bern replied to bern's topic in Kaspersky Anti-Virus
Hello, anyone has more information about these Virus? I cant find specific information via Google. Kaspersky deleted a setup file of Sydatec Password Guard v6. The files was download via official Sydatec Link, is this a false positiv or more likley someone did hacked their setup files to infect customers? Files was also checked with https://opentip.kaspersky.com Result: Detection names Backdoor.MSIL.FreakyHax.sb Trojan.Win32.Blockbuster.sb Trojan.Win32.Blockbuster.t Sydatec didnt answer yet. Disable VPN automatically for WLANs (How To)?
bern replied to bern's topic in Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection
Dear Team, I use the automatic rules with Kaspersky VPN that means, for WLAN1, i want to use VPN for WLAN2 i don’t want to use VPN. As example: If my Android Device established a connection with WLAN1 it starts VPN, the problem now is, if i drive home and my device does use WLAN2, secure connection is still running. Settings > Rules for unsecure Wlan Networks: secure connection Rules for known WLAN Networks: WLAN1 secure connection, WLAN2 do nothing. Enabled: “automatically secure connections with adaptive security” Anyone else has this problem? Kind regards, bern -
Hello Flood and Molann, Thanks, is it official that video streaming will be developed? b.) I did try it with US as location but it makes no difference. As soon as i log in with prime video or netflix, VPN will be detected and streaming is not possible. But i have seen there are different VPNs out there with streaming support. Was a bit frustrating to be in a hospital with a fresh license and then i could not watch prime or netflix via secure connection. Kind regards bern

Hello again Flood, I made a WLAN connection to “Freewave” (Free WLAN Hotspots in Hospitals and Hotels). At the same time i made a VPN with Kaspersky VPN - virtual location “Germany, Sweden and automatic” but when i try to see a Netflix or an Amazon Prime Video, i get an error message, with the information that i can’t stream / see videos trough an VPN. Kind regards bern

Hello Will it be possible to stream via Secure Connection in future? At the moment, streaming will be blocked via VPN by Amazon Prime and Netflix. Kind regards bern

Hello Andrey, sorry, i didn’t notice your reply. I have attached the .tar.gz file (logs) of Debian nonfree-firmware Live Image. I had to compress the tar.gz as zip, cause .tar.gz is a non supported file format by community upload.

I agree, i rly would like to have more supported browsers as alternative. Is there an official statement yet ? Will Kaspersky support other browsers in future? Kind regards bern

Hello, Thanks for your reply. >Did you use USB3 or USB2 flash drive? Did you try to write KRD on different USD Flash Drives and >try to load it on this computer? I did try it with an old USB2 and a CD-RW. >Did you use fresh Gentoo live cd? I did use Hybrid ISO (https://bouncer.gentoo.org/fetch/gentoo-20160704-livedvd/amd64/) LiveDVD but i created the image onto a USB Stick with Rufus. Worked fine, and the strange thing is, looks like its a Version of 2016. Means i did use the Live-DVD like an normal OS. >Debian without nonfree-firmware hangs on boot too or has other problems? Yes, hangs on boot similar behavior just with a different error, there was just one line “[2.332949] failed to find cpu0 device node” >Do you use BIOS RAID feature? No, 1 SSD, 1 HD but no Raid feature enabled. The settings of the screenshots were default execpt the XHCI Handoff, i changed it but same error. I also did try to change the Legacy Mode with the result that i had to reset the BIOS to default (cause he didn’t detect my Keyboard anymore). Kind regards bern

Hello, yes (i did try it), but same result. Do you know, has Kaspersky any Linux client files of Kaspersky AV ? In this case i just would create a working boot image (Gentoo Live-CD) and i would just add the files manually to the image instead of userng the non working image (for me) of KRD. Kind regards
-
Hello, Thank you! I see, the Image has a difference of about 1 MB (compared to the other image of https://support.kaspersky.com/de/14227?cid=KIS_20.0&utm_source=interceptor&utm_medium=product&utm_campaign=KIS_20.0 ). Unfortunatley, the same problem happens again. There is just a difference when the system freezes, this time it ends after AHCI. Image attached. I tried it aswell with the solutions above (Graphic Limited, Hardware Information etc)

I tried it with the image of: https://support.kaspersky.com/de/14227?cid=KIS_20.0&utm_source=interceptor&utm_medium=product&utm_campaign=KIS_20.0 a.) I used Rufus to create the KRD b.) I used "Etcher" (with my virtual linux box) c.) And i tried it with WinUSB With the same result. Kind regards, bern

Hello Flood, Thanks for your reply. At the moment i have installed Kaspersky Internet Security (latest version), but no other AV Software. Two weeks ago i had G-Data Internet Security, and the same problem with Rescue Medium. Their Rescue Medium was based on Debian. I just found out, that i had to create a Debian nonfree-firmware Boot Image (USB) to get a working solution but without AV Software. The abo was running out, so it was a good possibility for me to change the Internet Security Software (to Kaspersky). I did checked the Gentoo Live-CD to be sure that KRD works but for any unkown reason, Gentoo Live-CD works but not KRD (base on Gentoo). Kind regards, bern

Hardware Specs: Motherboard Model:ASRock Z390 Pro4 Motherboard Chipset:Intel Z390 (Cannon Lake-H) CPU: Processor Name:Intel Core i9-9900K CPU Platform:Socket H4 (LGA1151) Memory Type: DDR4 SDRAM Memory Speed: 1600.0 MHz (DDR4-3200 / PC4-25600) Module Manufacturer: Kingston Module Part Number: KHX3200C16D4/8GX At the moment, there is no reason for using KRD, so the good news are - it's not important. But i just want to be sure, everything is working in worst case (if i need KRD). Kind regards, bern
