@Berny One more thing. Will the tweaks and settings that I made to the application be preserved after installing the new one ? (what I mean is that will the settings be set to default values ? )

My Kaspersky security cloud free version is 20.0.14.1085 (m). I’m from India. So to avail the auto update version and auto update app feature I got to install the latest version from Kaspersky. Right ?

This may sound like a silly question so please bear with me. I update the databases automatically. But do I need to update the actual application ? (like do I need to download the latest version from website and install it periodically ?). There is also an option to download the latest version from my Kaspersky account. So do I need to actually update the actual application ?

I don’t think I can. I’m using Kaspersky free. But according to your scan result it is indeed malicious right ?
I had my friend check this with Norton premium. But it showed clean.

Hi,
I think you guys’ve heard about Riseup vpn. It’s an opensource free vpn with U/L data download limit. When I browsed the internet everyone said it was a malware free software. But Kaspersky free has blocked the download (it flagged as a Trojan). Can anyone confirm if it’s a false positive or not ?

@Berny Usually WD automatically turns off when another AV is installed (had norton trial prior to KSC free). This issue exists only with KS.

There is no option to disable WD. I can only turn off real time protection. It’s not a permanent soln since restarting enables real time protection again.
