I received this response from Vick Nesh at Kaspersky tech support: We are in plans to release a feature to block Google (Google Assistant this is the same) but no ETA about when this feature will be released. -

Interesting, but still doesn’t explain why KSK doesn’t allow us to block Google app! I am hoping to get a good response from TS on this. Thanks! -

Hi again. I did the steps you suggested, but the Google app is still not showing up in AppLock. Maybe because it’s part of Android and not a separate app? IDK. JR -

We do know Google Now Launcher, Google Search and Google Assistant are not showing in KSK. I guess this is the main issue here. Frustrating. We don’t know what’s blocked & what isn’t, unless you tell us. If Google Now Launcher is already locked in AppLock, but Google Search/Assistant still runs, then Google Now Launcher is not the problem. However, is Google Now Launcher disabled? As I mentioned, Google Now Launcher is locked in AppLock and it doesn’t appear in The Google app v 11.43.6.23.arm, is it locked by AppLock? It does not appear in AppLock. If it did, I think my problem would already be solved. In Google Play Store, can the Google app v 11.43.6.23.arm be uninstalled? If I click Uninstall in Google Play, it asks me if I want to “uninstall all updates to this Android system app". We mentioned Hangouts because it’s frequently used to access videos/circumvent KSK. As we don’t have access to the phone, the other apps we queried were just trying to eliminate all possibilities. Bottom line, the known, replicable issue: KSK not recognising apps, is the root cause → please log a case with Kaspersky Technical Support, fill in the Application malfunction, Other template, provide as much information as possible, steps taken, Community URL; Support may request: traces, data, logs, they will guide you. OK, I guess this is what I will do now. Thanks again for all your assistance. JR -

Google Now Launcher, Google Search and Google Assistant -- none of these appear in the list that can be disabled: Google+ and Hangouts are already disabled, but these have no effect on Google Search/Assistant. Nova Launcher is installed, but I don’t mind uninstalling it -- but what does this have to do with blocking Google Search/Assistant? Power Toggles turns on a flashlight. Google Now Launcher is already locked in AppLock, but Google Search/Assistant still runs just fine. >>In Google Play Store, find the Google app, go to Details, scroll down to App info, post a screen print please? « -

Sorry, I missed the second image last time. On this (Motorola) phone, there is no “Assistant” or “Google (system application)” in the list. Not sure why, but now I’m stuck. ☹ -

Please show me within the AppLock app how to reach the “Google & Voice Search” settings. I can’t find that setting. Thank you. -

Thanks again for the prompt reply. Yes, I saw this advice in another thread, but (a) there are many apps called AppLock in the Google Play Store so I am not sure if I installed the correct one, and (b) after installing the most-promising looking AppLock app, I could find no setting for “Google & Voice Search”. It would be most helpful if you could post a direct link to the correct AppLock app, as well as some screen shots of the app showing how to reach the “Google & Voice Search” settings. Much appreciated, JR -
Never mind my previous message. I cleared cookies like the message suggested and then it worked. Yes, I confirm that now each installed app is only appearing once in Settings. Thanks much, JR

The built-in Google app on Android does not appear in the list of apps that can be blocked, and my child is using it conduct searches (even though the results are according to KSK policy). I would like to block this app entirely. Is there any way to do this? Thank you. -
WhatsApp Web not downloading images or audio with Safe Kids activated
JR69 replied to JR69's topic in Kaspersky Safe Kids
PROBLEM SOLVED: Tech Support responded to my ticket by telling me to whitelist these two additional websites and now the images and audio download in WhatsApp Web. media.fsdv2-1.fna.whatsapp.net mmg.whatsapp.net Thanks guys! JR -
Hello again. This is not a serious enough problem for me to make it worth the effort of going through all of the steps you sent. I am sure that if it’s happening for me and for you, the company can figure out what’s going on. Thank you.

Hello! We’ve been using the free version for a while (and never saw this problem). We purchased the paid version recently, and started seeing this problem (but not suggesting there’s any connection!). JR

Hello. There is no auto-download option in WhatsApp Web and your answer does not address my question at all. Currently, no images or audio downloads even after clicking on them to download. -
WhatsApp Web not downloading images or audio with Safe Kids activated
JR69 replied to JR69's topic in Kaspersky Safe Kids
I have set block all websites except whitelisted websites, and I have whitelisted web.whatsapp.com. WhatsApp Web works like this, but it is not downloading any images or audio. If I Pause Safe Kids, then the media content downloads, so it’s clearly a Safe Kids issue. Is there some other website I need to white list in order for the media to load? -

How to block YouTube videos playing within the WhatsApp app
JR69 replied to JR69's topic in Kaspersky Safe Kids
Hello. I do not allow my child to watch YouTube videos unsupervised and thus have YouTube website and app blocked in Safe Kids. HOWEVER, my child discovered that she can watch YouTube videos WITHIN the WhatsApp app (Android) if someone sends her a link (or she sends herself a link). I want her to be able to continue using WhatsApp, but to NOT allow any YouTube videos. Is there a way to block YouTube videos playing within the WhatsApp app? Thank you.
