I moved a 5TB drive, nearly full of files, to my new computer. When the system is idle, Kaspersky Anty-Virus kicks of a process in background. This process appears to be scanning the contents of the 5TB drive, I can hear the arms on the drive moving. This has been going on for a month now and I was wondering how much longer it will take to complete what ever process the AV is doing on the drive. I want the protection so I don't want to exclude the drive from AV coverage.
Background process on 5TB drive has been running for a month. When will it complete?
