  1. hi @FLOOD, Have had the black screen occur when selecting an article from the news.com.au site. The url on the black screen is : https://tags.news.com.au/prod/newskey/generator.html?origin=https%3a%2f%2fwww.kidspot.com.au%2flifestyle%2fhome%2fhome-solutions%2fmum-shares-genius-hack-for-making-toilet-roll-last-longer%2fnews-story%2f23048b4a5b0dabb98fb9bcaf2b309a89&1586738071417140507 The article on the news.com.au site is headed “Unusual hack makes toilet paper last” ☺ What on earth are they going to suggest?!!! I have attached the trace log file. Do you want it also sent to Kaspersky from the Send Report screen? If so, what Request Number do I insert? Cheers
  2. hi @FLOOD, That’s good to hear. I tried delicious.com.au just now and am sorry to report that it was ok, all the way down to a specific recipe selection. I’d always be accessing these sites via an online newspaper site link, when I got the black screen error. It’s possible that this was one of them at some time that I turned PB off for. However, when I checked the Kaspersky shield whilst I was on the delicious.com.au site, it looked like PB was on and blocking data collection, with no nasty side affects! Cheers Jo
  3. Thank you for that. I will study how to do Traces so that I am prepared when it happens again. Re updating Windows - feel like I have mountain to climb - but I will attempt it again - soon! Thanks for the assistance today. Cheers
  4. hi @FLOOD, thank you for your response. After I found how to switch off Private Browsing for affected sites, I was doing that a fair bit and of course, now that I want to have the black screen happen, I’m not getting it! I have been trying lots of links from the news.com.au site, which is where it mainly occurred, and none is now cooperating. I must have switched off PB on quite a few of them. I know that some of them were links to taste.com.au recipes, which is probably no help to you. The O.S. is MS Windows 7 x64 Service Pack 1 Build 7601. I have not applied updates to my version of Windows for 2-3 years as at that time I was getting an issue just at the end of the update install, where it just rolled everything back. After much searching and retrying, I gave up. So maybe it’s cos of that? I know that I could not use all of Kaspersky’s features because of that. My Kaspersky software is Kaspersky Internet Security version 20.0.14.1085 (i) Cheers
  5. Is this issue still on the investigation list? I am having the same problem as mentioned above, on multiple websites. When I switch Private Browsing off (for all or just that screen) it fixes it. However, I would really like to be able to block data collection on all sites, so when will it be addressed? Have the software engineers been able to replicate the problem? Thansks.
  6. Not sure what happened there, so I’ll try again using Paint.
  7. Hi, Is this what you mean? Hope so, as it’s getting late here now, so I’ll check back in the morning. Hope it’s readable. Cheers
  8. I have KAV premium I guess, as the Reports option is a button on the main application window. And the More Tools menu does not have a reporting option in this case. So maybe give people both pathways to the reports, as I guess they will have one or the other! :) Looking forward to hearing back from you. Cheers
  9. Sorry. I have redone the detailed report for All Events, for the last 24 hours and also for the last 30 days. I did the latter because the date the detected object was reported was 17th November and I have been wondering what to do with it since then. As it is not repeated each day since, does that mean that it has been removed? And if so, then which option is the correct one to take so that it stops showing as an unresolved item? Thanks for helping me with this - hope I have produced the correct reports for you. BTW - When I take the More Tools tab, there is no reporting option in the pulldown, so I accessed the detail reports via the Notification centre. Cheers Jo
  10. Here is the detailed report - doesn’t say much? And yes, databases and application are up to date. Thank you.
  11. I have a protection issue in my notification centre (Kaspersky Anti-Virus) which says : HEUR:Exploit.MSOffice.Generic detected and then gives the pathname for the object. The options listed when I click the Resolve button are: Add to exclusions Ignore Open containing folder View report Learn more If Ignore means to leave the object on my computer, and Add to Exclusions does the same, then how do I remove the malware or whatever it is? If it has already been removed by the scan and this is just a report of it, then how do I clear the warning message? Hope someone can help!
