Hi,
I read about Feb 2021 issues KSK had but couldn’t solve my issue.
I am controlling my kids devices on my mobile app with KSK 1.65.0.6 version (Freeware).
I have 3 devices for my kids:
- laptop A - recently renewed Kaspersky Internet Security license and can no longer see any updates on my phone. There was no requests received, no new alerts for anything. However, the restrictions that I put in earlier like limiting device time, restircting certain apps (like roblox) are still there. Just that I could no longer change them. Even I have changed the device time limit on my phone/log in to my kaspersky website to change it, it doesn’t show and reflect in her laptop. I tried uninstalling her KSK on her laptop, uninstalling my KSK on my phone and tried again but still failed. It just stop getting updates on her device.
- laptop B - another device has no issue, and I can receive updates normally
- mobile C - the device just stop working every one month or so. where I need to restart KSK on her phone so that all the restrictions are working again. I read that this was due to the battery issue but done all still the same.
Anyone has answer especially to item 1 above?

Hi,
I’ve faced the same issue as well on android Vivo. I’ve tried this trick and seems to be working so far for few days. Go to Accessibility => High battery power consumption, make sure the Kaspersky is Tick. This should do the trick.

- Which Windows version & build is KSK installed in, in Windows Search🔎 field, type winver → press enter, a small popup will show the required information - post an image of the winver popup please?
- On the Windows taskbar, select the tiny UP arrow, to show the hidden icons, take a screen print of the hidden icons & post back please?

Go to the Windows taskbar, on the far right (a little bit close to the date & time), there’s a tiny up arrow, when the up arrow is selected, are there any hidden icons?
Can you see KSK in the hidden icons → if “yes”, rightclick the KSK icon, select About - take a screen print & post back please?

I right clicked, there is no such option. only showing KSK.
I got to know the version from “Program and features” in control panel.
Tried to download again but it’s the same version. If I were to uninstall and reinstall will I need to reset everything again or all the rules will remain the same?

Apologies for the delay responding😥
- Patches are represented by letters, not numbers.
- 1.0.5.7353(h) patch was released b/w 11th March & 25th March 2021.
- 1.0.5.7353(h) was released globally.
- For versions & patches, there’s never a distinction between Premium & Free.
- The KSK version number (you’ve posted), is prior to 1.0.5.7353, but the patch(x) information is wrong = Ksk 1.0.5.1360(1) - in Windows taskbar or hidden icons, please rightclick the KSK icon, select About - take a screen print & post back please?
- Did you close all other applications & browsers, uninstall KSK, then clean install KSK?

Hi Flood,
When I right click on the KSK icon, there’s no “About” to select. Hence not able to see the view you posted. I can only see 1.0.5.1360 from the “Program manager” in control panel. I tried to redownload KSK from the website https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads/thank-you/safe-kids-pc, the file that it downloaded is setup_1.0.5.1360.exe, I cannot find 1.0.5.7353(h).
Yesterday I managed to clear cache and cookies in my kid’s laptop and youtube was forbidden. I thought I successfully blocked it but today, I saw them on youtube again. Don’t know how they did it. They told me they just try and try and try and it went in. Gosh!

- try to reboot and retest the issue?
- try to clear cache in browser and restart browser?
Does the issue occur in these cases?
Maybe you have allowed youtube temporary, then block it and receive a reproduction?

Just tried again. It worked by clearing the cache.
However I need to clear the cache on my kid’s browser every time. So this is a hassle as blocking of websites cannot have duration limitation. I may allow them to watch youtube for sometime and forbidden it again. When I forbidden it, if I do not clear cache on each of their devices, youtube remains available.
So wonder if there is any other way to do it more conveniently. Thanks.
update: ok, i changed the setting on chrome to clear cookies every time i exit browser. So I just need to ensure they exit after I forbidden. Thanks for your help!~

Ksk 1.0.5.1360(1)
As you can see from below, I inserted to block YouTube. I also received notification that my kids tried to open forbidden site, in fact, they have opened and are viewing YouTube.
It's blocked on Microsoft edge but not Google Chrome. On chrome, when they clicked into specific link it is forbidden. But they can go into YouTube.com to search whatever they want.

Same issue here. Blocked on edge not on Google Chrome. When I search on Google, I can go in to YouTube.com. but if I open a specific YouTube link from someone, it is blocked. But kids can still search whatever from general YouTube.com page.

I just tried again.
I disabled web activity monitoring, close chrome, restart chrome, can send images on web WhatsApp. Then enable it back. Without closing my chrome I can continue to send. Once I close my chrome n relaunch web WhatsApp, cannot send images again.
On forbidden sites on chrome, I can't block https://twitter.com/home

- KSK version? Ksk 1.0.5
- Child’s birth year? 2008
- Has WhatsApp web sending images with KSK active, ever worked? I just tried to disable web activity monitoring, it worked. After that I enabled it again it still worked. I continue to add on forbidden sites then suddenly not working again. After I disabled and enabled web activity monitoring, it worked again. Not sure what triggered it to not work though.
- Post a full screen image of the “cannot send images” → show us what you see when it’s working & not working please? First image failed, the sandwich image was sent via mobile it was ok. 3rd I tried audio it didn't go through again.

- also, I just realized most of the forbidden sites I added can still be accessed on Google Chrome. It is only blocked on Microsoft edge. Is this a known issue?

WhatsApp web cannot send images when Kaspersky kids safe is activated.
Tried the way in the earlier question about not able to download images. However doesn't work.
any resolution to this? thanks.

My case is opposite. Can't send images through WhatsApp when safe kids is enabled. Tried the above ways but didn't work. Anyone has the

Same issue here. They can "show" it to me that ksk is there when I asked. But disable it when they want to use and I have no reports or info of their usage at all now. I uninstalled n reinstalled the app on their mobile phone (android) it worked for a while n they hacked it again. I disabled the settings app of the phone and now I can't access the settings myself to uninstall the app. It keeps saying unable to connect to my Kaspersky. Please check your internet connection and try again. Need help. Thanks.
