[Install stops at 5 seconds [Closed]]

I ran the Microsoft Install/Uninstall trouble shooter and it found multilple corrupted registry keys. It fixed them all and then I ran the Kaspersky install and it installed successfully. Thank you very much for your help.

After uninstalling Kaspersky Antivirus and trying to install a new download from Kaspersky the install stops at 5 seconds remaining. I left it for an hour and there was no change. I canceled the install and that went down to 5 seconds remaining and the that also stopped at 5 seconds remaining. I have to do a forced program closure and then a restart of my computer. I cannot open or run any applications when this is going on. Multiple restarts has not resolved the issue. Windows 7 application.
