Is winamp (latest version) also safe to use ?

 

I normally always use VLC and winamp. I know VLC can also play mp3 and mp4 but just wanted to know if latest version of winamp (5.8 i think) is also safe to use. I don’t know if the latest version is an actual official version of winamp.

There was only a problem in a library and not in VLC itself.

Today there are no known security problems with VLC

Without such a root certificate Kaspersky would not be able to check Https transfers for viruses. So if you don't want that you can switch off the feature to scan encrypted traffic but you do that on your own risk. And of course Kaspersky does an MITM attack on your local machine. Without such function no Anti-virus tools can provide Https checking.

The title says it all. The protection is installed in Firefox and in Chrome but not in the Chrome based Edge browser

Guess because it contains a Miner for Bitcoins working in the background. No normal user needs such mining on his PC so Kaspersky is right with this classiification.

I have no such problem with this new Windows version and KAV. Make shure you have at least KAV version 19.0.0.1088(e)
