Please Kaspersky….reconsider these steps.
Kaspersky collaborators are watching this Forum.
I suspect that this is an attempt to be clever, however I feel you missed the mark.

I have just found this thread regarding the new models of Kaspersky. If everything I am reading stays unchanged in the final version that is released in the US, I have some serious concerns. First is the inability to turn off certain features. That has always been one of the things I admired about Kaspersky. The idea of showing one's email address on the screen makes no sense at all. Perhaps one of the worst ideas is going to a subscription-based model. I understand from a business point of view, this helps with cash flow. However, from a consumer standpoint as one person has already pointed out, it is a bad idea. I hope from the input I have read here, that Kaspersky will reconsider these steps. If not, I feel I will have to recommend to my customers and clients that they remove Kaspersky and look elsewhere for their security needs. Please Kaspersky….reconsider these steps.

Be advised that according to Kaspersky, disabling Script Injection will cause Safe Money and Private Browsing to not function properly among other components not functioning properly.

Go to Kaspersky website, then to the download section and download KIS. Proceed with the install and when prompted, enter the activation code that came with your CD. Your software will be activated the date you install. Keep the disk incase you need to reinstall.

Hover your mouse pointer over the green shield in your notification area in the right corner of your display and it will tell you your current version and revision letter. You can also right click the green shield and choose “About” and it will give you the same info.

Followed instructions. www.chase.com still opens in unprotected browser🤔

Should I exit KIS before deleting folder?
-
1-Yes
2- Run Protected Browser
3-Edge
4-Edge
5-No
Question-If I delete the Safe Browser folder and reboot, will KIS rebuild the SafeBrowser folder and not require a reinstall of the software? Should I exit KIS before deleting the folder?

Hi Flood and thank you for responding. My screen looks identical to the screen shot you posted except I do not have the green border around mine. I have removed the site from Safe Money and then put it back in but it still will not open securely. Perhaps a setting I have that is different from yours. Any ideas?

Are any other users still seeing this error? rd100, are you still seeing this error? This thread has been marked as Solved and it most clearly has not been resolved.

UPDATE- Using version KIS 21.3.10.391(b) and this problem with the Chase bank site still exists. As stated previously, with the site listed in Safe Money and opening the site, Safe Money does not open the site securely. If you go into Safe Money and click the site listed in Safe Money, it will open the site that way. Clearly this error HAS NOT been fixed. Any input from Kaspersky employees would be appreciated.

I am currently on KIS 21.2.16.590(C) and can confirm that this issue is still present with this version. Anyone have any further information as to an expected resolution of this issue?

I could not agree with the OP more. I pay for the software and while I understand that I do not “own” the software, I DO own my computer. If I wish you continue to use a version that is say one version behind the current version so that I may wait and see how the newer version works on others computers or to install it on a non critical system for testing, that should be my decision, NOT the software manufacturer. I truly hope Kaspersky will rethink their decision in this matter.

I can confirm that I am also experiencing the same results when attempting to access this website.

Thank you very much Wesly.Zhang for the information regarding disabling the event in Task Scheduler. As has been stated here and in other posts, most advanced users want to be in control of when their software is updated. I feel this is an unadvised step by Kaspersky. Thank you again for the information.

Schulte, let me thank you for finding this info. This certainly answers my questions. Thanks again for your diligence.

Thank you Schulte for answering my question. I am curious though as I am in the US and not using a French GUI. Seems odd to push an update to someone who is not using that GUI. If anyone else has received this but is on a non French GUI I would be interested to hear from them.

Just noticed updated to Patch M. Just curious if anyone has any info or can point me to release notes fort his patch. Checked the Beta forum and no info there under Patches sub forum. Thanks for any assistance.

I have been following this issue for some time now and do not intend to sound overly negative, however, I have a number of clients who have been pushed the new Edge by Microsoft. They are calling me with questions and are not happy about Kaspersky and Safe Money not working properly with the new browser and extensions. Edge is no longer in Beta. There is a Stable channel that is being sent to customers. This has been known for some time. First it was to be supported in Patch h, then Patch i and now patch j. I read somewhere on this forum that Patch j may not be coming until mid April. Kaspersky needs to make this patch a priority before Edge is pushed out en masse. It is becoming difficult to convince clients to stay with a product that seems to be behind the curve. I still believe Kaspersky to be one of the best AV on the market. However in other cases such as this, they seem to be a little late in keeping up with changes made to the OS.

Hello Flood,
Thank you for the information regarding what happens after 7 days if a computer is not rebooted. I was aware that patch I was initially going to support Edge Chromium. As I stated, lets hope there is not a long delay before we see patch j so the transition to Edge Chromium is as painless as possible for all Kaspersky users.

As Microsoft is now pushing the new version of Edge to customers, and it is no longer in beta, I sincerely hope Kaspersky will ensure that its products will be fully compliant with the new browser. I am most concerned with Safe Money and whether it will function normally.

Example..If you have a license for 3 computers and you activate the license on computer 1 on Jan. 1, and then activate on computer 2 on Jan 5, computer 2 will show the remaining days left matching computer 1. Whenever you activate the license for the first time, the countdown begins then.

Just turned on computer and KIS updated twice. First a normal signature update. Then after about 5 minutes it started another update and then updated tp Patch D. Cannot find info on this patch so was curious if anyone has seen it yet and if so, could point me to any info regarding this patch. Thanks

I am disheartened to see the last response bluesriff received from support. It has been made clear by MS that at some point, perhaps in the not too distant future, they will do away with IE11. I support over 50 clients, all on Kaspersky products at my recommendation, and begun receiving questions/complaints about this issue. My clients are security aware and are concerned. I hope Kaspersky will put more effort into finding a more "consistent" explanation to this problem or I fear I will have to explore other security options for my clients. I trust Kaspersky, but they need to be more proactive on this important issue.
Comparison: Plus vs. Premium vs. Internet Security vs. Total security
in Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium

Hi all.
Just looking for clarification. I was just looking at Eugene Kaspersky's twitter page and followed a link to his blog page and according to him there will be three levels of Kaspersky going forward. They will be Standard, Plus and Premium. He indicates that just AV will no longer be available. I see no mention of a Basic plan. It appears the Standard=KIS. Just want to be clear regarding the new offerings.
