  1. @Berny Anydesk had a recent security bug that was exploited by the hacker to secretly record my display and gain access to my webcam through MS Edge (assisted by Kaspersky as I said before). Hacker got access to my system on January 11, 2024. But for the past 26 days, Kaspersky could not detect a single thing. The hacker even turned off the green LED that flashes when you turn on your webcam. I always run a full scan once a week and I did that for at least 3 times since January 11. Guess what, Kaspersky could not detect anything. Now, I have my control back but hacker has lots of screen recordings and video footage to manipulate. He even browsed adult pornography sites, played the videos, recorded them, took screenshots of the browsing history when I was not using my PC. Again, Kaspersky was a mere spectator.

For the question to be asked of you (allowing or blocking) the camera, you must activate interactive mode

When you leave the box checked, even if you chose "Ask user", by default the action is allowed.

Uncheck the box under: Settings (gear) → Security settings → Object detection exclusions → Perform recommended actions automatically

Interactive mode (user questions) will be active and you will be asked to decide most actions.

@Guilhermesene4096 This is a weak implementation of a very important setting. A hacker recently accessed my webcam even though my browser permission is set to Always Ask. Don't you think Edge would have done a better job if I didn't even install Kaspersky?

Now I'm being blackmailed by the hacker coz he has at least 5 minutes of my direct face footage. He can do whatever he wants with manipulative AI technologies.

  3. My MS Edge browser has camera permission set to Always Ask. Kaspersky sometimes shows a webcam protection notification- Edge is accessing your camera when I'm not even using anything in the browser that requires camera permission. Does that mean, at the moment of showing that notification the browser was already accessing the camera and started recording me? Or, Kaspersky blocked the request to get my permission first? When I press Hide in the drop-down the notification fades away. Does that mean the browser accessed the camera as soon as I hid the notification?

Kindly someone tell me what's going on in the background.

    Thanks in advance.

  4. I have recently bought a Kaspersky Plus (single user) Subscription. It offers VPN & Password Manager services along with the antivirus. I already have VPN and Password Manager subscriptions on my Windows 11 PC from ProtonSo, the VPN and PM Kaspersky is offering has no use to me.

Is it possible that I keep the antivirus on PC and use the VPN and Password Manager on another device (mobile)? It would not conflict with the single user limit as I will use the Antivirus on only 1 device; VPN & PM on another, right?

Can I even do that? or single user means the whole Kaspersky suit has to be on one single device?

I'll be grateful if someone clears my confusion. Thanks in advance.
