  1. Hi,
We have issues with our VPN connection.
When we try to connect we receive the error "Site is not responding"
We need to close the Kaspersky application in order to accept and trust the certificate.

Every time we make a change in our Checkpoint Firewall (for example when adding a new rule) Kaspersky blocks the vpn connection.

I have found that the issue is connected with the rule "Blocked url" which I have created in the Web Control function in the Kaspersky Policy.
When I disable the rule, VPN works. .

  2. In my environment it went back to work, I did the procedure to delete updates, remove all update tasks and reboot the server. Then I downloaded the updates and created the tasks again. Even though it crashed, but when it came to work this morning, it was likely that Kaspersky Lab released patched updates. The fact is that it worked.

Can you please confirm the steps of deleting updates?

Advanced → Repositories → Kaspersky Lab software updates and patches
    right button
    all tasks
    Clear updates repository

But as I said, I did it earlier and it had not worked. When I came back the other day, everything was ok. I believe it was not this action that worked, but it is worth trying

I deleted the updates, rebooted the server, downloaded again the updates and it worked!

I did not have to recreate the tasks.

    Thank you.

  5. By using the Write Filter are we protected from inserting usb sticks?
Depends. Theoretically there are some problems. With write filter the places where anything can write is very limited and nothing persist after reboot. But there is a possibility to use Thin Client as a jump point to other systems. The built-in Defender does offer some protection. HP supports a very limited set of AV products on Thin Clients. The question is whether you need USB on those devices. If not, you can use HP USB Port Manager to disable front ports and also disable connecting any mass storage devices on any ports.
It is not only about USB. The Thin Clients have email access via web client. So, threats may occur.
  6. HP does support limited set of AV products. Theoretically Kaspersky for Embedded Security is the product to look into. The real question is why do you need AV for Thin Clients in the first place? Your Thin Clients should be completely locked down with Write Filter. If they are running Windows 10 IoT then you also could get by with the built in Windows Defender.
By using the Write Filter are we protected from inserting usb sticks?
