[Mouse/keyboard issues]

Does Kaspersky install its own mouse or keyboard drivers or change mouse/keyboard registry settings anymore? I read there were some issues regarding this in the past.
 

And why would the software have to do any such thing?

Excuse my ignorance but I’m a noob at antivirus. 
considering switching from Norton to Kaspersky.

[Can turn off all performance and other options?]

I’m thinking of buying Kaspersky to replace Norton 360 on my two windows 11 desktops. I’m not interested in performance apps, password management, kids, or anything else. Just want strong security, av, firewall, ransomware protection and such.

is Kaspersky standard the correct one for me? Can I turn off any non security features?

also, can I turn off notifications and unnecessary popups? This is the worst feature of Norton
