A Kaspersky scan with no detections means your system is clean.
But what about miners and RATs?
Have you ever heard of csrss being located here?

Hello,
I've recently discovered &SysReset and found a csrss.exe file in it, right under the "Scratch" folder. It seems to have been last modified in 2019 and another computer, which I also reset, also has a csrss.exe file, but that file was last modified in 2021 (before I reset it). I'm somewhat suspicious of this file considering, from my knowledge, csrss.exe should only exist in Sys32, though, I've scanned my computer numerous times with Kaspersky and a different 2nd opinion scanner (HitmanPro). Neither of them detect anything wrong. The file has valid digital signatures.
The main reason why I'm so concerned is because my computer did have a malware infection. Though, I performed a PC reset via Windows and thought that was it.
I'm adding the VirusTotal link for it:

Welcome to Kaspersky Community.
This is because those files are probably locked by the system at the time of scanning, also Kaspersky own files have its own “self-defense” protection against external attacks:
https://support.kaspersky.com/help/Kaspersky Free/Win21.13/en-US/68217.htm
https://support.kaspersky.com/help/Kaspersky Free/Win21.13/en-US/246063.htm
I see, so, those files can just be safely ignored then, right?
If they were a problem, the anti-virus feature would pick it up instead of the scan?

I don't think I've ever seen a Kaspersky Full Scan without having at least one unprocessed file in it. Though, I've began noticing that ever since the 15th of May, that instead of just one, it's been having about 7-8 unprocessed files that're consistently there with every scan. What's most alarming is that some of these files belong to the program itself. Despite said files, the anti-virus, from my understanding, works fine, apart from these errors.
Is this anything to worry about or just a bug with the update? Windows also updated on the 15th, so maybe it's something related to that?
I'm attaching an image of the unprocessed files.
In the "details" section it doesn't really give anything of value. It only says "Processing Error" and the file location.
Forgot to mention, these errors don't appear when doing a selective scan on some objects. I couldn't scan a few objects like the user data one in Edge as I couldn't access the folder.

I got two critical errors in one of my full scans but for some reason, when I click the error to show me the logs, it shows nothing. It still says there's 2, but it doesn't show the specific objects. It shows me the "Task has started" and it's showed me critical errors before, so I have no idea why it's not showing them now. The "Save Report" button also does nothing. It brings up a "save as" window, though, it doesn't actually save the file- nothing actually appears.
Is this just a bug or something to be concerned about?

Ohh, okay. I guess it doesn't matter that much as long as it works as well.

Do you have an active KSC license ?
Are you located in the EU ?
Which language version are you running ?
Yep, my anti-virus says that my free license is up and running.
Yes.
English.

Kaspersky Security Cloud updated into Kaspersky Free a long while ago, but today I logged into My Kaspersky and noticed that I have a "Not supported in your region" text for some reason. This warning isn't displayed anywhere in the programs, only on My Kaspersky. If I click on any of the devices in My Kaspersky, it says that my subscription is active and everything's alright.
To reiterate, KSC ITSELF updated to Kaspersky Free. Is it because I might've downloaded the EU version of KSC, is it something to worry about?

I ran an "application vulnerability scan" using Kaspersky today and it found a file in the "C:\MinGW" directory that it couldn't process. I had MinGW installed at one point but, from what I know, I completely uninstalled it. There's no environment path for it and the folder is never in my "C:\" directory. How did Kaspersky pick it up? Is it something to worry about? How do I remove it?
EDIT:
I ran another two vulnerability scans and neither of them picked up the file again. Was this some sort of bug or is it something to worry about? For context, I don't ever remember using the vulnerability scan feature apart from now. -

Hello @BigHotStud
Welcome back!
- Which Kaspersky Free version -> How to find the name and the version number of a Kaspersky application?
- SSL Report: pildyk.lt
- We get the error with MR6 but not with v21.3
- We've raised it with Support, we'll let you know their advice when it's available.
Thank you?
Flood?+?
Version 21.6.7.351
Hope this issue is resolved soon.

Also, to add, I've used both Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge and it still blocks the website. I tried accessing the site on my laptop and, again, it still blocks it.
The website is pildyk.lt, by the way.

I'm having a slight problem with Kaspersky- for some reason it's saying that a normal website, or at least it was in the past, has a bad certificate. I visited this website on my phone on Chrome to confirm, but Chrome found no problems with it's certificate. The certificate is fully valid and is valid until 2023. I also clicked the "View certificate" button and it also seems completely fine. The reason that the visit was prevented was because of " One of certificate files has incorrect extension". Is this a bug, did a normal website get broken into or is something going on on my end??

I realised that the behavioral detection component of Kaspersky Free is System Watcher, though, it says that System Watcher protects against Ransomware and other cryptolockers, it doesn't mention any other malware. Does it protect only against these kinds of malware or ALL kinds?

Hello @BigHotStud,
I think your computer did not get an unwanted visitor.
You have not executed any of the files from the stick. If something malicious would be started via autoplay, the program is first examined by 'Application Control' and stopped if it is suspected.
Since the scans did not find anything either, there is 99.9% certainty that nothing is there (no one can guarantee 100%).
I mean, I'm pretty sure I didn't execute anything. I also used the stick to install Windows before, so I know that there is a legitimate Windows Install file in it, I'm just not sure if it had any malware alongside in it.
Thanks for the reply, by the way!

I recently plugged in a USB to reformat it. It had the windows set up files in it, but I set it up back on my old PC which no doubt has a lot of malware. Kaspersky did a quick scan as soon as I plugged it in and found nothing, though, it only scanned about 5 files instead of the 50+ that were in there. I've done a quick scan, 2x full scans and a background scan- nothing was found. AutoPlay is enabled on my computer. There were files on the USB and I reformated the USB not too long ago. Nothing weird happened after I plugged it in. Am I safe?

I don't remember whether I accepted or declined the agreement when installing Kaspersky. I went through the settings and saw "Kaspersky Security Network Statement"- is this KSN? If it's on, does that mean KSN is on and everything's working as intended?

Sorry, I misunderstood Your 1st post, I thought Your KSN module was turning on/off (in this case it might be Your ISP)
In the case of protection turning on/off, follow @Berny suggestion to check the health of Your hardish, also You can try to do a Restore of Your settings of Your Kaspersky.
Well, I'm pretty sure my ssd is fine. I checked not too long ago and no other file corruption seems to have happened (except some windows files being corrupted a few months back). I reinstalled Kaspersky and it's been working fine since.
I'm more concerned about possible malware being what's turning Kaspersky off and on. Could it be that?

hi @BigHotStud,
It does not look like you need to reinstall Windows.
To feel safe, you can check for presence of anything looking strange:
1. Scheduled tasks. To open Scheduled Tasks, click Start, click All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Scheduled Tasks.
2. C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\
3. Press Ctrl-Shift-Esc, and the “Task Manager” will open. Click on “More Details” in the bottom-left corner of the window. Switch to “Startup” menu. Now, you will be able to view every program that starts up when you launch Windows 10.
Sorry for replying so late.
1. I checked that a while ago (I think) and I haven't seen anything suspicious.
2. The startup folder is completely empty.
3. Nothing suspicious there either.

Fair enough, though, again, doesn't csrss.exe being located outside of the Windows folder something to be worried about?
