, I have replied to support with a screenshot and har log a couple of hours ago as requested. I will now wait for a reply. Thank you for the help, I will update whenever I get a response.
