  1. Thanks, yes I saw your post. I am not sure why it was censored. All of your posts are very professional, and you clearly put solid effort into being ‘politically correct’, punctual, positive, and helpful. Yes, I do understand. My suggestion is basically that it would require very minimal investment to have better interaction/support in these forums, especially regarding feature requests. My opinion is that Kaspersky is under-estimating the value of feedback posted here in general. You have a really nice product, and it is obvious the GUI is very well thought out, but a few very small tweaks would really be game changers and would not negatively affect the average user. Thanks for your response.
  2. Thanks @Flood and Flood's wife , I appreciate your time and well-written posts. It is very apparent you put a lot of thought and effort into them. I personally feel that Kaspersky is a big enough company that they could afford to have staff members more directly involved with the forums, or pay someone like yourself to forward information when required, but how they run their business is up to them. For now, I am going to move on to other products that provide more direct support via their forums, without the need to constantly be submitting things via dashboard. If Kaspersky wants feedback bad enough, they will have to make some adjustments, and if not, then oh well.
  3. Is there anyway to configure what options are visible at the main window? I don’t use the password manager or the VPN, but every single time I open KTS to go into the settings, there those buttons are right in my face. I personally would prefer to have links to just about every other part of the application there, that are actually useful to me, like logs, rules, etc. Something really nice about Comdo, is it lets the user decide what tasks they want to show up in the main window, so the options are actually helpful.
  4. Disabling those (signed, KSN) does not affect the launching of unknown files, though, at least not according to the testing I just did. It seems my best option for now is to set the default action for unknown files to ‘Low Restricted’, which will at least give me some prompts and I can go from there. I was just hoping there was a way not to pre-assign a default action, but to get KTS to ask me. It seems weird to me that the option to ‘Ask user’ is available for known malware, but not for unknown (possibly clean) software.
  5. Yes, I already have that option un-checked (which is how I was able to set KTS to prompt for Virus). But, I seem unable to get KTS to prompt me for unknown application. It seems only automated (pre-defined).
  6. I am looking for something like this option ‘Action on threat detection: Ask user’
  7. I am able to define which group an unknown application will default into (pre-defined), but I am not able to choose on a case-per-case basis via a prompt. If I change ‘Trust group selected automatically’, then it is the same as above, but for applications that start before KTS. For me, this is a really big problem, and makes KTS miserable to use. I feel like I must be missing something, but not sure. It is weird to me that I can tell KTS to allow a known virus, but cannot get KTS to ask me for my decision on something that is unknown.
  8. Is there a way to make Application Control ask me (prompt) what action to take when executing an unknown file? I have the Antivirus set to ask, but can’t seem to figure out how to get this to ask.
  9. I think I may have figured it out. I set my VPN adapter to ‘Trusted network’, and set all my other adapters to ‘Public network’. Then, I created a ‘packet rule’ to Block Inbound/Outbond All Subnet addresses to Public network. Then, I moved this new rule up to the top of the ‘packet rules’ list, so it has priority. Seems to be working, if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free.
  10. Hello, I am trying to set up Kaspersky Firewall so that it only allows internet access through my VPN connection, and if my VPN dis-connects, to deny any other access. The VPN software I use has this option, but if the software is closed, the protection is disabled. Can anyone help me set this up?
  11. I meant to post this here: https://community.kaspersky.com/kaspersky-total-security-14 If someone could move it, I would appreciate it.
  12. I had to go into the Kaspersky settings manually (same place I went to add the issue to exclusions, since the prompt itself did not offer either option. Even after ignoring, I also had to add it to exclusions. The issue in #2 is lack of options via prompt menu. The issue in #3, is in regard to coordination between the existing prompt window and the ‘ignore’ function. Oh, you are not a Kaspersky employee? Do they not read these forums? It seems like a lot of effort to go through to submit feedback, especially after already going through the effort to post here.
  13. In the ‘New Ethernet network detected’ prompt, the ‘i’ link in the top-right corner goes to a broken link: https://click.kaspersky.com/?hl=en-US&customization=xnotgdpr&link=online_help&helpid=68173&syst=Microsoft%20Windows%2010%2010.0.19042%20Service%20Pack%200%20Build%2019042&pid=pure&version=21.2.16.590&hotfix=a.b
  14. The issue is gone for now, but I wanted to bring to the developers attention that the user-experience needs to be ironed out regarding the hosts file protection.
