  1. Hi There,

i thought i would bring this up as this has not just happened to my self but also my parents (who use the same Kaspersky product)

While doing a Full scan on their computer,  Kaspersky picked up  1 object as a trojan,

the file was named InsydeFlash.exe and was in the recovery section of the computer.

Upon viewing their scan log, i thought to my self i would scan my laptop also (which is the exact same computer as theirs , along with Operating system etc)

during the full scanning of my laptop my Kaspersky picked up the exact same file for apparently being a malicious object and i have updated my laptop recently.

both my parents and my self have completely different internet browsing habits and they’ve been taught by myself for years to avoid dodgy websites and scams etc which they have done well.

I also did some research on the file  “Insydeflash.exe” and discovered its to do with HP computers / the Bios?

I'm thinking since my computer and theirs has been updated,  something inside that file for example the code has set off Kaspersky into thinking its a trojan virus?

Any help or advice or feedback would be great as this has come as a bit of a shock to ourselves.

    Thanks

    PC Build : WIN 10

AVG Name : Kaspersky Total Security

    Version: 21.3.10.391(g)

  2. It’s been 2 months, and I’m not sure if somebody is still in here. But anyway, we got a good news! Today I received a mail from Kaspersky technical support and it says “The issue between Grand Theft Auto V and Kaspersky VPN will be solved on the next patch, which is going to be released tomorrow”.

I will try it tomorrow, hopefully it’ll work.

good job, thanks for keeping this post updated

no more being booted,   also thankyou Kaspersky Devs for implementing this!

  3. Hello all!

Could you please additionaly clarify why is it necessary to change IP address during play GTA game?

    Thank you!

    Hi yes,

Grand Theft Auto Online  over the last few years has become infested with people using Mod menus (Cheat menus) to attack other players..  but since Rockstar has been clamping down on these cheaters and the developers of the menus,  the cheaters have become worse with how they behave online.

it is now standard for players to use a  VPN while on GTA due to alot of cheaters /  players like to perform DOS or DDOS attacks on players leaving them offline for a long time which has prompted the increase of VPN’s being purchased.

the last few months  quite  a few players i’ve spoken to have been DDOSED (Booted offline) due to someone from grand theft auto online has managed to access their IP address.

reason ive got VPN by kaspersky is my IP address is not dynamic and we need to be online in regards to contact during the corona virus pandemic

P.s the ddos attacks are performed by users using  websites which have been created to act like a Botnet, in order to keep someone offline for up to 10 minutes or more

    Thanks
