  1. But the scan itself didn’t stop, rather, the whole application just quit, similar to how you’d end it by right clicking it in the system tray and clicking “Exit”
  2. Yesterday, I was going through digital signatures of some files that Kaspersky couldn’t process when, suddenly, it turned off(the windows defender popup appeared saying “turn on Antivirus”). I have no idea why, as the files it was scanning at the time weren’t even malicious. I scanned my PC twice with full scans after, reset my settings and Kaspersky ran a background scan or two. I also downloaded HitManPro by Sophos and scanned my PC once, it only found a few tracking cookies and that’s it. Do I have malware or am I good? My only ‘theory’ for why Kaspersky could’ve turned off, if it’s not malware related, is that I accidentally right clicked and turned it off, as I was right clicking the files to check their digital signatures.
  3. I cannot, I can provide a screenshot of the detection log thing though. There were a few more of these files, all inside the C:\Windows\Installer\Razer\Installer\ directory. I updated Razer Synapse a few days ago, prior to that, Kaspersky has never had any processing errors regarding Razer files.
  4. They aren’t password protected. I just noticed some Microsoft Edge update files also couldn’t be processed, same with some Razer update files. Everything was working fine before this, what’s causing the errors? Also, I can delete all the files that cause the errors.
  5. I play videogames and I enjoy modding said games. I recently modded a Skyrim and I noticed a bunch of “Not Processed” files popping up after doing Full Scans. I also noticed that a file in the Nvidia Corporation directy couldn’t be processed either. Is this something to worry about or no? Most of these files are .zip files, except the Nvidia Corporation installer, it’s a .exe
  6. I think you misunderstood me again. I currently have an installed version of Security Cloud Free and I want to check whether it’s a legitimate, working version of it. To do that, do I just have to check whether the digital signatures are fine?
  7. I don’t think you understood, I meant if there’s a way to check if my current download of Kaspersky Security Cloud Free is official, not where to download it from.
  8. I don’t really remember where I downloaded from, I think it was from the official Kaspersky site, actually, I’m 90% sure it was, but I’m a bit paranoid about it. Is it just by Digital Signatures and whether they’re valid? I use the free version.
  9. Of course. You still have your Windows firewall enabled, right? How to turn firewall on or off Yep, never ever tampered with the settings or anything.
  10. Hello @BigHotStud, Thank you for posting back! From the four features @Igor Kurzin listed - yes. Please read: Kaspersky Security Cloud package comparison. Thank you🙏 Flood🐳 +🐋 Do I still have protection against RATs then?
  11. Hey, sorry for going back to an old threat, but what if I don’t have premium? Do I only have System Watcher and Network Attack Blocker then?
  12. Oh, that might be it! Most of the files are pretty chunky (the transfer window pops up), so it might be KSC then! Also, regarding the Disk Write Error thing, I checked my SSD using CrystalDiskInfo and I had a 97%, so I don’t think it’s a hardware problem. It’s most likely just a problem with steam, or that steam copies files from it’s own temporary folder to the common folder, in turn, KSC has to check it.
  13. Oh, no, the antivirus that picked it up on VirusTotal wasn’t kaspersky, it was just a completely random AV I haven’t heard about. Kaspersky hasn’t picked up anything on my PC.
  14. One more thing: I use a program that lets me monitor incoming and outgoing connections, as well as automatically scans them through VirusTotal. I’ve seen nothing malicious, well, except gamebarpresencewriter.exe, which, I think, was a false positive, as it only had 1/68 detections.
  15. I've recently gotten into game modding, but problem is that I, sometimes, get the popup of "This folder is in use!" when trying to move a mod folder into the game directory. I have no idea what's causing it, as a second later I can click "Try again" and it'll work normally. This also doesn't happen on just new files, so I have no idea what's going on. I haven't installed any new programs for a while, I don't think, maybe just downloaded a mod or two or something a long the lines of that. I also have KSC Free constantly running and do daily full scans, so I'm doubtful it's malware, but my paranoia says that I should still ask. Are these ‘symptoms’ of malware, or is something legitimate in my computer ‘goofing’ and making this happen? Forgot to mention: I've also had some "Disk Write" errors on steam that are completely random- sometimes they're there, sometimes they're not. Restarting the download makes them go away instantly.
  16. Wait, just to get this right. Are you saying that Kaspersky blocked the link before it could open in my browser?
  17. Oh, I had a completely different screen- it just said “Prevented visiting website”. Is this good?
  18. I know but I’m still concerned about “Previously opened malicious link detected” with the “Not Processed” result. I have no idea what it means. Is it saying that I visited the link in the past or is it saying that I opened a link that it found malicious in the past?
  19. I got to stop posting but one last thing. The website had an invalid certificate and kaspersky had the “Blocked” result on it. I just ran yet another Full Scan and it found nothing.
  20. A hour after opening this, I got a “Previously opened malicious link detected” notification and a “not processed” result. What does this mean?!
  21. I googled some stuff and it turns out one of the websites I visited, I think, attempted a driveby download. Kaspersky didn’t even let the page load fully and exited it, putting me into the “Prevented visiting website” page. I clicked on the address again in the history tab to check what the message was and it put me into the same webpage. I also threw the link through VirusTotal and each link got at least one detection. Here are the links in question: "https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjZhYjwkpXzAhWWyosKHZ3FAw0QFnoECAMQAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fweathergroup.com%2Fobsqsyzi%2F89aa50-youtube-ads-are-getting-worse-reddit&usg=AOvVaw3Vs2w9FN2IEDLr7Lj2ysDI" "https://cloud-repos.store/?url=I4WHKFughjLkOKjMhOYzBc7IyLBdU3l%2F8d65zRvGxXFlQjMHVSx6hrmYthxA3kLq4QrQTsTwiAD5dj8Lhc%2BRLWYm5kHceoAC6xr1Dc5TaA84xdzW%2FHGJmTERXycvDcjF" Am I good, since Kaspersky, I think, blocked these links? P.S- I’m doing a full scan as I post this, just in case and I’m using Security Cloud Free. Forgot to mention, Kaspersky also blocked these 4 attempted downloads (two each time I visited the link). Moderator note : Blocked links disabled
  22. I am using Windows 10 Pro, so it does have that feature, but it is disabled and, as far as I know, I’ve never enabled it.
  23. I’ve never installed a Remote Access PC app myself, so if any are installed they’re most likely PuPs or Malware, which, I assume, Kaspersky would detect. My passwords are pretty good and I have 2FA enabled on everything that supports it. Thanks for the info, by the way.
  24. I recently learned about RATs and I’ve been super paranoid about having one. I heard they’re mainly detected by signatures, but what if the signature is unrecognized or changes it? Does Heuristic Analysis pick it up? I’ve seen my PC behaving weird, but I’ve pushed the mouse stuff to being just a hardware failure. I’ve, recently, noticed some problems with my keyboard. Mainly, cameras switching while playing the game Rainbow Six: Siege or, today, some spaces, 0s and dots while typing in google docs (granted, it could’ve been me accidentally putting my hand on the keyboard). By the way, I use KSC Free.
