Dear Support, Greetings, I am trying to migrate KSC 11 to a new machine with old database. In Kaspersky article (https://support.kaspersky.com/13920#block5) its written to use the old database name i.e. KAV and forbid to use other names, but when i did the same as mentioned in article and mentioned the database name KAV like existing database, it gives error "Select empty database, the mentioned database is not empty". But when i changed the database name to KAV1 means i have created new database on that instance that it succeeded and after restoring KL backup things are working properly after backup stored. Please guide why is there difference between in article where its written to keep the database name same and what is the best practice? Thanks

Hi, in the Russian community, we came to precisely this conclusion ... There is no report, but there are other ways 1. can be viewed in the registry, I indicated the path earlier on the final hosts 2. If you are sure that the KSC distribution kit has not changed, you can see the version of the MSI package of your KES, and conclude that the same version is on your hosts, the screen below (look at Installer, MSI, Database, aes56,ru) 3 . Hello Also please guide any Kaspersky Link on difference between KES AES 256 and 56 bit module ?? - as far as i know it is just type of encryption...256 - more security, 56 - less security. So logically if you dont use any disk encryption (by KES) you dont use this module at all. Russian article, you should translate it by chrome for examplehttps://support.kaspersky.ru/9382
Dear Alexey, Thanks for the guidance. So can we conclude that its not possible at all to get the report of devices specifying that it is installed with AES 256 module or AES 56 bit ? and what could be the other way to get the consolidated report for this type ?? Thanks -
Hello Hamid Ali as far as I know, but I could be wrong the is no any report in KSC....about AES modules, installed on the hosts. The only way to find it, go to regedit on all hosts and look at branch HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KasperskyLab\protected\KES10SP2\Installer the key: CryptoModuleTypeName "Because so that i can install or upgrade the same bit AES module because it can not be interchanged. Please guide on this." - yes it is. But some users have succesfull updated from KES10 256 to 11.1 56 with no any problems.
Dear Alexey, Thanks for your response, Actually i also explored many options but i guess there is not any cumulative report with devices installed with AES versions. Yeah the Registry key exactly mentions the Key module but in this case i want a report or something to know how many devices in network is installed with which Key module ? Also please guide any Kaspersky Link on difference between KES AES 256 and 56 bit module ??But some users have succesfull updated from KES10 256 to 11.1 56 with no any problems.
So far we have performed the upgradation from KES 10 AES 56 to KES11 AES 256, its not succeeding at all, even after uninstalling cleanly its still unable to install to AES 256, as there are so many cases in KASPERSKY FORUM also which indicated this issue. So please guide on above, Thanks -

Dear Support, Greetings, I got the private fix (pf5338) which includes msp patch for resolving specific issue, but when after creating and installing this executable package, its failing with error (License agreement etc), please guide what to write in "Executable file command line" which includes (license agreement, and silent install). Also please guide what does the option "Copy entire folder to the installation package" means ?? Please find attached snapshot. Thanks

Dear Support, Issue is resolved, it was due to TLS 1.0 disabled which was causing connection interruption and resulted failed to install SQL Server. After enabling it the SQL Server is installed so is KSC, this thread can be closed now. Thumbs up for super prompt response !!

Dear, Thanks for your response. Actually the embedded SQL Server 2014 Express edition is being installed which comes with the KSC 10.4.343, i have installed same package on so many devices of 64 bit but it never happened. Any other clue ? Thanks -
Dear Support, Greetings, I am having an issue while installing KSC 10.4.343, the server machine is freshly installed with all pre requisites: Windows Server 2012 R2 CPU:2 RAM:8 Disk space:50 gb But during the installation error appears (as attached herewith), I have also completely uninstalled SQL Server and all its component, restarted the server and re-installed KSC from scratch but every time same error appears. I am sure that its not the issue of KSC installation package because I have used this package so many times, also I tried to install SQL Server 2014 Express edition stand-alone package but it still halt and failed with error (in snapshot attached). Please guide on this. Thanks

Actually there are total of 8000 devices, 4000 thin client is managed from other KSC server and the remaining 4000 devices with another KSC server, so in fact there are 2 KSC servers for 8000 devices and both of these KSC server connected devices is having same error as mentioned above. Dear Support, Greetings, There is an error while sending heartbeat from command prompt (snapshot attached herewith), also so many devices are powered and running perfectly with Network Agent and KES Application but still its showing "OUT OF CONTROL" maybe just because its not synchronizing with KSC. KSC Version 10.5 and other KSC Version 11 Network Agent Version: 10.5 / 11 KES 11* I have checked the resources of Server, memory and cpu is barely utilizing 20% but still this error appearing. Please guide on this.. Thanks

Thanks for the response. I am using meta deta as well as all collected Executable files of Skype for blocking of Skype, but still its not working. I dont want to use KL category for this because i just wanted to block Skype (which is installed by default). Thanks -
