    if you are upgrading over previous versions ..try to uninstall everything initially ...reboot devices and reinstall.

    for stonecrop, you can use the kavremover utility - https://support.kaspersky.com/common/uninstall/1464

    it also happens that the system does not have any security updates for the OS required for the application to work, or it is damaged (they have an old version), try updating the system to the latest available versions.

     

    Hi ElvinE5, and thanks for the replay,

    I have already checked all the listed in the link, nothing works. I have uninstalled the previous version using add/remove program, it was successfully removed, also to make sure, I tried the kavremvr after the uninstall, restarted the PC... but nothing helped. 

    there are several security update already installed, yet.. is there any specific KBxxxxx or security updated that should be installed?

    appreciate your help.
